3
Skye Easy for her to misjudge her suri strike and run into the Gauntlet, and you can easily chase her through her ultimate with blood for Blood.
4

6
Phinn Phinn can pull you out of your Gauntlet, destroying it, or stun you in the middle of your dashes.
7
Koshka Her ultimate can stun you out of yours, and you don't have the peel to keep her off your team. Very scary.
7
Koshka I cannot tell you how many times a koshka has stunned me out of my ultimate, and also with her abilities and heroic perk she can chase down your teammates even if you vanguard them.
8
Idris He has 2 different ways to get through your Gauntlet without a reflex block, not good.
9

10
Lyra You can use NONE of your abilities in her bulwark. NONE, NADA, ZIPPO. Lyra is your worst enemy.

Item choices Top

The reccomended build is a good all-purpose build for supports. Especially for Mobile ones like ardan, who can reliably use Blood for Blood to get close to an enemy and use Atlas Pauldron on them. But of course, there are situations where atlas pauldron isn't the most effective use of that item slot. If the enemies weapon carry isn't the one doing most of the damage, consider holding off on the atlas in favor of an aegis. If you do swap for the aegis, be really agressive to the crystal carry in question in order to bait out abilities onto you instead of your teammates. Also it gives you the ability to reflex block things without using up your crucible.
The reason I talk so much about the atlas is that atlas and stormcrown are really the only negotiable items for supports. You could argue war treds are too, but for a support like ardan where his barrier scales off of health and he doesn't have energy, there's not really any choice there either.

On minion candies Top

You might be thinking to yourself right now "this must be a mistake, surely you didn't mean to tell me to get a minion candy at the start of the game". And that's where you're wrong kiddo, because minion candies can be very powerful if used right. Let's say it's 4 minutes, 30 seconds into the game, and you're getting jungle invaded, and you have a late game jungler who can't do anything about it yet. Pop a minion candy for your crystal sentry and let him beat back the intruders. Or maybe your laner is getting poked to oblivion and needs to go home, but you can't hold the lane on your own because you're ardan and not buying any damaging items. Let a minion candy fly and those minions will hold themselves.

On bonesaw Top

Bonesaw shreds armor on the enemy you hit. Obviously this doesn't do much for you on your own, but it does wonders for your weapon teammate who is getting bogged down with enemy armor. So for this reason I recommend bones awesome, since you'll most likely be adding more damage than with a WP item by yourself.

On aftershock Top

Aftershock goes off on the next basic after an ability is activated for 15% of the targets health. Blood for Blood can be used every few seconds if you're basicing with a Bonesaw. This is why I recommend it, because you can do damage no support has the right to do.

The gauntlet Top

Ardans ultimate is the Gauntlet, it's a very powerful ability with lots of potential that is almost never fully realized. The main use of the ability is to shape the fight and separate the enemy team how you like. It's most useful when you start a team fight with it, not to secure one last kill, as then they can just take the stun and leave.

Playstyle Top

As ardan, you want to get a little damage on the enemy team while watching for when your allies need a barrier. And also watch out for times when you can split a team up with Gauntlet, or let a ranged ally tear into a melee enemy through the wall.
