Threat Hero Notes
1
Skaarf Mr. Squishy here should be the first one to gank early game. I cannot stress how squishy this "dragon" is.
2
Joule Joule has a really fast cool down for her lightning attack so dance around her until you lure her toward the bush next to the turret and then afterburn. Your crit damage and speed should kill her. If she uses ult, afterburn away and then stun.
3
  No Threat
4
Adagio His basic attack does decent damage so avoid him early game but don't let the game pull on because he only gets stronger as the game goes. Team gank him mid game to increase his respawn time. To avoid his ult, afterburn toward him to stun or if you're too late, afterburn backwards.
5
Catherine Catherine should be easy to deal with but NEVER afterburn if she has her shield on. Pro players keep their shield on almost always.

  No Threat
7
Taka This guy is a beast in the jungle. If he is even decently good, get away from him. This is like Krul 2.0 but in a lesser version. Gank him early game w/ teammates to increase respawn time which means more time for you to clean out their jungle.

Krul Almost NEVER EVER 1v1 him. He is designed to counter Glaive. If he has lifesteal items, all the more to avoid him.

Overview of Items Top

This build is designed to attack and kill enemies quickly but also sustain him if the battle goes bad. This build is also useful for 1v2 or 1v3 ganks. The Tornado Trigger will boost attack speed while the Shiversteel slows them down to help you chop down the enemy. The Tyrant's Monocle will help with the crit damage that is crucial to having a good Glaive build. (Besides, your Twisted Stroke does crit damage so this boosts that). You do not need to get journey boots for Glaive. Instead, get to travel and spend money on getting items like Tyrant's Monocle.

*For players who like to do a lot of 1v1, I suggest you leave out the Oakheart and instead get Sorrowblade. This will help in damage boost.*

*Also, near endgame, if your team is winning and the enemy has 1-2 turrets left, then you can replace the journey boots with a Sorrowblade or a Tyrant's Monocle. This will help you chop down the enemy near the end which is crucial. If you are a tank or will stay in the battle longer, try getting a Serpent Mask. The Serpent Mask is also useful when taking down the kraken. Be the tank and because you have lifesteal, you should be able to hang in there while your friends take on the kraken. Lure the kraken toward your side of the forest giving less chance of a kraken steal.

Item Activation Top

When activating Shiversteel, Afterburn in front of them and hit the enemy toward your turret/allies. Then activate Shiversteel and slow the enemy. This will give your team more time to cut down the enemy. Pairs well with Joule's ultimate, Skarf's Ultimate, Krul, Ringo's Ultimate, Adagio's Ultimate, and SAW. (These guys have rapid attack or their ultimate does a **** ton damage when the guy can't run away.

Boots, obviously, use them to run away or speed toward an enemy.

Tips Top

1. Don't ever ever 1v1 Krul unless he sucks and you've got a chance. (Better to go with a teammate)
2. Use your Afterburn wisely. Do not propel yourself into the opponent and put yourself into a 1v3 situation.
3. Afterburn can go through [some] walls. Use it to your advantage to initiate gank or to run away.
4. When using ult, I know it has a really low cool down but that does not mean use it whenever you get the chance. You have to stack to be effective.
5. Gank, Gank, Gank. You are a beast with a axe. You initiate the fight and bring them to 1/3 health with your cleave and ult. Let your teammates chop the rest down.
6. I don't know if I mentioned this earlier but DO NOT AFTERBURN A Catherine THAT HAS HER SHIELD ON!!!!! She will stun you and if the rest of the team is hiding, you have a 2% chance of survival.

That's it! Have fun and please feel free to leave a comment. Critiques are appreciated! BTW this is my first build guide!

If you found this helpful, please leave a thumbs up!
