Threat Hero Notes
1
Petal Use your flame to burn her pets and seeds. When she uses Spontaneous Combustion, use your flame to slow down the pets and run away.
2
  No Threat
3
Ringo Not so deadly at the beginning for sure. You can get near him and fire at him if you want. Don't forget to use you flame to slow him. Could be dangerous when he is equipped with a lot of weapon items
3
Joule Lower range, can't chase you super fast like Take or Koshka. Yes, she can stun you using Rocket Leap, but you can dodge it.
4
Adagio Not a big threat, unless you are on fire. All you need is a Eve Of Harvest to defence his crystal damage.
5
Koshka Her ability is as powerful as Taka's. Her Yummy Catnip Frenzy can stun you and stop your Verse Of Judgement. After that, you can chase her if you want, she can't hide like Taka.
6
Taka His ability is deadly, and he can use Kaku to get near you unnoticeable. If he did kill you successfully using his abilities, than use your flame to slow him and run.
7
Catherine She can use her ability to stop your Verse Of Judgement, and she can stun you when you are retreating. Her shield can block your Verse Of Judgement, and some turret fire to kill you near the turret.
8
  No Threat
9
Skaarf His fire is really powerful. Sometimes, his fire can have more damage than the heal of your Gift Of Fire. Extremely dangerous as the beginning of the game.
9
SAW Saw is powerful because of his high attacking speed. But their moving speed is low, so keep a distance, and you will be safe.
10
Glaive Big threat. He can Afterburn to get you out of the same zone near the turret and stuns you. Afterburn also can stop your Verse Of Judgement. His attack is powerful, so don't get near him.
10
Krul Can rush near you and slow you down. His From Hell's Heart can stun your Verse Of Judgement. He can gain health during battle and slow the enemy attacking speed.

Defence at the lane Top

Please don't go to the jungle at the beginning of the game. In Vainglory, only Adagio, SAW, and Skaarf have the ability to kill numerous minions at the same time. If the turret is surrounded by enemy minions, you can use Gift of Fire to heal the ally minion that is close to the enemy minion, which can burn the minions with you flame (works better if you have a lot of crystal items).

At the beginning of the game, go to the lane and wait until all minions are in the middle of the field, and then heal the minion that is closest to the enemy. Your flame can durn the enemy for you. Further more, by attacking the minion that is already on fire can gain some energy for you. Don't heal the minion if there's only 1 or 2 enemy minion left, you are just wasting energy. By doing so you should always have some energy left in the early game. After the first 5 mins, you should be out of energy. Right now, you need to call your allies (at least one)on the lane, and stay near the turret to kill all enemy near it. By doing so, enemy team will not be able to attack the turret when you are gone.

When the enemy hero is present, DO NOT go near the enemy minion and then heal yourself. Yes, you can heal yourself and burn the enemy at the same time, but the damage you take from the enemy hero may be greater than the heal you give yourself, even get yourself killed. If the enemy hero is around the ally minions, use your fire to burn him/her. It is really annoying for the enemy, and good for you. Don't under estimate the power of your flame. It may help you kill the enemy even the enemy is in the same zone behind the turret; it may also force the enemy go back to base because of the low health (you may not be able to kill him/her, but less enemy = less stress), or force the enemy to use up Halcyon Potions.

When enemies are attacking your turret, don't get too far from the turret. Use your flame to kill all enemy minions if no short range enemy is attacking you. If enemies have the guts to attack you, use your flame to slow the short range enemy, and attack him/her, and the turret will help. If the long range enemy is attacking you, get beside the turret so the enemy will be in the range of the turret and you are still out of reach. Walk around the turret is another solution if a short range enemy is chasing you.

If the enemy ignores you and attack the turret, use everything you have to attack the enemy until the enemy stops attacking the turret. If the enemy is more than two, and the turret's health is less than 20%, sorry, the enemies are too smart, you have to abandon the turret.

Attack the turret Top

Turret are the most important object in Vainglory. A team with double more death can still win the game if the enemy don't focus on the turrets. Defence the turret is Adagio's most important job, even he has to give up his allies.

Now is the attacking part.

The best time to attack the enemy turret is when the enemy heroes are not present or distracted by allies. This is the best time to take out the enemy turret, so don't go to your allies. First use your Gift of Fire to burn the enemy turret, then use Agent of Wrath on yourself(unless a weapon ally is around). Agent of Wrath can increase the damage of your basic attacks. Agent of Wrath can also deal more damage on targets that are on fire. So light the Turret up and attack it. Level 6 or up adagio can use Verse of Judgement after the flame. It only takes less than 30 seconds to destroy the enemy turret.

When an ally is around, you can use Agent of Wrath on him/her. If the ally's level is greater than you, using Agent of Wrath on the ally is a better idea, because she/he has more powerful basic attacks. If the ally has some weapon items, use Agent of Wrath on the ally. If the ally's level is lower or the same as you, and she/he doesn't have any weapon items, use Agent of Wrath on yourself. Because Agent of Wrath can deal more damage if you use it on yourself.

If one of the enemy hero is around the turret, and enemy Krul or Glaive is not around, you can attack the turret and ignore the enemy. DO NOT attack the enemy when attacking the turret. When you use Gift of Fire, make sure that the enemy hero won't be on fire too, or the turret will attack you when you are near it. If there is only one enemy around the turret, and your team have three, take out the enemy, get away from the turret and go back again. Don't forget to heal the ally that is attacked by the turret. If the enemy is attacking you, and she/he is not so powerful, you can ignore him/her, until you have only half health left. If the enemy is a long range enemy you can heal your self to have more time attacking the turret. If the enemy is a short range enemy, just step back and attack the enemy out of the kill zone.

When using Verse of Judgement, if an enemy is around the turret and she/he doesn't have the ability to stun you, go ahead and do it. The enemy will run, because he/she doesn't want to get near you and take the damage of Verse of Judgement.

Supporter Top

At the beginning of the game, before you have Void Battery, don't heal yourself and your ally so often. I know it sounds selfish, but you will out of energy. Without energy, you have to go back to base, and leave on one to protect the turret. You can heal the ally when ally is near the enemy, taking fire from the enemy, or have only 30% health left. If you still have more than 80% health and your ally have less than 30%, you can ask him/her to go back to base. At the beginning of the game, Adagio alone with its fire can protect turret even under the attack of all three enemies. All Adagio needs to do is to protect himself, burn enemy minions, and stay near the turret. Don't heal yourself so often, because Adagio can gain health slowly over time. It may be slow, but it's free. Plus you have four Halcyon Potions with you, and they don't cost energy. Usually, you only need 2 max at the beginning of the game. Burn the enemy minions and stay on the lane as long as you can, you should have 1000-2000 when you have to go back to base.

Once you have Void Battery, you can heal anyone whenever you want. Void Battery can recharge your energy really faster. Without Clockwork, you will never out of energy. After you have Heavy Prism, Void Battery, and Chronograph, and the enemy team has no dangerous crystal hero, you should behaving money to buy a Shatterglass. I know, it's expensive, but it can increase the power of your ability dramatically. After purchased it, your Verse of Judgement can make the enemy lost 50% health(without shield). Your Gift of Fire can cancel the damage of enemy turret. Yes, turrets are no longer a threat to your team if you are around. Agent of Wrath can give you up to 189.75 more damage per attack. P.S. don't rush to up grade your Void Battery to Eve of Harvest or Frostburn. Unless the enemy team have powerful crystal hero. Because upgrading Void Battery to Eve of Harvest and Frostburn doesn't give you faster energy recharge.

When retreating, you can use Gift of Fire on the ally that has the lowest health, or you can use it on the ally near the enemy, so that the flame can slow down the enemy and buy all of you more time. This is not a good idea if enemy team have Taka or Koshka behind you.

When attacking, heal the ally that is near the enemy and is talking damage. Use Agent of Wrath on the ally that have the most powerful basic attacks.

When Chasing, Heal the ally (including minion and Petal's pet) that is near the enemy, your flame should be able to slow the enemy hero, if you don't have a good boot, use Agent of Wrath on Taka or Koshka might be a better idea.

The kraken Top

The Kraken is the most powerful minion (giant minion) in Vain glory. But your team does't have to capture it to win the game.

First, before 15:00, when the Kraken shows up, plant a Scout Trap behind the gold mine. If the enemy is attacking the kraken, you will see from the top right corner.

Second when the enemy is attacking the Kraken, get to the brush beside the Kraken, make sure that the enemy don't know your are there. use Verse of Judgement when the Kraken have 20% health left. Verse of Judgement should be able to deal 15-20% health damage to the Kraken, but don't forget, it takes a few second for Verse of Judgement to act. And then, your team got the Kraken

When the enemy got the last hit, you need to get to the first turret immediately. Use everything you have to heal ally and attack the Kraken. don't chase the enemy, unless the enemy is attacking the turret, too. don't forget to get behind or beside the turret, so that the enemy won't kill you easily. Run to the next turret is the the first turret have less than 10% health.

Before attacking the turret, make sure that all enemy heroes are dead. If not, you have to locate the last enemy. You can send one ally to fight the enemy or send two long rang allies to stay in the brushes beside the Kraken. Third option is to attract the Kraken to one side of the jungle, so that the enemy hiding in the brush on the other side can't see the health of the Kraken.

When attacking, you should be the first one to open fire (unless your team have Krul), so that the Kraken will attack you. The reason to do so is you can gain more health if you use Gift of Fire on yourself than others.

When the Kraken is attacking the enemy turret, you can heal it and attack he turret with it. If the enemy is attacking the Kraken, you need to keep a distance from the enemy turret, heal the Kraken, or you ally, and attack the enemy on the outer side to avoid turret fire.

Allies Top

Catherine can activate her shield to block attacks. When Catherine get in the middle of enemy team, your job is to heal her, and burn enemy with your flame, also you can stay behind her and provide some covering fire.
Petal's seeds can provide some heal for allies. If you are hurt don't use your Gift of Fire immediately, you can try to stand beside her seeds. Also when pursing enemy, Petal will send her pets out. Her pets move a lot faster than any one, so use your flame on her pets to slow the enemy.
It would be a nightmare if Glaive is on the enemy side, but it's good to be on your side. Weapon Glaive is powerful, and can attack all enemy around him at the same time. It's a good idea to heal him and give him Agent of Wrath. If Glaive uses Afterburn and get an enemy near you, don't loose the chance and slow him with your flame.
Joule loves to jump in to the middle of enemies, so take the chance and heal him and burn the enemies. Don't forget to bring her out alive
She likes to pursing enemy, so give her a push and slow the enemy with your flame.
Krul has the ability to heal himself during the battle, and he is powerful, so help him to stay alive. Also krill's basic attacks are powerful, so give him a push with Agent of Wrath.
Ringo is a long range hero like Adagio, he can slow down the enemy, too. If the Ringo have a lot of weapon item, it would be a good idea to use Agent of Wrath.
SAW is a powerful ally. When he uses Suppressing Fire on minions, don't forget to life the minions on fire, it's free energy. When attacking and denouncing, it's much more effective to use Agent of Wrath on him than other due to his high attacking speed. When Saw attacks, his moving speed decreases, so keep healing him, and slow the enemy when he have to pull out.
Skaarf's ability Dragon Breath can deal a lot of damage, but meanwhile he can't use any items. So you need to heal him to keep him alive. Also Skaarf's fire on enemy can be refresh by Skaarf's basic attacks, so you need to help him slow down the enemy.
Taka is an assassin. Weapon Taka likes to get near the enemy and is always considered as the greatest threat by the enemies. When Taka reveals himself in the middle of enemies, the enemies is most likely to attack him at the same time, you need to heal Taka to buy him more time, also provide some fire support.
