Chapter 1:Carry(Kestrel) Top

The first most needed role in every game in Vainglory is the Carry.Without a carry on a team, there will likely not be many kills.Carry players focus on powering themselves up by getting gold from minions and securing kills.
Carry heroes should usually be at the lane,to ensure that their turrets are safe and they can get kills. After all,the lane is where most of the action takes place. However, carry players do not focus on defense, making them fragile and easy to kill. This is why they must often keep near turrets or Captain players. If not,it could be the downfall of the entire team.An example of a carry that I will explain is Kestrel.Kestrel is a Stormguard archer that has much damage output. With weapon builds, she could be powerful, but I suggest crystal builds as this allows extremely aggresive tactical plays. She is easy to catch unaware and will need support constantly. Her heroic perk,Andrenaline, can help reduce the cost of her abilities by 10%.Her first skill,Glimmershot, can be spammed up to four times, dealing a lot of damage output, with only 3.3 seconds needed to reload. Her second skill,Active Camo, can be used to ambush or run from enemy players, and with Clockwork, can be used repeatedly, with only the disadvantage of being unable to trigger it when attacked. Her third skill,One Shot,One Kill,is just as it name implies, being able to secure a kill wherever it is across the Halcyon Fold. All in all,Kestrel is a good carry hero that,if used well, can go 1 v 3 and make it out alive.Though she is a carry hero, she does best started at the jungle, with less obstacles standing in the line of fire. Now,though Kestrel sounds fairly great and all,she is still a hero with many weaknesses and needs to be played well to succeed. For example,Petal could take her down easily, and if gotten to close range, melee heroes could take her down in three hits at late game. So,here are some tips on how to play Kestrel.

Tips:
1.When in the lane, beware of enemies hiding in the bush, waiting to get you caught. If done well, you could turn this into an advantage.Use Active Camo to check through the bushes once in a while,if you find a enemy, run back and retreat, alerting your teammates, turning your misfortune into a free kill.
2.Do NOT use One Shot,One Kill, unless enemies are at considerably low health. When using it,use the map to see where your enemies are,to make your chances of the kill more likely.
3.As one of the few heroes that can use stealth, she can backdoor through enemy lines easily, turning the tides to your favor and ending the game once and for all.
4.When a enemy gets close to you,and you are hiding in a bush, use Active Camo.As soon as the enemy steps in the circle of your mist, spam Glimmershot while the player is stunned, making him have to escape. This will either allow free kills or push enemies back with fear. After that, its just a matter of precise timing with One Shot,One Kill.Same goes when being chased,if you are far enough from the enemy to use Active Camo, use it and when he gets in the ring, shoot him down for a free kill.
5.When jungling, make sure you have your Captain or Jungler following you,for backup. When caught by enemies, run back to your lane or your crystal miner. That should chase them away.
6.If found alone, with your teammates down, and enemies are stealing the Kraken, use OIne Shot,One Kill to steal it by timing it just right, allowing some time to be delayed. However, this is not always easy,so you must stay a fairly close distance to the Kraken to do it.

For builds:
Now,you can't play Kestrel without something to boost her attacks or abilities. As said earlier,I prefer Crystal Kestrel,so i'll show you my recommended build for it.At the start, build Sprint Boots and Crystal Bits, along with a Halcyon Potion if wanted. Then, follow on.Your final build should be as follows, this is because ShatterGlass boosts the abilities damage,Clockwork could make you go on stealth forever,Broken Myth will allow GlimmerShot to do more damage to heroes, especially heroes with high shield,Aftershock helps with enemies that have high health,Halcyon Charges makes you use abilities more often and Slumbering Husk can help survive against enemies with high burst damage such as Crystal Taka,Crystal SAW and others.

Skill Order:Focus on overpowering GlimmerShot to focus on kills, then Active Camo to easily backdoor and trick.
I recommend keeping your Ulti at second,as it is only used to secure kills and will be enough in late game.

Chapter 2:Jungler(Koshka) Top

Now that we have established the carry's role,it is time for the hero that can change your fate in the way they play. The Jungler is a type of hero that usually ends up ambushing enemies with the Captain, allowing the Carry to obtain easy kills, and suprising the enemy with cheap tactics. The Jungler also gets most of the gold for their team, allowing them to upgrade quicker. In certain situations, the Jungler could could end up carrying the match to an end, with their high levels. At the start, they are accompanied by the Captain.Later on,they will be left alone to Jungle as the Captain supports the Carry in the lane.In conclusion, the Jungler is one of the most controversial roles in the match. The example of a Jungler I will show is Koshka.Koshka is a assasin that jungles to get high levels to ambush you, getting in and out of enemy territory. Her skills can stun you and allow her to slip away easily, making her impression as a hero as,"There, done? Now i'm out, peace!".Her first skill,Pouncy Fun,dashes to the enemy target and deals crystal damage. Her second skill,Twirly death, does crystal area damage, with her next 2 basic attacks dealing bonus crystal damage. Her Ulti,Yummy Catnip Frenzy, makes Koshka launch into a frenzy of attacks, stunning the enemy for 2.2 seconds.Any of her skills after used will trigger her Heroic Perk,Bloodrush, giving her a 2.5 move speed for 4s.If played well, she could invade enemy jungles as well. However,as good as it sounds, though she is easy to play, messing up with Koshka could cost your team BIG TIME.She is also known as quite a weak assasin with a few hits being able to kill her. So,here is some advice for playing Koshka.

Tips:
1.When playing Koshka, make sure you don't jump into a bunch of enemies alone.Things will not turn out well.Focus on assasinating single targets.
2.Careful when using your Ulti.Players can stop it halfway with Reflex Block,so be aware.
3.After using all skills against a enemy, get out of there! You can't handle much damage as a weak assasin!get back to your Captain or your Turret.
4.Wait for your teammates to go first, then jump into the fun.
5.Focus on getting gold for your teammates,it will be thanked through the kills they obtain later on.
6.Stay away from enemies with high health.you cannot handle them alone.

For builds:
Now,as Koshka is a weak Jungler, she will require at least 2 tanky items to stay alive in battles. That is why it is recommended that you build Metal Jacket/Atlas Proudon(For Krul enemies) and Slumbering Husk,to protect against high burst damage opponents. The rest, recommended should be Broken Myth,ShatterGlass and AfterShock, with Halcyon Charges. You may edit it to your own preference, depending on enemies you are facing against.

Skill Order:
I suggest overpowering your Pouncy Fun and Ulti, leaving Twirly Death at Four. This is because mainly your ambush attacks are focused on them, while Twirly Death is for lane minions or if you are caught in a large group of enemies.

Chapter 3:Captain(Flicker) Top

The final Hero and the Hero that gives the commands to the team,Captain,is next. The Captain tanks for the Jungler in early game, and helps the Carry in the lane later on.He tanks for his teammates, and prevents enemies from running away.Their abilities are focused on mostly helping the Carry get kills, usually, and builds utility items usually. They buy items such as IronGuard Contract and Scout Traps. The Captain hero I will show now is Flicker.Suprisingly,as one of the weakest known Captain in the game,it makes up for it with his damage output, even without items to boost it.Especially known as one of the heroes that can actually use stealth, his abilities unlock the power to use devastating strategies against their enemies. Her Heroic Perk,Willow Whisper, can allow her to go stealth just by moving around a bush for a certain period of time. Her first ability,Binding Light, can do crystal damage to opponents like Lyra, and root them when ending. Her Second Skill,Fairy Dust, gives her a ring of fairy dust around her to slow and hurt enemies that are in it.Her Third Skill,MoonCloak, gives her entire team stealth for a period of time unless they are attacked or attacking.Though a great Captain Hero, and can counter many heroes alone, real skills will be needed to actually do good and get the win for their team. Here are the tips:

Tips:
1.If seeing a group of people, jump in first, allowing your teammates to damage behind.
2.When sneaking in,use Willow Whisper to go stealth. Then, when in front of your enemy, use Fairy Dust to slow them down, and Binding Light to get some bonus damage.
3.Don't go near Turrets or Crystal Miners to chase others, they can see you even with stealth, and allow your opponent to fight back.
4.Do not use MoonCloak unless sure your teammates are not fighting and are running from enemy. If not,it is worthless.
5.Stay with Jungler in early game,do not go in alone, you are still too weak.
6.When low health,go back, recall and heal up.You never know when you need to go back in for another push.
7.If enemies are close by,and you are alone, run. They can take you down in few seconds with proper teamwork.

For builds:
Though people like Crystal Flicker,I prefer going half Utility and half Defense,so i can stay in the fight longer and be able to tank more damage for my teammates. So,build Fountain Of Renewal to heal your teammates,Slumbering Husk for high crystal burst damage opponents,Metal Jacket/Atlas Proudon for prevention of basic attacks,StormCrown,ShiverSteel, and War Trends. If willing, replace Metal Jacket with ShatterGlass.

Skill Order:
I prefer overpowering Binding Light and Fairy Dust,as Mooncloak is only used to escape from foes, usually not too important in battle.Binding Light and Fairy Dust will offer a more battle ready Flicker,so go with that.
