I don't really get what regions are. I know that they are based on where u live.

Does it affect the game though? Like, do I only get matched with players in my region?

I'm just curious :P

Yes you only get matched with players in same region as you. Everyone in your friend's list in vainglory is also in the same region.
Mains: Skye, Kestrel, Celeste, Rona, Glaive
Not a roam main but I can fill any position.
