Threat Hero Notes
1
Petal Skaarf's fireballs can shred through Petal's Munions and seeds in one go. Make sure that the Munions never get to you.
2
Catherine Just be careful when her second and your second mix and make you take constant damage.
2
Joule Joule can jump out of your Goop, but you can place and light a Goop where she lands, too.
2
Glaive A similar situation to Joule, where Glaive can Afterburn his way out of your Goop and potentially leave you with some time without HP regen.
3
Ardan Because he's a melee character, there's a low threat to Ardan as long as he doesn't throw down his Gauntlet.
4
Krul Keep kiting and make sure to activate your Aegis when he uses Dead Man's Rush.
5
Phinn The amount of tank can make Phinn hard to kill. Keep kiting.
6
Ringo Be careful of Ringo's attack speed when you don't have much armor or shield. He will pretty much kite you to death.
7
Skaarf Avoid Goop placed by the other team and fireballs shot at you. Kite.
8
Koshka Koshka WILL gank you from the jungle when she has the chance. Don't overextend or you will get ganked.

General Top

This build was suggested to me by my friend, and I've gone ahead and modified it to suit my playstyle. The main idea behind my build is to poke people to death at 7 BM stacks and have Goop and Burn give constant HP regen from the Eve. Then, I can use Skaarf's ult to finish the enemy team off or at least do major damage with the 7 BM stacks.

Try to hit as many minions as possible with a single fireball in order to farm as much as you can.

Broken Myth Top

This is the first item you should rush.

Even though my build has you starting with 2 potions and an Energy Battery, they are only there for you to hold off until you farm enough gold to get a Piercing Shard and/or a Heavy Prism. You then have to farm more for that Broken Myth, buying boots, potions and defense items as needed to survive.

Ideally, by the time you get the Broken Myth, you should be able to build towards an Eve of Harvest.

Eve of Harvest Top

This blue skull is the backbone of my build.

Once you have your Broken Myth done and dealt with, you need to start building towards an Eve of Harvest. Usually, 2 shop visits after getting the Broken Myth is when I'm able to get Eve.

This item is meant for a near-constant health regen. The Broken Myth is there to assist with the regen, with 7 stacks, Eve, and Skaarf's ult capable of healing him from one-shot to something decent in a few seconds.

Boots and Shield Top

These two items are items that I won't focus much on in this guide. These are just "buy when you can/have to" items.

I recommend buying a Light Shield and Sprint Boots to start off, and farm until you reach Aegis and Journey Boots.

Frostburn Top

This is a central item in the build.

After getting your boots, Broken Myth, and Eve, you need to get to a Frostburn, and fast. By the time you get here, you'll have only 2 inventory slots left for the two prisms. So buy them, and get the 850 extra gold for this.

The item, as you know, will slow when crystal damage is dealt. This is incredibly helpful for Skaarf (on this build at least), because he can deal crystal damage without even attacking. This leads to a snowball effect, where the enemy gets slowed, then you place a Goop right under them, which then lights up, healing you and slowing the enemy even more and letting your team have a better shot for a kill.

Armor Top

This is an item that changes depending on the circumstances.

If I'm going against a WP-CP combo, I build a Metal Jacket and leave it at that.

If it's mostly WP, then I definitely get the Metal Jacket.

If it's mostly CP, I get a Crucible because of an extra Reflex Block and increased health.

Occasionally, I substitute armor for some more CP with a Shatterglass. Mmm, Eve regen and two-shots.

Tips/Miscellaneous Top

  • KITE This build is all about kiting, both early and late game. You will die if you stay in place like a SAW.
  • Rush Broken Myth, then Eve, then Frostburn. While building, buy boots and defense when you have extra gold.
  • This build can also apply to Celeste and Reim, Although for Reim replace a Metal Jacket with an Atlas Pauldron.
