Petal Though Petal is ranged, she is still a great teamate for Ringo because of her heal. You can slow enemies and let Petal devour them.
1
  No Threat
2
Ardan Ardan works great with Ringo. His vanguard can get him out of tricky situations, and he is also able to absorb up tons of damage.
2
Lyra Her bright bulwark stops enemies from getting to close to Ringo, and shuts down many abilities. A heal is also Nice.
3
Adagio A heal and a damage boost. Sounds great to me!
3
Glaive Glaive can keep sticky heroes like Krul away from Ringo.
4
Krul Ringo can slow enemies, which helps Krul stick to his target. Krul can also tank well.
4
Taka Taka and Ringo haven't got any disadvantages when playing together, and their combined damage output can be huge.
4
Reim Just like Krul, only a bit slower.
5
Baron Though they are both laners, Baron and Ringo can be great together when played correctly.
5
Catherine Cath can soak up damage, disrupt enemy abilities and lock down targets.
5
Fortress Yay, let's hunt!
6
Rona Not the best, but far from the Worst team comp.
7

9
SAW Ringo and SAW is usally not a good combo. Either of them can play anywhere else than lane. Yeah, I know jungle Ringo is somewhat viable, but he works best in lane. Saw's and Ringo's abilities don't synergise well anyway.

Introduction Top

Hi, my name is Rhinocharge. When i started playing vainglory, Ringo was the first character i played. He has ever since remained my favourite hero in the game. Ringo is one of the easiest characters to use for new players. Just because i made a guide, doesn't mean i'm good or something. This is just some basic stuff that I have learned. Note that I change stuff on this guide all the time so it might get a little bit confusing.

About Ringo Top

Ringo is a ranged character with a huge damage potenial in the later phases of the game. However, is early game isn't that good and his defence is naturally low. His mobility is okay, but not the best. Therefore he relies a lot on positioning.

In the early game, Ringo players should mostly stay in the lane and last hit. But if your allies are in trouble you should always help them (Unless they are as good as dead and there is no hope). When you get a Breaking Point (or a Shatterglass if you are gong crystal)you can start to play a little bit more aggressive, though you should stay with your team more as the game goes toward the later stages.

Abilities Top

Double Down
Slot: Heroic Perk

Ringo's next basic attack after killing anything will be a critical strike.
Critical strikes deals 150% of the damage done by a normal basic attack. You can use this to poke the enemy laner after killing a minion.

Achilles Shot
Slot: A

Ringo fires a trick shot at his target's heel (or whatever lower extremity exists), slowing the target & dealing damage.

Achilles Shot is Ringo's first ability. It deals damage and slows the enemy that is hit. When building Crystal I use It both a damage dealer and a slow. When building Weapon I don't spam it
as much and only use it to slow people.

Twirling Silver
Slot: B

Ringo slings bullets at his target in a mad flurry, dramatically increasing his attack speed and move speed for a duration.
  • Activating this ability resets Ringo's basic-attack cooldown.

I believe that Twirling Silver is one of the most underrated abilities in the game. Not only do you get attack speed, but also gives you a small amount of move speed that can be crucial in some situations. It works well together with Energy Battery and Void Battery because it gives you the ability to constantly spam it while still having plenty of energy left for Achilles Shot .

Hellfire Brew
Slot: C

Ringo takes a long swig from his gourd, then spits out a scorching fireball at his target. The explosion deals splash damage on impact and sets the target on fire, burning it & nearby enemies for 4s.
  • The fire pierces all shield on impact.

This ability is pretty overpowered when used correctly. Once you have activated it, the target will have no place to hide. However, do not use Hellfire Brew in the middle of a teamfight. Either you or the target will be dead before you have breathed out the fireball. Hellfire Brew should only be used for initiating and finishing off enemies. I always max it because of the insane damage it deals, but some people prefer to take both overdrives instead.

The builds Top

THE DRUNK GUNSLINGER

THE DRUNK GUNSLINGER is a Weapon build made to get a lot of Breaking Point stacks fast. Even though Breaking Point is the most important item in this build, it is useless without heavy damage items such as Sorrowblade and Tornado Trigger. The Halcyon Chargers gives you enough energy to spam Twirling Silver , which can give you up to +90% attack speed. You get 1 Breaking Point stack per 125 damage dealt (5+ per stack). A Sorrowblade combined with Tornado Trigger and Twirling Silver will get you stacks insanely fast.

Crystal crazy

Crystal crazy is th build where Twirling Silver really shines. The Alternating Current would actually be useless if it wasn't for Twirling Silver. As soon as you activate it, the damage instantly increases a lot. However, you should still stick with your allies and play it safe. The Broken Myth will give you quite a lot of damage during teamfights. The slow from Achilles Shot is much stronger than with wp, and also deals a lot of burst damage.CTRL+ALT+ Hellfire Brew to remove squishy enemies. Though Twirling Silver is important, I believe that you will be better off by maxing Achilles Shot and Hellfire Brew.

Alternative builds

These builds are an option if you didn't like my main builds. I have made some of them myself, and some are just very common and seen on many other guides. So don't accuse me of stealing your wp Ringo build if I can find it everywhere on the site. If there is a very unique build I will credit the player who made it popular. Both of the "classic builds" are a great option for new players who don't know excactly what to pick.

Laning tips/Glossary Top

-Kiting- Attacking enemies while keeping a safe distance. The most important skill for snipers.
-Pushing- Constantly auto attacking lane minions. Pushing is useful when you want to take down a turret, but should not be done often in the early game.
-Ganking- Also known as ambushing. This is why you should be careful when pushing.
-last hitting- Getting kills on minions by only attacking when their health bar Glows bright. Often a better alternative than pushing.
- Freezing- keeping the lane minions away from both turrets, making it safer to farm.
- Pulling- Poking the enemy laner to make the minions move towards you. This can be used to get a safer farming position, but can lead to your turret stealing your farm if used too much.

More tips Top

- Be sure to buy Scout Trapand Flare when up against assasins such as Taka or Koshka. Vision is the key to not getting ganked. Preferably get your captain to build a Contraption
- One of the most important skills a [Ringo player needs to have, is positioning. Ringo is very squishy, so you need to careful where you position yourself.
- If you are up against heroes with shorter range than you, like Vox try to be a bit of a bully. On the other hand, be careful when up against strong early game heroes.
-Aim to take down the most fragile hero on the enemy team first.
- Hellfire Brew will reveal and follow any hero even when they turn invisible. Use this to your advantage against Taka and Kestrel. ( don't bother with Flicker because he is a support hero).
-Use Minion Candy when pushing the turret with your team.
- Never egage first in a teamfight. You are fragile and will die if you don't stay behind your teammates.

Building Top

As you may have noticed, my item builds didn't have a very good explanation. I normally Buy the damage items in the order shown while building boots, energy and defence when needed. It is important to buy Halcyon Potions early in the game. They are super cheap, and can save your life as well as helping you sustain against early game heroes such as SAW and Adagio. Both builds can be experimented with to adapt to different situations as well as your playstyle.

Last word Top

Thanks a lot for reading my guide. This my first so far, so please leave feedback in the comments, and if you liked it, please consider leaving an upvote. BYE

P.S I am considering creating a guide for either Glaive, Fortress or Petal, so look out for another guide by me in the future.
