I am sadthecat, a Singapore player in SouthEastAsian region, i have not played ranked in a long time and decayed from got swagger silver to worthy foe silver. I don't really think rank matters and even in POA rank you can find alot of boosted people that belong in a elo way lower than just beginning. I have friends who are rock solid but are as good as credible threat, so getting boosted people in your team is very tilting and makes it frustrating to rank up. High rank people still make bad decesions like chasing enemies instead of killing kraken. I started playing 2015 a few months before Reim's release. I am not a god elo player, i am just average. If you are better than me, just comment or tweak the stratergies below to suit your playstyle. I play league too :P

This guides is just to educate the people that want to learn this cool hero and improve on her. To play the pilot you have to be the pilot

Skye is one of the highest skill laners in the game, she has the most mobility and if you played league of legends, she is like yasuo and an ADC combined. Skye is imbetween an assassin and a carry class hero, you have to learn how to engage and disengage, your chase is unparalleled. Weapon build makes your mobility high and goes more assassin,crystal makes you more of a carry and deal more damage with good aiming. Landing your A skill is important for the damage, your scaling throughout the match is decent, you are a uniform threat.

Learning Skye is quite challenging, for beginners learn the importance of Suri Strike as it grants you BS mobility and outplay potential. Her major disadvantage is that her B and ult needs to be triggered with passive

her A skill is Forward Barrage - slows (skillshot, hits only the first enemy)
Overdrive: increases DPS to 320CP, barrage lasts for 3 seconds
her B skill is Suri Strike - dash, requires and increases duration of Target Lock and resets A cooldown
Overdrive: increase lock on duration significantly to 4 secs
her ultimate is Death From Above - stuns, slows (damage over time) requires and increases range of Target Lock
Ultimates have no overdrive, but putting a point in your ult decreases your cooldown on this ability significantly to 18 secs. as well as lasting duration

Skye's mobility allows you to flank the enemy quite hard, you will want to abuse the range of your A and poke them down or finish them off.

Create an opening with your ultimate, using your A will also prompt the tanks to shield or bodyblock the barrage from hitting the carries, by doing this their backline is exposed, a Glaive or Joule can easily screw it hard

i keep saying this, but you must abuse skye's mobility and use it to its fullest potential, use it as a slingshot dash. it requires you to shoot something.

Backlining with your B can be risky or rewarding, the best way to create an opening is to ult the area near where you want to go and B in, followed by your A.

To play Skye you have to be a pilot yourself, i play titanfall lmao. So its important to take note of you surroundings and make minions you flanking routes, turn moments of loss into victory, your kit makes you the most you a carry and a mage, for a carry you can outplay every, single hero. Speed core build lets you kyte the ever living **** out of your enemy, melts tanks too, also you can possibly out-damage a Ringo if his B Twirling Silver is on CD(cooldown). This build abuses your passive. Against weapon Skye you have even match-ups everywhere. Because your going weapon, your A is the most unnecessary skill, but if your a good pilot you can use it to help your team chase down an enemy as it has a slow when using weapon power. You will want the overdrive on B as it allows you to use it more frequently as it makes you more mobile. Maxing your ult gives you a longer duration of the AOE(area of efect) slow, and its crucial having a shorter cooldown as at max rank you should be able to spam it every 15 seconds. it will disrupt enemies and has a stun if you land the first hit. If you don't know what kyte means, it means moving and attacking a target, basically strafing. As weapon skye you will want to use the passive on your B and ult. Chase people down in lane by using minions to proc your passive, look super cool doing it as you nab a last minute kill.

TO play this build of Skye you have to make decesion to use your skill shots. Majority of your damage is your A. make them eat the full forward barrage. If your in a tight situation, using W to dodge behind laggy attacks like SAW's Suppressing Fire will allow you to punish them. Skye's B is not affected by slow, it moves a set distance, making it the perfect tool to reposition, enemies chasing you while you W makes them eat a full missile salvo.
When your going CP Skye its important that you land your Ult, as it is damage over time and has a stun on first hit. pair up with a Phinn or Joule to help them go in your ult. Your Death From Above can go in a line if you click away from the target or in a circle if you click on the target, i prefer using the line as it has aa(auto attack) bigger hitbox and can help in chasing, engaging or fleeing. Skye's kit synergizes with Broken Myth, and getting Clockwork allows you to spam abilities as your energy meter is basically infinite, the 30% CP increase makes skye's late game damage ridiculous and you can melt tanks with the shield pierce and damage amp.

Your main source of damage is your A, so landing it is crucial. If you don't know, Forward Barrage deals more damage to locked on targets, overdriving A decreases cooldown and increases crit dmage , in the early game if you land a full barrage without lock on is quite a waste. But here is the gamble, take a few hits from the opposition and trade back with the barrage, or the screw up and miss your A. try not to do this with a SAW, if you land one auto he already landed 3 or 4 on you. Your A doesn't do crit like the website say it does, but significantly raises DPS(damage per second) by Forward Barrage

IF you are escaping through jungle, its important to put scout traps near jungle camps so you can use you passive or Suri Strike.

Skye's passive makes sure you can't run as fast when you are fleeing, but if you turn around at the right time when skye's auto attack hits the enemy, you can get the full movement speed and kyte, easier with weapon.

Skye's Forward Barrage does deceptively high damage if you land the full thing, very strong with Broken Myth
If you don't know, weapon makes your A do a 40% slow when you have enough WP. very important when allocating points in W and ult.

If you don't know yet, your a 1v1 queen of carries, outduel anyone with your short cooldowns.
