Threat Hero Notes
1
Reim Reim cant do much when you stutter step with the Wp. He may be a pain early game but late-game, with both you and your Junglers damage, you should be able to take him down.
1
Krul Whenever you pick up Atlas for your team. Krul will not be a problem. Simply set the atlas on him then stutter step him to death, and if your WP carry picks up a "Poisoned Shiv" Hes even less of a problem.

SAW Saw can be either a extremely easy target or an unstoppable beast. Effectiveness of adagio roam depends on whether he is CP or WP, CP will can easily shread a carry even with an adagio support, but if wp, once hes out of stacks its an easy target
7
Taka The arcane fire from adagio can reveal taka more times than not which can greatly counter him. However he can still burst down your carry late-game even with the heal if hes CP, making him a tough Hero to go against.
7
Baron Wp or CP Baron can burst down a carry easily. Even with the heal, Baron can do alot without you being able to do much to him. If hes caught out however he can be easily killed.

9
Blackfeather Blackfeather is known for being extremely sticky, he will be a bit tougher to take down as he will easily stick to your Allys.

Overview Top

Adagio is a widely underestimated Hero. He's great at Carry, Jungle, but what we're going to talk about is Captain. Captain Adagio can make some clutch saves under situations most teams would be demolished. From Heals, to Buffs, to absolutely demolishing the entire enemy team in a burst, Adagio has alot to offer. This build looks at Adagio from a rather odd perspective, using Weapon Power with adagio. Most would immediately disagree with the idea, however there are many reasons why this can work. Adagio can dish out alot of damage Early game with both the heal and buff, which can chunk an enemys health early on, mid to early game he isnt as much of a presense but his heals get better which makes his allys harder to kill. Hopefully this guide will make your adagio much better.

WP on Adagio Top

The use of both breaking point and tornado trigger on Adagio seems strange yes? well during a team fight the enemys focus the Carry and the Jungler, while you are supporting your teammates you can let out some serious damage building up breaking point stacks while stutter-stepping, by the end of the fight if your cards play correctly you should have atleast 15 stacks and can dish out serious damage to enemys while not worrying about being killed because your not a primary target. The addition of Arcane Fire and a buff to yourself can make the damage output rack up extremely fast! But remember your a roam so you must focus on keeping your Carry and Jungler alive, ill talk more about that in the next chapter.

Adagios Disadvantages Top

There are a few reasons not to pick Adagio which ill explain here. Adagio is more on the squishy side when it comes to Captains therefore if you know theres like a Kestrel, CP Joule or anyone that will burst you down, Adagio may not be the best pick. Or lets say theres a Cp Scarrf, Adagio may not be best and may want Catherine or Lance for the peel and Stun from Scarrf's Ult. There are some instances where you may simply need Lance simply for more peel. Each Roamer has their Advantages and disadvantages which make them who they are.

Supporting your teammates Top

Adagio can pair up extremely well with certain comps. For example teaming Adagio up with an Ozo is extremely effective due to Ozo's heroic perk. The burst heal from Adagio can make for some clutch saves, and turn arounds. Items such as fountain, Crucible, Atlas, Nullwave are all important but depend on the situation. For example Crucible would be an important 2nd item if your going against an enemy Koshka, Joule or any hero that has a stun, silence, root, etc that greatly impacts the team or a single person. Fountain is a 1st item must for every Captain build. Atlas is important for Enemys such as Krul, Ringo, sometimes a Joule, Anyone who needs alot of attack speed to be effective. Vision is an important role in any captains job so i recommend getting your contraption as a 2nd or 3rd item, depends on the situation. For example if theres an enemy Taka or CP Kestrel 2nd item contraption would be a good idea, but it all depends on the match-up. Whenever your wondering who you should use your buff on, I often recommend simply using it on yourself. Your buff is more effective when used on yourself, and when you add some weapon power to it, the damage can get insane over time. Situations where your buff should be placed on an ally include whenever you have an ally WP Saw, Ringo or another attack speed oriented Carry. Or simply if you know your about to die but you believe your ally can finish them off.

Conclusion Top

So, During the guide I have noted how the effectiveness of captain adagio is insane in certain comps. Not only is he an amazing captain, he can dish out some serious damage with a little bit of weapon power. Dust-off the old Adagio and give the build a try once the match-up fits the needs of Adagio. Go earn some Elo!
