Ardan Gauntlet is very hard to deal with. Try to avoid being in it always then you can poke and fire in easily. If stuck within gauntlet hit the target with everything.
2
Lyra You might think Lyra would be more of a threat with Bright Bulwark, but CP Idris is all about his basic attacks. Likely if Lyra engages on you, you will at least be able to knock out one enemy team memeber.
3
Catherine The lock downs form the stuns and silences are difficult to deal with, but well timed reflex blocks as well as some nicely placed Chackrams and uncanny kiting it isn't to bad.
3
Flicker Slow and stealth can catch you out, but Idris' middle name being mobility he can easily get out with his A and/or his C
3
Gwen The skirmishes in lane are troublesome. You will eventually overcome Gwen's strengths.
3
Joule Stuns and strikes galore, but Idris can easily punish Joule for any move she tries and chakrams coming back to you will hit a joule in the back.

Krul Krul is very easy to kite, but if he gets on top of you, you have to flee.
4
Grumpjaw Huge damage potential from his A and getting eaten is the death of you. Stay out of his way: just poke and kite.

Glaive After burns are nasty, but simply avoid them and you avoid trouble and you can punish with chackrams.

Blackfeather Sticky and high damage. Stay far away and poke until he is low then go in.
5
Lance His CC is super strong done let him root you. Use the A to get out.
5
Samuel If you can't get on top of him he just kite backwards endlessly. Surprise him and stick.
5
Skye Skye is another hero which kites backwards, so poke her do try and engage her.
6
Celeste Celeste is hard to deal with in lane because she can poke so easily. Poke back and get some assistance from the jungle to eliminate the annoyance.
6
Fortress Fortress can get a whole team on top of you in an instant. Stay alert and be prepared to flee with your shroudstep.
6
Vox If left alone, this hero will stack infinitely upwards. His bounces also push you out while farming, so, like his sister, get some well placed ganks to zone him out.
7
  No Threat
8
Koshka High damage and high mobility. Wait at least until your mid game spike before challenging a koshka.
9
Idris He hurts. Hurt him before he does it to you.
9
Petal Petal is very hard to deal with because of her very sustained damage, but one chackram can annihilate her munions.

Quick Overview Top

Idris is a hero with uncanny mobility and combos.

Idris' perk: divergent paths allows him to excel with either weapon or crystal builds. First, Idris doesn't use energy he uses stamina which is increased by energy and energy regeneration increases stamina regeneration. Getting 125 weapon power makes his A a blink and makes basic attacks regenerate his stamina as well as reduce the cooldown of his A and C by one second each attack. Crystal power makes his basics ranged that deal CP damage. You might ask, "Why would I want to build CP if WP give so many more benefits?" Well, my friends what if I were to tell you that WP Idris' only advantage is the blink on his A. CP Idris gets stamina back by hitting enemies chackram plus cooldown speed on CP Idris means he doesn't need the lowered cooldown from his basic attacks.

Idris' A: Shroudstep allows him to roll in a target direction and receive a barrier if he has not taken damage for 4.5 seconds. After rolling, his next attack will be empowered dealing more damage. This empowerment also affects his CP damage. On CP Idris though this ability will mainly be use for escape.

Idris' B: Chackram makes Idris throw a Chackram in the targeted direction dealing damage to enemies along its path. Idris can use his A and C to avoid catching the Chackram allowing it to circle through again. On CP Idris this is your main damage. Early game use this to poke at the enemy carry. Late game use this to poke anything. This ability does a considerable amount to kraken and I have seen this ability do up to 430 damage to the enemy carry on one pierce.

Idris' Ultimate: Shimmer Strike allows him to latch onto an enemy for 1.2 seconds or and ally for 2.8 seconds. The entire duration he latched he is invulnerable. He can tap off his ride to jump in the target direction dealing AOE weapon damage. If he does not tap a direction the whole duration, he will jump off in his original direction. CP increases the distance Idris can jump off his target. Most the time I find myself using the full duration of the Ult and only using it when in danger of death.

I will talk more about other situations of these abilities later.

Items Top

Most of these items are set in stone: Alternating current increases Idris's DPS, Shatterglass unlocks Idris' perk and increase damage, and broken myth increases your damage potential exponentially. Halcyon chargers are recommended over journey boots or war treads because of the cooldown and stamina increase.

Defense items are easily swappable Aegis, Altas Pauldron, or Metal Jacket are probably your best options. Aegis gives a lot of shield as well as the reflex block option. Metal Jacket has a lot of armor and a bit of shield. Atlas Pauldron can lower the attack speed of those major threats. PS: you can activate atlas while latched on with shimmer strike. Slumbering Husk is another option on Idris to cover his frailty. Personally I have never tried this option, bust it could work.

Tips and Tricks Top

Cp Idris is like a how Vox used to be before SEMC removed the Crystal ratio on Vox's perk. Idris can kite endlessly with his basic attacks.

Most fights will go like this, you throw a chackram in the midst of the team. The first target that presents itself you start attacking. Once a good angle appears to hit the lamer you go for it. Throw the chackram, if it hits, you commit completely and likely are able to elmeinate the enemy laner. Then eliminating the other two is easy.

The most difficult part of mastering Idris is hitting the chackrams. Just like any skill shot practice makes perfect. The more challenging part of Idris is using you A to avoid the chackram and get it in place to hit the enemy. Honestly though as CP Idris I don't want to be on the frontline so I don't do any insane combos with Idris.

Shroudstep is easy to understand engage or disengage.

The one trick I have for you guys is using shimmer strike to chase. Simply jump on your ally and jump off instantly towards the enemy. Easy distance cover.
