Reasons for this Build and General Tips Top

Intro
The whole reasoning behind this build is that Baptiste is a MELEE Mage.

Alternating Current
So what I have been doing in my past matches with him is building an Alternating Current to boost the potency of his passive, Reap. Reap gives Baptiste a boost in damage output after 4 basic attacks and/or in combination with 4 abilities landing and dealing damage.

Halcyon Chargers
These boots are meant for mages, and Baptiste is a mage, so this choice kind of speaks for itself

Aegis and Metal Jacket
Most mages are ranged, such as Celeste and Skaarf. But Baptiste is not. He is a melee mage, like Reim. But Reim is naturally tanky, while Baptiste is not. And even with Reim you still build defense! So if the Alternating Current is going to be of use, you are going to need to be able to tank some damage. So that's what these items are for.

Frostburn
If you aren't ranged, why not make it so that you can get to them easier? That's what the Frostburn is for. It slows enemies so that you can catch up to them, but not everytime you hit them though. It does have a small cooldown after you slow someone before you can slow someone again.

Broken Myth
The sole purpose for the Broken Myth is to amplify your Crystal Damage output. So if you can already tank all that damage, why not deal some more right back at your opponents.

Potential OP Combo?!?! Top

I was messing around with Baptiste in practice mode and blitz mode, and I found that if you want to demolish someone, you would use Ordained on your target, then use Fearsome Shade on them immediately to force them to get stunned. Then one of your teammates (preferably Catherine or Glaive) would stun them again while you pelt them in a bunch of Bad Mojos They would surely be dead at the end of this combination unless they are Phinn with max health.

Thank You for Checking Out my Guide!!! Top

Hey, thanks for checking out my guide!!!
Here's a little bit about myself:
-I am an Ardan/Skaarf dual main
-My highest rank is 6 Bronze, but I keep getting matched with people in rank 8 or 9, so that might say something, I don't know
-I have been playing Vainglory since patch 1.5 (May 23rd 2015)

Feel free to comment anything you would like to ask about or even give me some advice on how to make this guide better!

Thanks, ER9088
