Threat Hero Notes
1
Ringo Ringo is very vulnerable in lane, and is easily killed with burst damage.
1
Vox Vox is squishy as crap, and can't fight your burst damage. If he silences you, it only lasts for a second. Pretend to run away before ulting him.
2
  No Threat
3
Taka Other Taka's are easy to kill, since he is very squishy, but if he kills you pre level 6, then you might be in for a rough game.
3
SAW Saw is very dangerous with all his Spin-ups, so I recommend waiting for all his stacks to run out before ganking him with your laner. If he retains his stacks, disguise and retreat for your abilities to come back up.
3
Skye Skye is okay in everything: defense, attack damage, abilities and retreating. She doesn't have any part about her that's very outstanding. Coordinating with your team to kill her should be pretty simple, but watch out for her ult, which will be very annoying.
3
Petal With the new Petal remake, I have not even seen her once, but have played her a couple of times. She can destroy weapon Taka, but can't handle the burst from Crystal God. She now can jump, allowing her to pass over walls, so watch for that if she's trying to escape
4
  No Threat
5
Celeste While Celeste is very squishy and easy to kill, if she is good, then she will know when you are coming with her first, which gives vision. Watch for her stun, and time your kaiten so you won't get stunned.
5
Glaive Glaive is a natural tank, with a ton of damage. He can kill you any time of the game if he's smart, so coordinate with your teammates and burst him when he's low and alone.
6
  No Threat
7
Joule Joule is a severe damage dealer, as well as a hardy tank. However, your ult and first gives you advantage while she is ulting. As in any team fight, wait till the enemy is low before killing Joule.
7
Krul Krul has massive 1v1 potential, but most kruls are very stupid and smite immediately. Draw his dead man's rush, and make sure the buff is down before killing him.
7
Skaarf Skaarf can anti burst you with his first, which has a shorter cooldown and a ton of damage. You need to catch him by surprise, and have him nowhere near his turret.
7
Adagio Adagio can heal himself, disabling your mortal wound, which comes very handy in finishing kills, and his ult will stun and deal massive damage to you. If he tanks up, he will be hard to beat and will help his teammates against your burst.
8
  No Threat
9
Koshka Koshka can destroy you early game, with her passive and her second. Wait till late game before engaging with Koshka.
9
Fortress Fortress is a tanky piece of work. His ult gives him the ability to find you first, and gives him increased attack speed for his second to activate. Unless the Fortress is stupid, I would recommend waiting for all your teammates to take him down.
9
Ardan Arden can block your burst damage with his vanguard, and can deal some damage with his second. Also, his ult will prevent you from running away. If he's stupid and gets tension bow, then he'll be easy, but if he tanks up, then your in for a rough time.
9
Rona Rona is arguably one of the heroes with the highest potential right now. She has high damage, and can reveal you with her first and ult. Her passive can help her survive and is anti-bust. If the Rona is good, then I recommend going weapon.
10
Catherine Ulting or kaitening Catherine while she has her shield up will not faze her at all; she is the anti burst hero. Her ult silences your abilities for a long time, and her stun will destroy you. Wait till her shield is down before bursting her with your abilities.
10
Phinn Phinn deals severe damage with his first, and his second will reveal you if you disguise. His second also buffs against your burst potential. His ult will pull you in, so you are very vulnerable. He is just not good to play against.

About Me: Top

Hi, I'm SlayGod69, and I've been playing VainGlory for a year. Taka was my very first hero, and he has been my main since update 1.9. I like to experiment with builds, for extra fun, and I like playing any of the champions. This is my first guide, and I hope you enjoy!

Introduction: Top

Taka used to be one of the largest slayers in the whole game. His passive, which gave crits, lifesteal and CDR, was one of the most op in the whole game. However, VG decided to change him in Update 1.9. They got rid of the lifesteal, making his potential as wp assassin close to null. Therefore, I experimented with all sorts of builds, from tension bow to shatterglass to clockwork builds. This build is my most successful one, with a 5-2 win-loss rate, and the losses were due to my team afk'ing.

Skills Top

House Kumaha:
This is Taka's passive, which guarantees crits every five seconds and gives CDR(cooldown reduction). Each time he crits or uses an ability, he gets a stack of ki. Each stack speeds up the crit cooldown and gives 25% cooldown reduction. This stacks up to five times.
Kaiten:
This is Taka's first ability, where he spins over the target, dealing crystal damage, and becomes invulnerable while in the air. When overdrived, this ability does not use any energy, which becomes incredibly useful for staying in the fight.
Kaku:
This is Taka's second ability, where he becomes invisible, gains movement speed and heals himself based on cp. This is incredibly useful for keeping stacks of ki, retreating from battle, chasing a kill, ganking, healing, and re-positioning. This ability has a long cooldown, and DOES NOT DO DAMAGE, so save it for when you need it.
X-retsu:
This is Taka's ult, the main source of burst damage. He bursts through his target, carving an X, and applies a mortal wound. The mortal wound causes bleeding, which scales off of cp. The target keeps bleeding while Taka is attacking the target. The bleeding is great for getting kills, since your basic attack is very weak. The ult grants 1, 2, or 3 stacks of ki, going up with levels.

Gameplay Top

Build:
Starting with energy battery allows you to spam your abilities early on, making your clear faster. If you want, you can start with crystal bit, but you can always get that when you make your first clear. Start off with piercing shard, which bypasses the target's shield and gives a decent amount of CP. After, buy heavy prism for heavy damage. Save up for Eve of Harvest, which gives your abilities life steal. After Eve of Harvest, either broken myth or Shatterglass will be effective. You don't want to get travel boots too early in the game, since your build requires a lot of money for lots of burst.
Ganking:
Since you have very little damage besides your first pre-level 6, only gank when the opponent is very stupid or has little health. Kills early game don't grant much gold, so I wouldn't waste time on it. However, at level 6, Taka's potential soars. His second allows him to sneak right behind enemies, and his ult does massive damage, paired with a high-damage first.
Team Battles:
Taka is very squishy, probably the weakest hero in the entire game. During team battles, avoid going into the middle of the fight, rather, go to the back where usually the high damage dealers are and burst them. It helps to have all five stacks of ki before going into battle. After killing the marksman or mage, disguise and re-position yourself so the other team can't see you. Even if you're low on health after assassinating the carry, the disguise will heal you for a large amount of health. After your cooldowns are off, burst the the second damage dealer, not the support.
Farming:
Although it takes a frustratingly long time to kill jungle creeps, the end result is worth it. You end up with a burst hero capable of 1v3 their whole team.
