I love your guide so much! The sheer amount of detail, organization and videos help users further understand this misunderstood hero. Just one thing: Saw is squishy and cute early game? Haha I have a hard time buying that (unless you are Joule or Glaive) and I've seen saw players are usually aggressive in low ELOs and defensive (not crossing dividing line in lane) in high ELOs, but other than that I really enjoy this guide XD. I have also found Lyra to be (probably) better than Ardan for roaming with Krul based on my experience. Lyra has a kit that makes up for Reim's and Krul's disadvantages. Her slow is wonderful to have, bulwark keeps them in, the sigil helps him beat the other Krul 1 vs 1 and her passage helps for great getaways and invasions. Good luck in the fold!

Sorrowblade is of course totally acceptable! I like Serpent's because of the convenient build path, the low cost and the extra lifesteal!

this was good for me!
not dying was fun!
but Atlas Pauldron effect on krul is really unfair, they really should decrease it!
I know krul was really powerful when they first release him but they shouldn't be so hard on him.
with 2 atlas there is nothing he can do anymore!
I wish someone would listen to us!

Yeah I agree Atlas is a real pain! Practice reflex-blocking it; if you master this you'll be an even more amazing Krul than you already are! :) Remember Atlas is pretty much the only tool for players to counter attack speed heroes, so it's not all too unfair in my opinion!

I know but it's effect on Krul is too much!
and cool down of Atlas is much faster than Reflex Block!
I try my hardest but once 2 enemy member bought Atlas and all I could do was watching Krul death!
thanks alot

This is a really good guide. Inspired me to make one. But one question, what do you think about having a bp for the sm instead when going wp and if your laner isnt one that needs a huge meatwall like a joule, what build do you go. Will you consider swapping a def item for a wp item or will it almost always be this build.

Happy that you appreciated the guide! I wouldn't go for BP unless you're planning to build at least two more WP items. If your laner can handle themselves I do recommend trying to go for more damage, yes :) But then again, if you have a laner like Joule you can also consider picking something else than Krul in the jungle!

This is one of the best builds for Krul IMO. But, wouldn't it be nice if we replaced Serpent Mask with something like a Breaking Point or SB? But the build is good on its own. Can't wait to try it out ;)

Thanks man! Sorrowblade and BP are both good items as well, but Serpent's mask offer Krul the best versatility in my experience.

I read through the guide and it is very detailed and well made, one question I have is why build a serpents mask instead of say a sorrowblade on krul? He already has a potential 96% lifesteal and 25% added is not really useful, while the sorrowblade will make krul much more influential in fights.

Serpent's mask is cheaper than Sorrowblade and the barbed needle which builds into Serpent's helps Krul a lot until he's finished a Serpent's!

Best hero guide I've ever read. I've always tried to play weapon carry krul, but this has lead to much better team fight outcomes. The utility this build allows let's him be a true tank and can 1v2 for extended periods of time until late game. Krul is once again my main.

I'm also curious about why you chose clockwork instead of aftershock. Would you recommend aftershock if playing enemies who have built health?

Hey man, thanks a lot! Yeah I agree, Krul really needs to be tanky or your enemies can focus you down way too easy. In the clock vs. aftershock (AS) matter, I mainly choose clock if I'm doing the standard build. This has a variety of different reasons: Clock offers higher CDR than AS and also higher energy regen. Clock offers no extra damage, but this is not really a problem because Krul's role in late game is not to deal damage (you won't have AS before late game anyways); he's there to protect his laner and weaken his enemies, and with clock this gets easier. Another thing about Krul is that he won't earn as much gold as other heroes because of his slow farming. Clock is way cheaper than AS, which lets you take advantage of the item faster than if you were building AS. Also, the tier2 item Eclipse Prism that builds into AS is not really helping Krul out. The clock tier2 items all give Krul something he needs!

For signature build does the extra cool down decrease of the clockwork have greater benefit than the added damage an aftershock would have? Just curious as to the reason behind one vs the other.

Hey! I already made an answer to that question in the comment above, so I'll copy-paste it here as well.
