Threat Hero Notes
1
  No Threat
2
Ardan Don't get out of his ring and you will be fine. He's also just creating opportunities, because enemies will all go closer when he uses gaunlet, and you can just pop mad cannon.
3
Adagio He cannot even get close to you. If he does, pop mad cannon. If he's far away, pop suppressing fire.
3
Petal Easy. Just suppressing fire to kill all her munions. If they don't die, use mad cannon to aim at her. The splash damage will kill the munions as well.
4
  No Threat
5
Ringo Not dangerous nor easy to kill. But, you can outrun him with roadie run.
5
Taka He can burst you down easily, but remember to roadie run AND shank him in the face. Then just suppressing fire from a safe distance. But becareful if his X-Retsu is not on cooldown.
6
Glaive Get a reflex block to stop his knockback. His combo can also be really dangerous if he gets close to you.
6
Koshka Watch out for her stun. She can also easily chase you down. So do not let her get close to you. If she cannot get close to you, your perfectly safe.
7
Catherine A good Catherine will stun you after you use suppressing fire. So make sure to get s reflex block and watch out for the silence as well. Do not fire mad cannons at her because the deflected damage can literally kill you.
7
SAW A battle of skill shots. Try sending a suppressing fire when he sends one at you, and he cannot dodge it. Beware of his shank.
8
  No Threat
9
Joule Dangerous person. If you use suppressing fire, she can easily aim at you with big red button, and you cannot even dodge it. Do not let her get close to you at all, and watch out for rocket leap.
9
Krul Watch out for his stun. It's hard to dodge, and if you get hit by it, your pretty much dead. Like any other hero, DO NOT LET HIM GET CLOSE TO YOU.
10
Skaarf Early game is a devil. He will kill you so many times you will ragequit. Avoid fighting him till you got some damage and reflex block.

Introduction to Illumati Confirmed SAW Top

Basically, without stuns and Atlas Pauldron he's quite unstoppable. Just look out for when they buy Atlas Pauldron, and stay away from whoever buys it.
This build focus on crystal power, and purely crystal power. No weapon power is needed as long as you can land your Suppressing Fire.

This guide is based on over legit hundreds of games with this build.

Pros & Cons Top

After the nerf, i feel like SAW isn't just as good as before, going weapon power. It's even underpowered. Of course, i am wrong on that, but it's how i feel. So i decided to go crystal power and i love it.

Crystal SAW Pros
Crystal SAW Cons
  • No lifesteal.
  • Have to stay alive long enough to use Mad Cannon.
  • Low normal Attack damage.
  • Stuns are much more scary.

The Build Top

Your most important item. Without this, you basically deal no damage. Always get this first.

Get this right after Shatterglass to block out unwelcomed stuns or damage. Perfect item for you to stay alive long enough to kill somebody with all your Mad Cannon, well, cannons. *Epic sound effect*.

Crystal Infusion is my secret strategy. Get this item while your level 8-10. Your going to be really strong, really awesome, and really overpowered.

To spam not just your Mad Cannon, but basically all your abilties, this is the perfect item for you. Now you can run everywhere to chase people down or to let the enemy rage because they can't catch you. What a troll.

Another important item. Well, everything is important. But this here provides energy regen and energy. You use way too much energy for single roadie run. If your going to do something, get this.

This is self explanatory. However, i see a lot of people getting Travel Boots early. NO. Don't do that. If your good enough, you should have no problem reaching your enemies. But, i recommend getting it around 20 minutes into the game.

Counterbuilding Top

Crucible / Aegis
If you have 1 Reflex Block, get Crucible unless their is a Skaarf or they are going crystal. In that case, grab an Aegis. If you have 2, go for 2 Crucible or 1 of each. Do not get 2 Aegis, it's quite bad.

Eve Of Harvest / Frostburn
I personally will get Eve of Harvest, since it gives you insane health regen when you go pew pew pew... I mean, kaboom kaboom kaboom with your Mad Cannon. Quite cool, actually.

Actually, you do not need this item if your a good SAW, able to stick to your target. But since this is beginner friendly ( i suppose? ), get a Frostburn if you cannot stick to them.

Broken Myth / Reflex Block
Now, if your not even having trouble surviving, consider getting a Broken Myth. It gives you pierce, and works really well with your Roadie Run. Perfect combo, double score, breaker!... Wait, what?

If they seem to always stun you or just damage you so much that you die in less than 0.1 seconds, get another Reflex Block. I don't suggest a Fountain of Renewal since it takes time for it to take effect. And you need to kill people in the shortest amount of time possible. Turn this Reflex Block into a Crucible or Aegis.

Build Steps Top

Early Game ( 00:01 - 10:00 )
1. Energy Battery to start the game off, along with 2 halcyon potions.
2. Just go for Shatterglass and have at least 5 halcyon potions.
3. Reflex Block. Trust me.

Mid Game ( 10:01 - 20:00 )
4. Get Frostburn or Eve of Harvest, and get Void Battery first.
5. Quickly get a Chronograph.
6. Get Travel Boots.

Late Game ( 20:01 - 00:00 )
7. Finish Clockwork.
8. Broken Myth or Reflex Block.
9. Finish a Crucible or Aegis.
10. Time for Journey Boots.
11. If you got the 2nd Reflex Block, complete it into a Aegis or Crucible.

Abilties- Tips & Tricks Top

Spin Up
Slot: Heroic Perk

Every basic attack gives SAW increased attack speed, but it also significantly decreases his move speed.
  • Each basic attack grants SAW +15% attack speed.
  • Each basic attack decreases SAW's move speed by -0.09
  • Max 12 stacks.
  • After 3.5s without basic attacking, SAW rapidly spins down.

Tips:

  • Since this will make you move very very slow, keep orb walking whenever you attack. But tap the area where you WANT to go.
  • This is have toggle on or off button, so becareful when you auto attack something of no importance.

Roadie Run
Slot: A

SAW sprints & switches to a melee combat knife. If SAW stabs someone, he will deal bonus damage based on the target's missing health and roll backwards.
  • Activating this ability clears all stacks of Spin Up.
  • Crystal power will boost the run speed, up to a maximum of +3.

Tips:

  • Even though this have massive damage, it is not wise to spam this whenever you can use it.
  • Primary chasing or escape tool. Sometimes to poke as well.
  • Roadie Run+ Suppressing Fire to reposition yourself ASAP.
  • Try tapping the ground beside the enemy, then tap the enemy. It will prevent the Roadie Run fail glitch.

Suppressing Fire
Slot: B

SAW fires a hurricane of bullets in a set direction for 2s, damaging and slowing enemies in its path.
  • Finishing this ability grants all stacks of Spin Up and resets the cooldown of Roadie Run.
  • Pressing the button again will end Suppressing Fire early.

Tips:

  • Your awesome main damage tool. Don't spam this too much, though.
  • Before you fire, Think what will happen. Then, fire.
  • The slow is under rated. Somebody like Joule can easily catch up and land a clutch stun with her Rocket Leap.
  • you can engage with this, but be sure you don't get stunned immediately.

Mad Cannon
Slot: C

SAW fires an explosive shell, dealing damage to nearby enemies when it explodes.

Tips:

  • Atlas Pauldron heavily counters this. Make sure nobody on the enemy team with that get close to you.
  • You have to stay alive to fire all the Mad Cannon. Buy Reflex Block if you cannot fire all of them in time.
  • Activate this when you can. But do not use it twice if the total amount of Mad Cannon stacks you will have is over 10.
  • If your Mad Cannon already have for example, 9 stacks, then use all of them on the enemy. If they still don't die, just use your Mad Cannon ( which should not be on cooldown according to the tip above ) again for 9 more stacks. 9 + 9 = 18 = immediate surrender.
  • Crystal Infusion helps you fire much faster. Like, i said, get it around level 9-10.

Teammates Top

The stun will just let you go boom boom boom on the back lines. He can also heal and buff your auto attack damage, even though you don't need any auto attack damage.

Make sure that when he lands his gaunlet, you are OUTSIDE of it. So then you can safely attack. How sweet of him.

Perfect combination. Her stun lets your Suppressing Fire hit, her silence lets you go ham with the Mad Cannon.

His Afterburn knocks the enemy straight back into your Mad Cannon. However, him knowing the enemy away from your Suppressing Fire or Roadie Run can be annoying. So be sure to have some teamwork!

Why not just race to see who can run faster? Just joking. You can Suppressing Fire the enemy, allowing her to catch up and perform the ultimate combo. Just don't count too much on her stun, it always gets Reflex Block. Poor girl.

The stun is really good to help SAW run away or chase. Not to mention the extreme overpowered damage when you use Roadie Run and he Spectral Smite the same person at the same time.

She have her flowers of awesomeness which can boost you significantly if 5 are all stacked. She also have her AOE ultimate which can give massive damage along with your Mad Cannon. A good AOE team.

A good slow and a lot of attack speed, but not much AOE damage except his Hellfire Brew burn. Not recommended to get paired up together because Atlas Pauldron gets much more dangerous to both of you.
Perfect. Use Suppressing Fire when he channels his firey breath. Then. Just fire with Mad Cannon because the fire slows them down. A really good combo ( and AOE team ).

He have his ultimate, which provides a 50% lesser heal rate on the hero its used on. He also have his invisibility which can scout areas out for you, But i don't recommend having him on the team.

Keep in mind the effectiveness of each teammate is not by what hero they use, but by how they use each hero.

The End...? Top

I'll probably add on to this, so this is definitely not the end! But thanks for reading everything, and be sure to give a thumbs up if this guide is useful! If not, thumbs down, i don't care, i am a SWAG LIKE BO$$. Also, comment below what you think of it. Do you agree or disagree? Lemme know!
