Threat Hero Notes
1
SAW Saw is not dangerous at all. In case you are not playing in public transport ;-)
2
Ardan Moving slow, being slow. Pointless against you skills. However, can still be dangerous if has some items letting him slow you. And be alware of his ultimate as it can destroy you. Always buy reflex block when he reaches level 6
3
Joule Since while playing Celeste you will always keep distance Joule with her short range magic is powerless. But be careful with her jump, because once you are stunned...
4
  No Threat
5
Glaive Glaive is not the easiest character in the game. If played well he can stun you and knock you right into his allies' hands. Watch out when he is running towards you.
5
Celeste This duel is called who stuns first or whose ultimate is ready to burst out. Be careful. Better enter the fight leave her with few health and let allies do the thing, while you will be standing and watching her flying to her base.
5
Adagio The problem coming from Adagio is in his longer range. If he manages to get to you closer enough he will heal himself and it will slow you significantly. Letting him kill you.
5
Krul Krul himself can be easily blocked by properly aimed stun. However if he gets you and slow you enough you can start thinking about items you will buy while waiting for ressurection.
5
Skaarf I would say that here everything is very unpredictable. It depends on aiming of both of you. He is faster. you can stun. Try to stun. And then we will see.
6
  No Threat
7
Petal More dangerous than Krul because of her long range and more dangerous ultimate. Though we can easily kill her minions, if she has a wp build it will not necessarily give us advantage. Be careful
8
  No Threat
9
Catherine She is deadly for us guys right after she buys aftershock. If there are more sources of damage RUN RUN RUN!!! She with her bursts of speed and amazing sword stunning you is always followed by allies. It is a battle to death!
9
Ringo Longer range, fast speed that lets him avoid the danger coming from our skills. Plus his ultimate letting him 'escape' the fighting and then kill you from long distance. He is the most dangerous laner for you
10
Koshka Needless to say, she empowered by twirling and boosted by her skills can get to you fast, kill you fast and rapibly escape the battlefield. So if you are not in the mood for dying do not hesitate bying scout traps in order to detect her it is too late. However, there are some players starting with Reflex block items, well, with proper experience i believe that you will make them end with the same item as well. Also stunning can do its job.
10
Taka Eins, zwei, drei and you are dead. Taka is extremely dangerous because instead of Koshka he can become invisible. Especially dangerous if you have no defencive items and he starts with Tension Bow and Aftershock.

Introduction Top

All those who is expecting to find a universal , suitable for all cases guide out here may close this page immediately. But those who are willing to get the maximum utility out of presented tips are welcome. Each game is unique, and it is in your best interest to make it beneficial for you and your team. Remember, always be flexible!

Firstly , we will start with some general tips concerning gameplay.

Playing mage, how does it feel? Top

Sometimes it is very hard to switch from a pretty tanky hero like Ardan, Catherine or Glaive to any mage. Mages are very fragile, especially Celeste and one wrong more may cost you a trip back to base while a right one will cost a trip back to base to enemies. So here are some tips for those who want to improve playing as Celeste:
1) Play as many times as you can. This will improve you playstyle, plus it will let you feel the speed Celeste is moving with and feel the amount of damage you can handle. Plus, it will also discover strength and weaknesses of the character and her main strength
2) Always check a minimap (on the top right of the screen). This will help you with realising where enemy heroes are in order to avoid ambushes.
3) Be very careful all the time. If you see that jungle is partially taken by enemies- do not go to jungle shop. If you saw on minimap that enemies were approaching jungle- get closer to ally turret. If you see that enemy laner has suddenly started to act very bravely get to ally turret (psychologically, he would be acting bravely if he knew that there allies who would back him up)
4) Never enter enemy side jungle first unless you know that all three heroes are dead. However, you can be vulnerable if you are experinced enough and you know where they are
5) Keep in mind she has a short range. Shortest in the game. So when you fighting with any hero remember that you leaving the fight will still let them attack you, and Petal or Ringo may follow you with ultimates

Celeste and her tools. Top

Julia's light

."Celeste's basic attacks are spells, dealing 65-115 (level 1-12) crystal damage with a 50% crystal ratio. Celeste's basic attacks also reveal enemy heros for 1.5 seconds - even after the target leaves vision range."
So, do not try wp build because Celeste has a few weapon power and her basic attacks will be empowered by crystal! Furthermore, always use Heliogenesis on the brush because it will help you reveal all enemy heroes hiding there. And the enemy hit by your basic attack will be seen everywhere on the map for 1.5 seconds. Use it wisely especially when you are chasing enemies.

Here is the example of her basic attack. Looks like long sparkling chewing gum

Heliogenesis

"Celeste forms a small star at a target location, dealing crystal damage to nearby enemies. The star will briefly linger on the field. If Celeste uses this ability on an existing star, the star will go supernova, dealing more crystal damage in a larger area."
This ability must be maxed first with no exceptions! When maxed, the range of this ability is 9 (just like Adagio's ultimate Verse of Judgement). It not just allows us to attack enemies from a larger distance but also allows us to attack turrets when there are no ally minions targeted.
First when we form a star it will deal damage in a short range Then, after the cooldown we will be able to use the same ability on an existing star, dealing greater damage
So the strategy here is simple. You need to form the stars Heliogenesis in a places that are very likely to be center of battlefield. Then use Heliogenesis on already existing stars in order to deal tons of damage. If you did not manage to form a star before the fight then form them wisely to attack enemies. There are some examples of attacking with Heliogenesis

Core Collapse

. "After a brief delay, the target location collapses and nearby enemies are stunned and take crystal damage" Very powerful and useful. Mass stun. Example:
The strategy using this skill is simple. When you are on the lane and you are under attack stun the MDD and run! When you are in team fights and there is no other stun in the team, use it only when an enemy hero ( Skaarf, Adagio, Joule) use their ultimates. Because in this way you can stun them and save the entire enemy team.If you have Catherine let her do the job but still try not to use this skill wherever you want. It has long cooldown so being precise and accurate while casting this spell is required!!!

Solar Storm

"Celeste launches a storm of stars that travel across the world. The lead star passes through all enemies it hits, dealing crystal damage. Trailing stars collide with the first enemy they hit, dealing crystal damage in an area. The number of trailing stars increases each time Solar Storm is upgraded. Deals reduced damage to non-heroes and does not damage structures"
Number of trailing stars at levels 1,2,3 of this ability is 2,4,6 consequently. Here is how it looks like:

There are several tips for using this ability!

1.Use this ability only when enemies align in one line and this line is perpendicular to you! Also do not use it if the first enemy standing ahead is Ardan or Catherine (with Stormguard) , as they will not take a lot of damage but can block trailing stars that explode with a first contact!Watch out Turrets since they will block trailing stars.
2.Do no waste it as it can deal tons of damage when aimed properly. So do not hope for magical powerful unthoughtful aiming that will help yor team
3.How to aim Kraken? Sometimes you might want to risk and target your ultimate towards Kraken. Well, here is a picture that will help you. Follow it precisely. Almost all stars will attack Kraken. Howeverm do not forget, that trailing stars may not attack Kraken if something or someone (enemy heroes) are on their way. Also check the place Celeste is standing

Early game behaviour-Lane Golddigging Top

In early game you must always buy boots. Because if the jungle invasion destroys your allies you can go to a lane faster. Then buy yourself energy. Then slowly buy all items required for Aftershock. Try to leave lane as few times as possible. Moreover be very careful as you can get killed very quickly. So cross the middle of the lane only if you see other two heroes on a minimap. Or when you have enough energy to use Heliogenesis in the brush to reveal enemz heroes

A helping hand Top

I call this strategy so because i generally noticed that after you earned gold enough for Aftershock the goldmine is almost full. Here comes your turn because Aftershock is significantly useful because of our first skill with a fast cooldown and a passive of aftershock granting us with additional damage. So helping hand will be given to your allies in order to get the gold from mine, kill all enemies and get enemy jungle side minions in order to either get a level advantage or get rid off existed disadvantage.

Core-Response Strategy Top

Here comes the time for thinking about how do we actually upgrade our skills and what items will result in the win. Well, first of all you go with Eve of Harvest as it gives us crystal lifesteal (that heals us a lot) and then we go with shattered glass. I do not recommend upgrading boots before these two items are obtained. And of course if you need to slow your enemies you should get Frostburn. It is most effective against Ringo, Koshka, Taka, Skaarf and Catherine.
And what is Response strategy? Well it is a strategy that allows you to get the items that will probably counteract enemies more efficient. So there are different cases:

1)Enemies have a lot of SHIELD. Go and IMMEDIATELY buy shield pierce and update it IMMEDIATELY. If does not then go with one more Shatterglass.

2)Who is your MAINDAMAGEDEALER? (MDD) For example, most of the damage comes from Ringo . Then buy Metal Jacket. If it is Koshka, then Aegis

3)If you feel like you need to stun enemies even more, then check the other build 'Celeste. Superstunner' max Core Collapse and get Clockwork . If there is no such need then always max the third.

OVERPOWERED Top

It happens but rarely. It comes when you bought all of your main items and now you have one free spot. My suggestion is to fill it with Crystal Infusion, take one.And then either repeat this step or get Shatterglass. It depends on how much gold you will have. Of course, Shatterglass is preferred. Again, if you feel like you need more defence, feel free to buy corresponding items!
