Threat Hero Notes
1
Kestrel Close the gap and take Kestrel down. Beware her cloak.
2
Phinn Do not get stunned but other than that Phinn can't do much to you.
3
Catherine Avoid getting stunned, but aside from that Catherine can't hurt you much.
3
Lance Same as Catherine, avoid getting stunned but aside from that you aren't in much danger.
4
  No Threat
5
Alpha Depending on wether or not the enemy Alpha has infinite reboot charged makes this easy or hard.
5
Fortress More annoying than anything. Keeps you pinned down but is easy to handle if you play defensive and use sneak attacks.
6
Celeste Beware The range for her attack and close the gap as fast as you can using prime directive.
7
Koshka Koshka can jump in and out of battle easily, so use prime directive to track her down. She goes down easy one on one if she can't run.
7
Baron Baron has very high damage attacks, but they are easy to tell where they are going due to telegraphs and therefore are easy to dodge as long as you aren't too aggressive.
8
Idris Avoid his chakram and depending on his build you may want to use hit and run tactics to kill Idris.
9
Ringo Be very careful trying to kill ringo as his range and speed make him hard to deal with.
9
Krul It is a bad idea to fight Krul one on one although it is possible to win.
9
Ozo Although it is possible to beat Ozo by yourself, it is inadvisable to attempt.
10
SAW Avoid if he has full spin up. Be careful even if he doesn't. Never a good idea to fight SAW alone.

How to be the Alpha and the Omega. Top

Disclaimer: Alpha is automatically set to be weapon, and everyone else I've seen use her go with weapons. This is not what I do. I go full crystal, and I'll show you how to as well.

This will be an all purpose guide on playing Alpha in blitz, standard, and battle royal with both carry and jungler roles. It also leaves plenty of room to be flexible to counter what your enemies decide to pick for their items. So I'll give a short list of who to avoid going solo against, as well as key items to help this build have maximum effect against whoever you fight.

Who to avoid: SAW, Glaive, Ringo, Ozo, along with anyone who has high weapon speed.
Alpha can heal herself with basic attacks after using core charge, but ranged foes with high firing rate can tear you apart before you're out of the brush. Be careful as an entire ranged team can pose a threat, but if you play well using the tips in this guide, you should be fine.

Who to gun for: Weapon build Alpha, Catherine, Kestrel, anyone with low shield.
Alpha was built to kill stormgaurd, so it would make sense that the two in the game would be her prime targets, luckily this remains true. Avoid Catherine's stun if you can, as stuns at all are very annoying, but for the most part you can just hit them until they die, which is normally fairly fast. Be careful of Kestrel's cloak as most people try to flank you with it.

Who to celebrate having on your team: Celeste, Kestrel, Skye, and Krul. Anyone with fast firing rate and long range weapons is good, and Krul allows you to take turns with life steal moves as well as pinning down and slowing enemies.

I am unsure how Grumpjaw will fit into the strategy once he comes out, but from the A to C video I would guess he is a melee tank.

Item you NEED: Alternating current, aftershock. No joke just these make all the difference.

But enough telling you who to avoid and who to go for, time to tell you the full strategy of how to do this's its master performance.

Blitz guide:
Blitz is the newest fast paced game mode that never goes over five minutes, starts you at level 9 and with 4000 gold. This is perfect as you can get both staple items from the guide from the start! So first thing get Aftershock and Alternating current. You just happen to have just enough money to buy a crystal infusion, which boosts your crystal damage for 2 1/2 minutes, which just happens to be half of the match, or the full match if you are good. If the boost runs out don't get another, as you will build your crystal damage with better items by the time it matters later in the match. Ok by now the match has started. As you run into the mix max out prime directive so it has a low cool down and boosted range, level up core charge twice and termination protocol twice as well. Go to where the gold miner stands and hide. When he spawns do one of two things. 1) If you have a friend take the gold miner out first thing, as if you followed this guide you should have made it here before people finished buying stuff. 2) Use Alphas prime directive to close the gap and kill steal from others. You can take the gold miner solo in about 10 seconds at any given time in blitz so keep that in mind if you know where everyone is and if you think you can do it. If people come to kill you and the miner is almost dead, trigger termination and they will either run, or try to kill you or the miner, keep targeting the miner and there is a high likelihood you will get the kill, as if they attack you you will explode, killing the miner and maybe them as well. As dying is not a good thing in blitz I recommend not going against heroes alone unless they are easy to kill. Also buy more items depending on your situation. If people run, use frostburn to pin them down, and if they have boots, wait until they use them up to activate prime directive to close that gap right back up. If you have tanks to go up against I recommend broken myth or shatter glass for sheer power. I can confirm solo kills for Krul, Phinn, and Lance using this method. Fun fact, Alphas infinite reboot cools down faster the more energy recharge you have, so if you want boots, use Halcyon chargers. Also if you want more life steal use eve of harvest to fix that right up. I have done entire blitz matches using just alternating current and aftershock so use what items you need to adapt. Here's the fun part, this is a dual pronged guide, as it can work for jungle and lane roles with very little difference. The only difference being you need to hide in the lane grass if you see a hero coming to egg that sneak attack.

Battle royal:
You spun the wheel and now you are stuck with Alpha, as some people who are bad as her may say, but fear not, for this guide can help you to play her quite well. Make sure to remember, you have less money and levels starting out, and there is no jungle. Level Alpha's A and B move twice, and buy both item to get aftershock. Hide in the side bushes ready to jump out finish off enemy heroes using prime directive and core charge, and avoid turrets. Yes you can destroy turrets fast but they can hurt you too, so avoid their lock on laser. Avoid direct confrontation with enemy heroes if you don't have infinite reboot ready to go, as getting aced in royal can hurt bad. After you get aftershock starting getting the items used to make alternating current, unless you survived long enough to get the gold to buy everything. After this figure out what you need and plan accordingly. One strategy I know works but I don't use involves using the echo after termination protocol to refill your infinite reboot again, essentially making it where people have to kill you three times for you to stay down. Very useful if you have to cover the captain spot for a few minutes while they respawn, or if you just want to annoy people with the indestructible robot stalking them, or if you have the broken doll skin you can make it even creepier stalking people. :)

Standard:
Ok standard is harder because you get less to start with. I recommend the first 3-5 minutes just in the jungle farming gold. Kill any heroes that cross your path but don't seek them out. Once again start towards aftershock so get crystal bit and hourglass then progress down the line until you get the item. Stay in the jungle after the five minute mark but feel free to pop out and sneak attack things. Once the gold miner spawns check on it whenever you don't know where an opponent is, as they may go for it. As standard is the longest and takes the most time to get in place I recommend no trying to go to fast. Alpha is very weak for the first 10 minutes but after that she becomes very powerful. When the kraken appears make sure that you have an ace as losing the kraken to a kill steal can end your game very easily. Make sure the kraken targets your captain or someone other than you as alpha can't talk much punishment from the beast. If you successfully get the kraken just follow behind it watching your foes fail at killing it, since you will be killing them to protect it, which you should do. If the enemy gets the kraken fall back behind your closest working turret and wait. Kill any enemy heroes before the kraken because they will be guarding it. Once they are done wrap up the kraken and go back to base and buy stuff if you need it. If the match lasts long enough for there to be a second kraken try to capture it, but if not try for an ace before leading an assault on the enemy. If all goes well you should come out on top. Level your moves like this. 1 core charge, then 3 prime directive. Unlock termination ASAP, then level core charge twice. Level termination once more and max out prime directive. For the final level i'll leave the choice up to you, as termination maxed out makes the blast bigger and has a lot more damage, whereas core charge maxed does much more damage. So depending on which move you use more I'll leave the choice to you, however max out prime directive as it boosts the range of the attack to almost double allowing you to target things on almost any part of the visible screen.

Ending tips. Use prime directive to chase fleeing enemies and to break cloaks. Don't use it in bushes as there may be more than one enemy hero waiting there.
If you are about to die activate termination and try to use prime directive to warp to a foe to explode next to. Using core charge drains a small portion of health (2.5%) but the basic attacks after heals you along with aftershock so that cancels out, so use core charge as often as you please. Avoid fast firing rate characters like SAW and Ringo, unless they are aiming at something else or in SAW's case if he has no charges of spin up, which you can tell as the bar under his health or by how fast or slow he is, slower meaning he is ready to shoot you really quickly.

I hope this guide helps you and if you are someone who doesn't care for alpha too much, I hope this guide encourages you to try her out, with a different playstyle than most. Thank you for your time in reading this guide, as I did spend an entire morning making it with careful planning and research.
