Shadows Empower Me
Krull gains a movement speed buff (+2 movement speed) after he stands completly still in a bush for 1.5 seconds. The next basic attack will slow the target by 40%. Use this to gank enemy laners aswell to engage in teamfights/gank junglers.

Dead Man's Rush
Upon activating this ability Krull wil das to the target (if in range) gaining a health barrier for 2.5 seconds. This applies all basic attack effects, this means that it can crit, applies Aftershock, applies Tension Bow,... This ability absorbs an average of 2-3 basic attacks. I suggest taking this ability at lvl 2 and overdrive it second.
Use it if the enemy is getting out of range (combine it with shiversteel) or to flee over a short distance.
It can be used thrue walls.

Spectral Smite
passive
Every basic attack of krull applies a stack to the target. Each stack gives : bonus lifesteal, 10% les attack speed and crystal power for the target.
active
when activated krull will do damage and be healed based on the amount of stacks applied.

Do not immediatly use this. Using Spectral smite smart is key for a good krull. If you activate the stacks without killing the enemy, he/she will get more attack speed and cp again. Try to use it only when you are sure to get the kill or badly need the hp, be aware that you will lose your lifesteal tho.
As off 1.10 krull can stack on bigger lane minions and all jungle monsters. when fighting a jungle boss and the enemy team is near use Spectral smite to get the last hit.
I recommend getting this ability at level 1 and overdriving it asap.

From Hell's Heart
Krulls ultimate. When tapping this ability once you will see a perimeter around Krull, this is the range of the sword. When tapping a second time the perimeter will disappear and you can move freely again without using the ability.
When the perimeter is up and you tap within the perimeter Krull will throw his sword in that direction, the sword works as a boomerang (wich means it will travel back if it didnt hit anything). The sword will deal damage to everything it passes and will stun+slow the first enemy hero it hits. The longer the sword travels the longer it stun and slow AND the more damage it deals.
Quoted:
Stun and slow duration is 50% at point blank range, 100% at max range and up to 150% at boomerang range.

Use it to finish of fleeing enemies or to stun an enemy thrue a wall when a teammate is being chased. Occasionally you can try to steal kraken with it.

Firts rotation Top

If you've played Krull you have definatly experienced his weak early game. If you follow these first rotation steps it will be a tiny bit better.

First buy

Buy a Swift Shooter and 1 potion to start. (If you buy 2 you will be 25 gold short after first rotation)

How to Jungle

First of all start by letting the support hit the 2 big minions but the support should then go to the heal minion while you drag the 2 big minions away from the support. In this way you will get all the XP giving you a level advantage and having both your A and B skill available.

I personally then complete the rotation in a normal way but you can choose to take all the xp giving in a bit more gold. (I think you'll be lvl 3 if you do the drag method with every minion.)

Second buy

At the shop you buy an Oakhearth and a Tier 1 defensive item depending on the enemy jungler
(eg: if the enemy jungler is weapon go Light Armor if the enemy jungler is cp or if the enemies jungler early dmg is mostly depending on his skills (like Krull) go Light Shield)

Some more tips

Normally you had just enough gold to do the first buy and you should be a little bit stronger then the enemy jungler. DO NOT GO AGRESSIVE! Lots of Krulls overextend, do not make this mistake.
What if the enemy team invades?
Then play it to your advantage: Try to certainly take the 2 big minions and the heal minion. Ping your laner to go down and play it defensive. If you have an oppurtunity to go to the enemy jungle and take their minions then do it. Your support (and laner)can keep them busy for a while.

Early game Top

Items

Try to aim for a Blazing Salvo and Sprint Boots in order to be able to get those stacks and deal damage with your Spectral Smite. Buy towards a Shiversteel and upgrade your tier 1 defenses according to your needs. If you get really bullied hard buy 2 tier 1 defenses of the same kind (eg if the enemy jungler is Glaive and he invades a lot, buying 2 times a Light Armor can help lots.
Buy a mine or 2 if the enemy team invades a lot of time and fight on top of those mines... they really hurt.

Jungling

If your laner is getting ganked go ahead and steal the enemies junglers farm to get an advantage... Not much you can do in lane anyways (Good communication with the laner is key for this).
If you get caught in the enemy jungle try still to last hit their minions.... sometimes its just worth it.
REMEMBER: Do not invade if you have no vision on the enemy. You're still Krull...

Mid Game Top

Items

Complete your Shiversteel and try to complete your Breaking Point around minute 10.
Upgrade to Travel Boots if needed and again, build up your defense according to your needs...
Buy a Reflex Block when needed.

Jungling

Try to gank the enemy laner every now and then using Shadows Empower Me, do not waste to much time sitting in the bush tho.
Steal as much farm as possible... If the enemy keeps on invadinig your jungle, go to theirs when they are in yours.
An important thing now is to not use your skills on minions, the cooldowns are pretty high and your mana is on the low side.
and again, Do not go to agressive.

Late game Top

Items

You should have completed a Shiversteel and a Breaking Point now. Upgrade your defensive items to the tier 3 items you need (I will make another chapter giving some tips on when to buy what). Buy Infusions before teamfights.

Jungling

If you followed this path and didnt overextend you should be killing it. Stick to your targets by engaging with Shadows Empower Me, when they try and flee use your Dead Mans Rush and Shiversteel (+boots).
Keeping your stacks, and so reduce their CP and attackk speed while boosting your lifesteal has to keep you alive. Only smite when you can finish a fleeing enemy off or if you're about to die.

Build diversity/late game build Top

IF you're tanky enough, its time to add some damage. The obvious choices are Bonesaw and Aftershock.
Go bonesaw if enemy has lots of armor, go for aftershock if they're healthy.

Lately i've been experimenting with adding some CP to my build. ONLY do this when you are clearly winning the game.

i've tried
Broken Myth
This makes for some more general CP, I prefer this when enemy has lots of shield.

Alternating Current
Some more power on your basic attacks. Use this one if the fights tend to take longer,eg versus a Krull.

Frostburn
Use this against kiters like Ringo or [[vox]; if you do it correctly you can first do a slow with your frostburn+ deads man rush, then walk ahead of him and start basic attacking. As soon as he's getting out of range again, Use your shiversteel.

Warhorn
this is a very good item for krull. You can farm way faster with it and the active allows Krull and his team to chase down fleeing enemies, flee from the enemy team or reposition fast.

More tips and tricks Top

Krull vs Krull

Versing another Krull shouldnt be too hard if you keep these tips in your head:
Atlas Pauldron

Dont use this immediatly in a krull vs krull fight. If you both have a breaking point keep a look at your stacks and when they have reached +-12 use the pauldron so he doesnt get his lifesteal and go all in.
The enemy Krull will most likely use it immediatly, you can counter your loss of attack speed by using Deads man's rush after he activates it. The barrier should take +-3 basic attacks.

Spectral Smite
Do not use this skill! You will lose your lifesteal, the enemy Krull will get his attack speed and Crystal power back.

Team fights

Try to pick of the enmey laner with your slows and help of your support and laner. then it should be easy to pick out krull.
If its one of those fights where both of the teams are going all in on the krull who are not dying and just getting stacks on each other i kite towards the enemy laner and go unexpectedly on him using my A and shiversteel, the amount of stacks should take him down in 3-4 basic attacks. then go back to the enemy Krull before your stacks on him wear off.

Bonesaw
Go for a bonesaw in late game (AFTER you bought breaking point, shiversteal and atlas pauldron).

Remember
Krull is all about good timing and experience. It is pretty hard to write a decent guide for when to use your skills etc as there is no set of rules. It is all about experience and develop a feeling for Krull. Ive been playing Breaking Point Krull for months now and think i can say i just know when to go and when not to...

Versus kiters

The most difficult thing is to kill heroes who can constantly slow you or walk faster then you (eg: skye, cp (with frostburn) or wp ringo , skaarf/celeste).
As soon as the fight turns into one of those 'im chasing him while hes kiting me and im doubting wether i should continue or not'-fights, just flee. He will kite you to dead. stick with your target using your slows and having a good support is very important here (cath for stuns, ardan for speed, adagio to slow them, fortress for speed).
Having vision is very important aswell so you can try and pick them off while they're , for example, going shopping without any teammates.

Help, they steal all my farm

If the enemy team knows how to counter you by stealing all your farm then dont worry, not all hope is lost!
  • Dont overextend, Dont go agressive... dont feed them more gold.
  • when they're in your jungle, go to theirs
  • Turtle the game. Go sit in lane a bit (maybe buy a contract). Take some of your jungle farm if its safe, try and steal their jungle farm... Just dont get aced and dont give them turrets. Let the levels even out and go for the core items!
  • your Support buys Stormguard Banner so farming is more safe and quick.
  • ...

Versus Catherine

Dont use your skills when her shield is up, if you have some stacks dont attack her at all... It will hurt more then it does dmg...
Her silence/stun is freaking annoying in Fights, you can try and block it but thats quite hard.

General tips

-Dont overextend. Sometimes you just gotta skip a fight...
-Dont go in with your A, go in with your perk.
-Timing is key, learn from your mistakes and Krull=experience

Comps Top

In this chapter I will give some insight on possible team compositions with Krull

Supports

cathering
Her stun makes for a very good combo with krull for obvious reasons. Both of them farm rather slow so ideally cahterine should buy into a warhorn or Contraption.
Both will let Krull farm way faster. With warhorn you'll get a movement speed buff to eiter flee, chase enemies or reposition. With contraption you'll get more vision items, Mines are a very effective way to deal some more damage when paired with Krull aswell as you can, of course, use them for general vision.

Catherine is in general a great support and a great combo with Krull.

Ardan
With his Vanguard Ardan gives you a movement speed buff to either flee when you're harassed to much in early game or chase the enemies down who are trying to get away. Vanguard also gives a handy Health barrier so you have some more sustain. If enemies are hit, they are slowed.
Blood for Blood makes ardan a semi quick farmer thrue the whole game. Combine BfB with a Shiversteel for a slow.
His ultimate Gauntlet creates a perimeter where enemies are trapped in (and stunned if they touch it). Very usefull to get some Breaking point stacks on Krull or to finish the fleeing enemies of.

Ardan gives Krull lots of buffs and can easily slow down the enemies. A great support to gain a territory advantage. He only lacks a real stun.

Adagio
If you want some early game power and a strong late game, go with adagio. His Gift of Fire provides you with a good amount of burts heal and some nice heal over time. Aswell as a very powerfull slow to the enemies who are close.
Agent of Wrath buffs your basic attacks, very good combination with krull.
I deem his Verse of Judgement less usefull to krull but if the stun goes off it's always good.
I think the real problem of having adagio as a support is that he's not very usefull to catch up on enemies (selling and rebuying boots as adagio is very handy to get those slows of!) who are already on a distance. But he's a savage when it comes buffing Krull in close combat fights.
Adagio also lets krull farm way faster.

Adagio is an overal good support, he can buff Krull very effectively but lacks some utility if both have taken a distance.

some info Top

This was my first guide i ever created and i was never really good at writing long textes,
So if you find any major mistakes (or just have questions) feel free to contact me in the comments!

Ive been playing Breakin Point Krull since June 2015 so i kinda developped a feeling for him. Writing a guide for him is kinda hard but i thought to give it a shot :)
