Hello Guys :D
This is my first attempt at making a vainglory hero guide!
Feedback and commments would be appreciated, hope to hear from you guys!

And dont forget to thumbs up if you love this guide!

I'm from the SEA Server and my IGN is : "iDontHaveAname"
(yeah, i know that's a pretty weird name lol)
and I have been playing vainglory since Lyra came out (around Summer 2016). I main Captain and Jungler heroes like Lance, Lyra, and Koshka.
That being said, lets get this guide started!

Overview Top

Grace is such an amazing hero, her difficulty level for her is set to easy
but she can be even deadlier when played correctly, she has very good ganking ability with her
Benediction, amazing crowd control from her heroic perk Retribution and Holy Nova,
also massive heal from Divine Intervention.
For me, she is like a combination of Lance and Lyra!

PROS

-Good ganking ability from Benediction
-Tankiness from Benediction passive that also scales with CP
-Amazing heal from Divine Intervention crystal ratio
-Good CC from Holy Nova and Retribution
-Pretty quick jungle rotation

CONS

- Holy Nova can easily evaded by mobile heroes
-Players (in SoloQ) ussualy lock in a jungler hero too,
because they may thought that you were going to be captain
- Divine Intervention can easily stunned

Here is Grace's Hero Spotlight

Ability Breakdown Top

Retribution
Slot: Heroic Perk

Grace chains her normal basic attack into a ground slam, dealing bonus weapon damage and slowing enemies in a wide area. If enemies are hit by the ground slam, her ability cooldowns are reduced.

Commentary

Retribution provides you good crowd control by slowing your enemies and AOE damage.
Grace's basic attacks also reduces her ability cooldowns by 1.5 seconds.
The slow is 75% and duration is 0.6 seconds (0.3 CP ratio), so keep smashin'!

Benediction
Slot: A

Grace dashes to her target, striking them with an empowered Retribution attack. Nearby allies instantly gain a directional holy shield that continually faces the target, while Grace gains a full holy shield that protects her from all sides.

-Holy Shield (status effect):
-Reduce incoming damage by 40% (+5% of crystal power).
-Passive: Upon learning this ability, Grace permanently reduces all damage she receives
by 10% (+5% of crystal power).
-Overdrive: This ability is refreshed upon casing Divine Intervention.

Commentary

Benediction, your gap-closing ability, just like Alpha's Core Charge, also your main source of damage with +100% crystal ratio and tankiness from the passive of this ability which permanently reducecs all damage she receives by 10% (+5% crystal ratio).
This ability works really well with Aftershock and has a pretty low energy cost which is only 35 at all levels!

Holy Nova
Slot: B

After a short delay, Grace knocks enemies into the air and disables them for a short time.

-On Overdrive, Grace gains immunity to negative effects when casting this ability.
-If this attack hits at least one enemy, Grace will immediately recover from the ability.
-Deals 50% damage to minions.

Commentary

Holy Nova is your crowd control ability, and your source of damage with 425 at max lvl (+200% crystal ratio), I really recommend to overdrive this ability because Grace will gain immunity to negative effects when casting this ability, which means it will be un-stun-able.
Always use Holy Nova when you really need it and sure it will hit an enemy because it uses a lot of energy
(125 at all levels) and you can recover from this ability immediately.

Divine Intervention
Slot: C

Grace instantly surrounds herself and her target with a full holy shield and begins channeling for 1.8s after which Grace’s target receives a massive heal.

Commentary

Divine Intervention should be used when you really need it, do not cast this ability in the middle of fight because it can easily be stunned, the healing from this ability is MASSIVE with 800 at max lvl (+150 crystal ratio) and it uses 0 energy!. Don't forget to use Divine Intervention a little bit early before your ally takes that big chunk of damage to ensure he/she is healed before they're hit (use this like a super strong reflex block to your allies/you)

Item Breakdown Top

OFFENSIVE

Aftershock | Category: Ability | Tier: 3 | Cost: 2400

After using an ability, your next basic attack deals 15% of your target's max health as damage with +50% lifesteal. Max 400 damage vs non-heroes. 1.5 second cooldown.

+25% Cooldown Speed
+2.5 Energy Recharge
+35 Crystal Power

(Very effective against enemies with high health.)

-Really pairs well with your Benediction
-The lifesteal is pretty good

Shatterglass | Category: Ability | Tier: 3 | Cost: 3000

(Crystal power increases the strength of abilities.)

-Raw crystal power to strengthen your abilities and heal

Broken Myth | Category: Ability | Tier: 3 | Cost: 2150

Passive: Amplify all crystal damage by 4% for each second you are in combat against heroes. After 5 seconds, you lose a stack each second. Max 9 stacks.

+10% Shield Pierce
+70 Crystal Power

(Helps your abilities deal more damage, especially against enemies with high shield.)

-The amplify will really ad-up in long-lasting fights
-The shield pierce will shred those aegis

DEFENSIVE

Aegis | Category: Defense | Tier: 3 | Cost: 2250

Activate: Reflex Block (35s cooldown)

+125 Shield
+30 Armor

-A shield with a reflex block, who doesn't need it?

Atlas Pauldron | Category: Defense | Tier: 3 | Cost: 1900

+85 Armor
+35 Shield

Active: Reduces attack speed of nearby enemies by 50% for 4 seconds in a 4-meter range. Does not reduce below the base attack speed animation. (20s cooldown)

(Counters enemies with high attack speed, but you must get close to the enemies to affect them.)

-I recommend building this than Metal Jacket because you can get close with your enemies using Benediction and activate Atlas Pauldron

Fountain of Renewal | Category: Defense | Tier: 3 | Cost: 2300

Passive: Lifespring
Active: Heals you and nearby allies for 2 health for each % missing health per second for 3 seconds. (60s cooldown)

+200 Max Health

+30 Armor

(Heal is especially powerful on allies who are almost dead.)

-Only build this if your team happens to have double jungler
-Or build this when your captain is too dumb to use it

Passive: +0.5 move speed. (Does not stack with other boots.)

Passive: Travel.

Activate: Sprint for 3 seconds (50s cooldown).

+200 Health
+15% Cooldown Speed
+250 Energy

(Allows you to chase down enemy targets and use abilities more frequently...or to escape trouble!)

-The cooldown speed and energy recharge is pretty good
-the sprint duration is 3s, which is longer than other boots

Tactics and Gameplay Top

TACTICS : Synergies and Tips

CAPTAIN SYNERGY

Fortress can boost your movement speed with Truth of the Tooth to chase up fleeing enemies and pretty annoying with those wolves from Attack of the Pack(don't forget to give him belly rubs after the match :D)

Phinn is just Unstoppable (hehe...), and can pull down fleeing enemies with Forced Accord, stun them with Quibble, and gives you fortfied health with his Polite Company

Adagio can't do much on the front lines but cant support you with Gift of Fire and Agent of Wrathand his stun is a little bit unreliable (no,you don't go to heaven)

All hail the holy Gauntlet of Ardan, his Vanguard gives you health barrier and helps you catch up with fleeing and running away, and his Blood for Blood has a pretty decent damage in the early game!
(dont forget to test his new upgrades :0)

The CC king of vainglory with slow from Bad Mojo, stun from Ordained, and fear from Fearsome Shade he is just to annoying to deal with.(no, he is not a zombie)

Lyra can heal you from the backline with Imperial Sigil(the more healer in team the better isn't it?), she can detonate it to damage enemies and gives you speed boost, and she can shutdown many hero movement abilities with Bright Bulwark

The CC runner up of Vainglory, can lock down every character(except Phinn, he is Unstoppable) with chain stuns and roots. Lance and your Benediction can continously root and wreck your enemies into endless despair

This purple fox is a very good match if you really love to gank, his slow from Fairy Dust is just sooooo annoying and a good combo with your Holy Nova

STUN,STUN,STUN, thats probably the mind of a Catherine, her silence feels like forever and those STUNS will lock those fleeing enemies like a potato

GAMEPLAY

Early Game (00.00-04.00)

Start the jungle with a Crystal Bit and a Sprint Boots and two Halcyon Potions
And contest the middle treant, if you/ally gets the last hid on the middle treant, keep pushing to enemy's jungle territory keep chasing for the weak enemy and don't hesitate to use your boots, just go for the first blood!. Continue farming and rush the Aftershock,if the enemy's jungler forget to clear the jungle shop minions, just steal their farms. EACH GOLD COUNTS

Early-Mid Game (04.01-10.00)

Keep rotating the jungle and steal your enemy's farm as you can, and don't forget to check out the lane to gank the enemy's carry. At this phase I recommend to start buying defensive items like Reflex Block and Light Armor, also build up your shatterglass ASAP. If a teamfight breaks out get to the front line because you're tanky enough to take some damage (thanks to Benediction's passive), and keep yourself/carry alive with your heal from Divine Intervention.

Mid-Late Game (10.01-15.00)

You should have AT LEAST two tier 3 offensive items and a tier 3 defensive item, teamfights will break out more frequently, and you will need it to stay alive. NEVER forget to put at least 1 scout trap near the gold miner/kraken spawn. Protect your carry wherever he/she goes (because they're the source of damage in the late game), and keep an eye on the mini map.

Late Game (15.00+)

Rush and build your Broken Myth and second defensive item, don't forget to buy Crystal Infusion before big teamfights, can finish your halcyon charger later. Keep the vision in the jungle, ping your captain for vision items, and keep your eye on the mini map. There are no room for errors for in this game phase, a miss-timed Divine Intervention or Holy Nova could cost you the game. So move strategically and don't be too pushy.

-Ganking tips and methods
-Will be adding pictures and gifs too (hopefully)
