Threat Hero Notes
1
Celeste Very slow, easy to target in the lane. Catherine has to use skill shots also, so it is easy to avoid her attacks. See details for lane strategy
1
Kestrel Very slow, easy to target in the lane. Kestrelhas to use skill shots also, so it is easy to avoid her attacks. See details for lane strategy
2
Skaarf Higher speed character, so it can be harder to hit Skaarf with your forward barrage. However, Skaarf is also a skill shot character, so strafing these attacks is also easy.
3
Adagio Low speed, easy target in the lane. High damage, especially if you get the fire, but unless his attack speed is up, you should be okay. You should have enough range to avoid his ulitmate, in most cases.
4
Ringo Slow, so easy to target in the lane. However, he can go head to head with you at times, especially late game. Be careful to make sure you are ahead in the fight, but if you can get him with your forward barrage, you will win.
4
SAW VERY easy to target. However, he has the range on the basic attacks, so be careful not to attack when he has has his stacks up. Early game, he is tougher to kill. Late game, you can mow him down VERY quickly however.
4
Catherine Obviously, watch out for the stun. But this is one of the easiest tanks to play against with this build because it will absolutely DESTROY her shields.
5
  No Threat
6
Vox Vox is one of the tougher characters to kill, because he jumps around so much and can be tough to lock down with Forward Barrage. if he is around, I like to get a Frostburn
7
  No Threat
8
Ardan Watch out for Ring of Fire. If you play against a good Arden, it would be a good idea to get Crucible to be able to hop out of his Ring without getting stunned.
8
Krul I have had games where I absolutely destroy Krul, but be VERY careful for his ultimate. Same with Arden, if you keep getting stunned, get a Crucible
8
Koshka Very fast, hard to get with Forward Barrage. She can get on top of us quickly as well. Keep your distance, especially early game. If you have a hard time killing her, get Frostburn with your last slot
8
Taka If Take decides to Target you at the beginning, it can be hard to get going. Every now and then I play against a Take that absolutely wrecks me, but if this is the case, it is a good idea to build defense and boots early to get away from him. If he doesn't target you, he is also tough to kill due to his speed and invincibility.

Abilities Overview Top

Ability A - Forward Barrage

The bread and butter of all Skye builds. I like to maximize burst damage, armor pierce, and shield shredding abilities to kill the tanks easily.

Ability B - Suri Strike

Unlike most people, I like to Overdrive Suri Strike, as opposed to Death From Above. Reason being, the Target Lock distance increases SIGNIFICANTLY, which makes it much easier to chase foes for long periods of time. It also deals more damage, and we can still use Death from Above to block and stun enemies effectively.

If you have the correct combo of items, both your abilities and basic attacks should deal significant damage, so this will keep you in range to be able to deal both.

Ability C - Death From Above

The timing on this one can be difficult to hit the target with the direct hit option, so I prefer to use this primarily for blocking the enemy. The best times to use it for direct hits are on Krull when he is fighting one on one with a teammate, or when Saw has his stacks built up - otherwise it is best to save it for blocking the enemy. This can be used effectively to:

1. Gain Ground on a fleeing enemy - Use it to prevent an enemy from running away, which can allow you and teammates to close in for the kill.

2. Block the Enemy from Killing Yourself or a Dying Teammate - If you are running away from an enemy, target the Death from Above wall in the direction you are running, or AWAY from the enemy chasing you. You will be able to run through the wall, and it will stun them, allowing you to get away.

Overall Philosophy of the Build Top

Why Hybrid?

From the minute Skye has come out, I have absolutely fallen in love with her gameplay. I think she requires just the right amount of skill and finesse to make the game incredibly fun! No offense to Saw players, but I would much rather dance around someone for the kill rather than staying in one spot!

As we all know, Skye can deliver some POWERFUL kill shots with her Crystal Power, but sometimes it can be hard to lock down some of the speedier characters, and if you run out of energy her basic shots are virtually worthless. CP Skye can also be difficult to last hit early game, without burning your energy on Forward Barrage. On the flip side, her basic attacks can be absolutely deadly, but we lose some of the effectiveness on all of her abilities. This build brings out all of her perks, and makes her absolutely deadly from beginning to end!

Early Game Build - Rush Tension Bow

I can't stress the importance of Rushing Tension bow. It will give every 6th shot on your Forward Barrage extra piercing power, and gives you enough power to rack up last hits. Look at below Chapter on Game Play tips on how to rack up kills early game in the lane.

After Tension bow, get some Boots, as well as a Blazing Salvo.

I purposefully like to rush ALL of my red items at the beginning, so the other team will start to build armor. Little do they know we are about to go HEAVY on the crystal! MUAHAHAHAHA

Mid Game Build - UNLEASH THE CP!

My next item to get is the Broken Myth. Once we have this, we now have the two best shield piercing and armor shredding items, which combined with the Forward Barrage, are unstoppable even if they build armor and shield.

Next, we complete the attach speed perk by rounding out the core attack build with the Alternating Current. I don't like to get this until we have the Broken Myth, however, because it will be very weak as the only CP item.

Think about the attack power we have now! Every other shot from basic attacks AND Forward Barrage will be CP, every 6th shot will be a burst WP shot PLUS CP!

Lastly, for the core, it is crucial to build a Fountain of Renewal. This will help you recuperate health in between fights, and can help keep you and your teammates alive in the late game battles, which can turn the tide of a match. Not to mention, you get some extra Shield, which is nice.

Gameplay Tips Top

Early Game Kills in the Lane

You should always aim to get at least one kill early game in the lane, especially against Saw, Celeste, Kestel, Ringo, or Adagio.

After you have hit your target twice, and you are at a max movement most, move toward an angle that you can get a clean Forward Barrage shot at your enemy. The speed should throw them off, and you should be able to do quite a bit of damage. With target lock on, you can kill some of the weaker heroes in one shot.

Avoid Skill Shots from enemy Laners

Use your movement boost to dart side to side. Don't go backwards, because you lose the most, but jump around (in a circular motion) between every two shots to be very hard to hit. This works best with Kestrel, Skaarf, and Celeste.

Combo Attacks

My favorite Combo is Forward Barrage -> Death from Above -> Suri Strike (Best to use this while enemy is stunned, to maximize damage) -> Forward Barrage

Death from Above BEFORE Suri Strike in most cases
