2
SAW SAW the sitting duck. Get rid of his stacks and you are done.
3
Krul Krul is pretty easy to takedown but just try to avoid his abilities and stall him for a while. When he reaches more than 4 stacks, afterburn away and stun him if he gets close.
3
Ringo 3 steps. 1. Afterburn (don't stun yet), 2. Bloodsong and stun. 3. Twisted stroke and finish him.
4
Joule Joule is pretty easy to kill, when she is using her ultimate, try to stun her or jump out of the way using afterburn.
5
Adagio Easy to counter Adagio, when he is using his ultimate, either stun him or use reflex block.
5
Koshka Koshka is not much of a threat, just try to stop her from using her abilities and you will be alright. Tip: block her stun with crucible.
6
Glaive The pro with the better build wins!
7
Petal Petal is pretty easy to counter. If she uses crystal: destroy her minions with afterburn and bloodsong in a quick succession. If she uses weapon: your screwed.
7
Skaarf Early game Skaarf will dominate and could even get a lv1 kill. Late game Skaarf = Useless
7
Taka Taka will be tough but can still be easy to kill. When he goes invisible, attack him with your afterburn and reveal him.
8
  No Threat
9
Catherine Catherine is a nightmare, she can stun and silence you leaving you vulnerable. Don't attack her while she has her stormguard up
10

Introduction Top

First of all, if you want to tank/protect with Glaive, then this is the guide for you!
Tanking with Glaive isn't hard as you think, he currently has the most amount of health in the game and is capable of doing large amounts of damage to his enemies.
Still not interested?, Did you know: You can slow enemies down with ALL your abilities if you get Frostburn and STILL protect your allies.
Like I mentioned before, Glaive has a lot of health, thus making it harder to kill him.

Please do not use this build against me*

Glaive's Skills and Abilities Top

Hunt the Weak
Slot: Heroic Perk

Glaive's critical strikes cleave in a 4-meter cone in front of him.
  • Cleave deals half damage to minions.

Afterburn
Slot: A

Glaive rockets in the target direction, damaging all enemies along the way. His next basic attack is replaced by a frightening blast that knocks his target back 5.5 meters and briefly stuns them.

Twisted Stroke
Slot: B

Instantly executes a critical strike.
  • This ability deals weapon damage, but it can deal bonus crystal damage if you have any crystal power.
  • Triggers basic-attack effects.
  • Passive: Increases critical-strike chance and AOE-cleave damage of basic attacks.

Bloodsong
Slot: C

Swings Glaive's axe in a 5.4-meter circle, dealing massive area damage that increases with the number of Bloodsong stacks used. This removes all stacks.
  • Passive: Glaive generates Bloodsong stacks from basic attacking or from receiving basic attacks (max 20 stacks).
  • Each stack grants Glaive bonus lifesteal.

Item Explanation Top

Journey Boots: Everyone knows that speed is important for running away and chasing(except for those who don't ever buy boots)

Tension Bow: Every tank shouldn't always build full armor or shield, that is why we have this item in our build. It helps conflict massive amounts of damage to the enemy.

Crucible: The item is mainly for the team. The benefits of this item is that it gives large portions of health aswell as a shield ( Reflex Block) for the team. Use this in team fights such as when Adagio or Catherine use their ultimate, use the ability at the right time to neglect all damage dealt by their ultimate. Note* This is a life-saver.

Fountain of Renewal: This item allows you to heal large portions of your health and nearby allies aswell as provide shield and health/regen.

Frostburn: We all know that Frostburn allows abilities to slow down enemies if they are running away from you or chasing your allies. Not just that, it gives more energy, crystal power and energy regeneration.

Metal Jacket: This item is mainly for defense. You might not reach this point in game.

Item Explanation - Situational Top

Aegis: Swap this with Metal Jacket if enemy builds crystal. It also provides an extra shield ( Reflex Block) just for you.

Aftershock: Immediately swap this item with Tension Bow if you have maxed most of your items out in late game.

Atlas Pauldron: Immediately build this after you have built a Weapon Blade, an Energy Battery and 2 Oakheartat the start of a game if enemy builds attack speed or if against SAW. ( Metal Jacket is replaced)

Skill Explanation Top

Afterburn Afterburn used correctly could dominate when in team fights. Use this when engaging in a team battle or when trying to escape enemies by going through walls. I personally like to use this skill to push enemies into allied turrets/heroes when they are not expecting it.

Twisted Stroke Twisted Stroke is your secondary damage-dealing ability. I recommend using this when after you have used your ultimate (in a team battle of course).

Bloodsong Bloodsong is your main damage-dealing ability. Do not use this if you do not have at least 10 stacks. I recommend attacking neutral creatures or minions to stack up before heading into team fights. Don't be afraid to use this, just remember that it gives health after landing a successful hit.

Conclusion Top

In Conclusion, the build you see right here is for those who REALLY want to make comebacks and are determined to lead a team. Note* you need experience with glaive before using this build or else it would be difficult to win.
