In this build you will find a guide to kestrel on how i play her.
PS: sorry if the next chapter is annoying to read, i just couldn't resist it
I used to play weapon power (like many others) simply because it seemed to be the only way to make glimmershot effective, until i discovered that alternating current would actually empower it if I built crystal items. by doing this I discovered I could trap people with active camo, and that it would do, like half their HP, do immense damage with one shot. one kill., do very good damage with my glimmershot, and (my favorite) stay invisible for as long as I wanted. I had created the ultimate assassin.
and so arose Nightmare Kestrel.........
The shatterglass is used purely to significantly empower both her abilities and basic attacks (Because we have Alternating Current). It also significantly increases the damage from active camo, which gives her an assassin spin.
The Alternating current is the best item in this build. I use it mainly to make glimmershot better, and to get more attack speed.
I use the sorrowblade so that I can use active camo in team fights and to empower glimmershot even more because a shatterglass will come through the alternating current and so it will only give + 105 damage to glimmershot, while a sorrowblade will give + 187.5
The contraption is a massively underrated item. IT REDUCES COOLDOWN AS MUCH AS A CLOCKWORK. it also works extremely well with your active camo traps, because you can use this item to place down a scout trap and then leave your active camo mist on top of the scout trap, so that when someone walks over your mist, you can stun them, the scout trap will explode on them and then you fire a few glimmershots at them while they are stunned. this combo will very quickly kill a single enemy. i hope you are starting to realize the potential for kestrel as an assassin (if you haven't already) another thing about the contraption is that it gives you + 350 health. this is why i choose the contraption instead of a defense item, however if you think that you should use something more like an aegis, than consider that of all the heroes, an assassin kestrel would need a defense the least, due to her ability to stay invisible. Also the contraption gives more health than the aegis (but less Shield).
I felt as if I owed all of that to the contraption because it is such a great item if you just want to save space.
I use this item because kestrel is extremely energy dependent and because it reduces cooldown. you can swap this out for war treads if you are getting beaten up.
I would really appreciate comments, just so that I know that people are actually reading and considering this.
