Overview Top

Hello all,

I noticed all the builds for Koshka are very similar so I thought I'd add my build to mix things up a bit.

This build drastically differs from others currently available in that it's focused on exploiting (what I think is) unbalanced items. :)

In order, I believe the following items are the most unbalanced in the game. The first 2 are obvious.

1. Halcyon Potion - Too cost effective
2. Journey Boots - If every single hero uses it in every single build something's unbalanced.
3. Fountain of Renewal - Incredible passive defense bonuses with an incredible active ability that can be stacked :)

In addition to these I believe armor / shield based items are far more effective than damage based items in Vainglory. Fortunately for me, it's human nature to attack versus defend. Most people fail to recognize this and create heavy offensive builds.

Feel free to test this out for yourself. You'll notice the build I propose makes you very difficult to kill. Coupled with her speed, you should have no problems surviving in the late game. Fortunately, Koshka's natural offensive strength will be enough to take out your opponents (unless you're running up against someone with a similar build).

Thou must Counter Top

The core of this build is unique in that it expects you to take advantage of a valuable resource in the game. The score screen. Here you can see EXACTLY what items your opponent has purchased. This makes things very unfair if you can properly build around this dynamic.

Allow me to explain further. In early / mid game you can get away with building up your character in a similar fashion. However, once you reach level 9/10, the enemy will have generally committed to either a crystal heavy build or a weapon heavy build. Here is where you want to take 10 seconds out of your game play and determine which you'd like to hard counter.

In a perfect world, your three opponent will all be weapon heavy based (or crystal based). In this scenario, if you follow the associated item build above, you'll be nearly invincible to these poor guys. While you still do decent damage, it almost doesn't matter since you'll likely be able to absorb damage coming from all three of them.

The items above were optimized depending on the which way the opponent goes offensively. Without going into a long winded explanation on the reasoning, just keep in mind one simple principle. Fountain of Renewal gives significant shield defense and half that much armor defense. Thus, when you're countering crystal builds, you can get away with having 3 of these bad boys instead of just 2. Heck, 4 might be more interesting.

You may be asking yourself what happens if one opponent goes crystal while another goes weapon. Well, you won't be as invincible you'll you still be very sturdy. In these scenario a little more logic is required. Many times there will be one opponent that out shines the others. At the end of the day, this is the one you want to directly hard counter. If you still can't decide or if all opponents are deadly and very between crystal and weapon, just follow the "Mixed" build above. That'll serve you well.

Assumptions Kill Top

One of the main advantages you and your team has in every game (assuming this doesn't get too popular!), is that most players are going to think that you're squishy. They'll believe you're making a mistake as you lead your teammates into the fray.

Much to their chagrin, this will be a huge mistake. They will waste more of their burst potential and efforts on you while your teammates remain relatively untouched. Oh you'll still do decent damage but this build is all about lasting power. That is, you'll be the first one in, last one out.

While you don't want to be too confident (especially as you're getting use to this play style) you should feel comfortable taking any hero on one-on-one.

What's also beautiful is when players attempt to kite you with the belief that they have more lasting power than you. This build is great for chasing down weakened foes. After all, you can afford to take a few turret hits when maxed out.

You'll also feel more confident chasing someone with the potential concern of an ambush. In an ambush scenario you should survive with no problem. Please note, however, in an ambush scenario you still want to run. You're not that invincible :).

Advanced Trickery Top

This is something to play around with once you get use to the build.

Utilize your Fountain of Renewal Active Skill
In regards to chasing someone down, or fighting someone one-on-one. You want to keep them in the fight and not scare them off too soon. That is, you want them to feel like they have a chance to kill you :). As you are fighting someone don't be too quick to use your 2-3 Fountain of Renewal heals. Let the player drop you to 50%... maybe even further. Make it feel as though if everything goes normally, he will out damage you and you will die. However, once you get down enough start popping off each of the heals as needed. This plays on human nature. As he invests more of his energy into the fight, he's more committed. The more committed, the more irrational his decisions will be. You'll notice a lot of kills can be earned by tricking your opponent in this fashion. If you have 3 Fountain of Renewal it's like having 3 Aces up you sleeve. Use them wisely :).

Good luck!
