Introduction Top

Crystal power Blackfeather is widely unused, but can be very strong and capable of hunting down enemies, and poking the enemy team. Blackfeather is extremely effective into double or triple ranged hero composions, and can go toe to toe with most other junglers. His crystal path excels when poking with On Point and building Heartthrob stacks, then jumping in and deleting the enemy hero. I have found that CP Blackfeather works better in the jungle, but playing him in the Lane is also a viable option. I will write this guide in the position of a jungle BF.

Early Game Top

Early on, CP Blackfeather isn't overly strong. You'll want to play conservatively for the main part, but if you need to chase an enemy down or make a hasty retreat, the Sprint Boots will be quite useful. Focus on farming but don't be afraid to recall to the sancuary too often to spend your hard-earned gold.

Mid Game Top

Once you obtain Alternating Current, you'll get a nice power spike. I wouldn't recommend trying any jungle invades unless you're ahead, but you might want to try a Lane gank or two. On the defensive side of things, a reflex block can counter most situations, but if you're playing against a Vox or Ringo you might want to rush an Atlas Pauldron. Jumping on the enemy carry and activating Atlas Pauldron can severly cripple them, and potentially land you an easy kill. If you are playing against a Koshka or Celeste however, it will be a good idea to pick up some early shield. All circumstances vary, but you'll want to start building towards your Shatterglass as soon as possible.

Core Build & Play Style Top

Once you get your full offensive set of items, you'll be a force to be reckoned with. Make sure to use On Point on enemy heroes as much as possible, because it will build Heartthrob AND Broken Myth stacks. If your enemies let you build up stacks it could vary well be a death sentence to the enemy carry or jungler. If the oppsing side chooses to dive you or your carry, you can easily reposition with Rose Offensive if you need to. In this case it is sometimes effective to dive onto the enemy carry and let chaos ensue, but be careful not to overextend and let the carry enemy hero kite around you. If you are ever chasing an opponent with at least one of your allies, don't forget to activate Feint of Heart (even if you don't have full Heartthrob stacks) because the rose trail will also increase their movement speed, not just your own.

Late Game/Full Build Top

In particularly long matches, eventually everyone will finish their build. If everyone on the playing field finalizes their build, I recommend playing very conservatively, as most of your enemies will have probably built shield. For your last few items, I recommend more defense unless you want the lifesteal that comes with Eve of Harvest.
