Petal Petal isin't really a threat as you can push her exploding Munions which is her ultimate out of the way using your 2nd ability before they explode on your teammates or yourself.

Skaarf Skaarf's 2nd ability is easy to counter as you can use your 3rd ability which is combat roll to roll out of it.However be careful of him if he is building crystal as he can deal A HUGE amount of damage from a far however you can also use combat roll to roll away from it

Skye You must beware of Skye now ESPECIALLY since the latest update as her full barrage which is the first ability can slow you down leaving you and your teammates vulnerable to suprise attacks while they are unable to escape however you can always use combat role to get out of her ultimate.Remember crucible can usually be used once in team fights due to its long cooldown so use it wisely.The other option to prevent your teammates from getting slowed by her ultimate is to use war threads.

Taka Taka is EXTREMELY dangerous to you as he can always use his 2nd ability to escape after attacking you while you are off guard.Thats why i have included contraption in the build.Plus lance attacks quite slowly and Taka is very agile thus rendering you basic attacks almost useless.However if you can predict where he is and use your impale which is your first ability, your teammates can all GANK him before he runs off!

Build: Jungle Lance (WP)

Lance the Captain of the Arenas (Captain) Top

Firstly let me introduce myself.My IGN is malcolmia158 from the south east Asia server and my rank is Pinnacle Of Awsomeness Bronze.
Here is a really short introduction on Lance's Captain abilities.
1.)OVERDIRVE:Lance strikes through his opponents, dealing weapon damage and rooting them in place (max 1.6 seconds). If this attack hits at least one enemy, Lance will immediately recover from the ability.If this hits an enemy, it also resets the cooldown of Combat Roll(3rd ability).
1st ability enables him to impale an enemy or minions which stops them for moving for a short period of time after a short delay.Useful for Ganking as it renders the opponents disabled.Be patient when using Impale.Lance needs to be sure that when he uses Impale that his allies are prepared to gank the rotted enemy. If his allies are not in a good position to engage if Impale is used offensively,Lance would be at risk of being out of position resulting in being GANKED and possibly killed. When using Impale defensively, it is important for Lance to make sure that his allies are ready to either immediately reengage or retreat depending on the situation. Patience is key to ensure that Impale also lands successfully.

2.)Lance's 2nd ability:Gythian Wall
Overdrive:While active, Lance ignores all debuffs (from any direction).
Lance can use this ability in a very vast choices.For example if Joule fires her Big Red Button on your allies,you can use Gythian wall to shove her out of position.Normally when i use Lance and i want to Gank the laner in early game,i would firstly impale him from a certain spot while they are immobile,i use my thrid ability which we will get to later and get behind the enemy before using Gythian wall to shove them to my allies.however if the enemy is close to a structure like a wall and you are not to confident in executing the tatic i use,you can shove them into the structure which will stun them for a SHORT period of time.

3.)Lance's 3rd ability is Combat roll.
Lance's combat rule is very unique and has no advantage when overdrive.
Combat roll can render an enemy's Ultimate useless.For example you can dodge Krul's,Joule's,kestrel's,Phinn's and Gwen's aces high.But do take note then when doing so you do not kill your teamates as they might need you to block that shot for them.
However this can also be used offensively where you want to finish an opponent off as his next basic attack within 2 seconds will strike quickly, dealing bonus crystal damage.

BTW GUYS I STILL HAVE 2 OTHER ROLES WHERE YOU CAN READ LOOK AT THE TOP LEFT HAND SIDE OF YOUR SCREEN WHERE IT SAYS BUILD 1 OF 3 AND BESIDE IT IS A BLUSE ARROW WHERE YOU CAN CLICK ON IT TO CHOOSE THE ROLE YOU WANT!!!

Counter build,Matchup and Synergy Top

Alright guys now lets go through this in detail.Lets start with melee heroes.
Black feather:
Black feather is a really good guy to have on your team when facing characters like Vox or Ringo.However if he is your opponent, you will have to beware about him.So basically you must have a contraption when facing Black Feather. Try to place scout traps in bushes to prevent black feather from Rushing your carry.However when Black feather is imobilised,he can be useless at that point of time as he is unable to escape however he can use on point when you are rushing him so he gains a barrier of health.watch out for his rose offensive especially when he is going WP be sure to react quickly in order to shove him away using your second ability while he is executing it thus saving your teammates or yourself a lot of damage being dealt!!!

Catherine:
Catherine is similar to black feather.Just beware of her first ability which can stun people.Do note that each time she stuns any hero she gets 1shield and armour for free!So simply shove her away with your 2nd ability if she is trying to stun you.However some players think that Catherine can no longer stun anyone after the animation and speed boots is gone.PLEASE GUYS she can still stun you for another 2 to 3 seconds.Do not go up to her immediately and start attacking her which the situation will not end in your favour.If you want to be really cautious,you can always use combat roll to roll out of the way too.

Flicker:
Flicker is really easy to counter!Just make sure your captain has contraption in his build and you are all ready to go.Flicker's 1st and second ability can be easily countered by using your 2nd and 3rd ability.Simply role out of the way and shove her away from you and you will be safe.However Flicker is capable of making her allies completly invisible for a period of time which can be use offensively where they can ambush you!

Fortress:
Fortress is pretty painful when it comes to early and late game so beware of this guy!We all know that if fortress builds Stormcrown, there is nothing you can do so i have one advice stay near YOUR crystal miner when fighting him cause when he unleashes his wolves,you are going to have a hard time fending off SIX attackers.BTW try not to always start a team fight.If you are unsure whether you should start fighting,retreat stay near the crystal miner and take the opportunity to farm!!! This is because there are a lot of players out there who do not have patience and will start the fight with you sooner or later so there is a no need for you to do so.
p.s. crystal miner is seriously strong so stay near to him will yah.

Glaive:
Glaive is basically a very strong hero IF you try to fight a 1 VS 1 with him with Lance you will likely lose so do not do so.When you encounter him you MUST build armour unless he decides to go CP which is very rare.Just stay out of his afterburn range. But do not worry as he will most likely target your carry.You might want to stay close to your carry so when glaive afterburns him you can shove him out of the way preferably into a wall to stun him and punish him for being out of position!

Gwen:
Gwen is a VERY HARD hero to counter if you are using Lance in my opinion.
Firstly she can use her second ability to escape your impale and use the time for you to recover to punish you for being out of position.
Secondly her 1st ability is dangerous to your allies because its slows them down which might result in the enemy rushing your carry or jungler frequently!
Thirdly,her ultimate ACES HIGH can stun you and your allies.However if your reflexes are fast enough you can always use combat roll to roll out of the way thus saving your aegis or reflex block.But if you are in a scenario where your teammate is not a very experienced player(which i do not hope so)and did not buy aegis or reflex block,you can always help them take that shot and reflex block or aegis to block it for them.THAT IS ONLY IF YOUR CAPTAIN HAS ALREADY USED CRUCIBLE OR HAS SLOW REFLEXES!!!

Idris(WP):
Idris does certain shine in the game but i would not worry much about him.However you might want to take on the role of protecting him as you allies may not be able to defend him so be sure to shove him out of the way if he gets out of hand.Rooting him might be a problem as he can always use his 1st ability to escape your impale so you may want to wait for him to use it first.

Joule(WP):
Ok guys I am going to be honest I do not really know how to counter a WP joule because i have not seen one before.So you HAVE to build metal jacket however if the joule builds attack speed please build Atlas Pauldron. However if your CAPTAIN has purchased the Atlas please do not buy it because it does not stack.Her Big Red Button will not deal so much damage as compared to her CP counter part which i will be covering later so no need to buy Slumbering Husk.
And please people Rush the carry first and not her.

Joule(CP)
Joule CP is seriously BROKEN but thanks for update 2.0 we only need to spend 1600 gold!!!
So slumbering husk really helps a ton not only because of The BIG RED BUTTON but because of its ability to save you getting killed even though you are rushed.Very effective against TAKA,KRUL and RONA'S 3rd ability.
And you can also use your 2nd ability to shove her out of target so her BIG RED BUTTON hits nothing or you can use your 3rd ability to escape depends on which is available first eh.

Koshka:
Koshka has a really high success rate if she rushes your allies.So the GOLDEN QUESTION how to counter her?Well her ability to rush someone successfully is due to her abilities so 'disable' them and she will be useless.When she tries to use her ultimate to stun you or your carry,simply watch closely and shove her away.This is actually a pretty hard skill to master.So like i always said STAY WITH YOU CARRY IN TEAM FIGHTS AT ALL TIMES.

Krul:
Seriously,Krul???
Ok here is the thing about Krul.1st he comes up to someone and does a bunch of attacks and the next thing you know All Of A Sudden,there is this thing portuding out of you!Bad news his sword or guitar or surfboard and then you are probably dead or running away like USAIN BOLT.So how to counter him? Simple!Just make sure your Captain has an atlas and crucible if not preferably a reflex or aegis for yourself!And please PEEPS do not bother trying to 1 VS 1 him unless you have your atlas which should not be the case since you aren't the Captain!!!.
Oh yah if your reflexes are fast you can roll out of his ultimate just in time BUT please do not sabotage your Carry and get him Stunned or KILLED in the process. After all i gave you war threads for extra health!

Lance:
Guys i figure out that your Lance would be better then the opponents's Lance because you read my guide.So you will win.

OZO:
OZO is easy to counter if you can time your Gythian wall ability well. If OZO does his 2nd ability on you or your carry,you use Gythian wall to shove him back and punish him for being out of position.Same rules apply if OZO uses his ultimate.
If possible build Poison Shiv to counter him as it will reduce the health barrier he gains when in mid-air.

Phinn:
Easy to counter even though your 2nd and 1st ability does not affect him,you can always dodge his attacks by using your 3rd ability.I have a trick against him though.If you are about to die,you can stand underneath him.By doing so,his 1st and 3rd ability cannot touch you except his 2nd.This should buy your teammates some time to escape or reposition!Try to bait him to use his abilities and dodge it using your 3rd ability before your team engages!

Reim:
Try to burst him down before he attacks you or your allies his 3rd ability is quite hard to role out of as it is quite fast however he should not be targeting you so just protect your allies.And you can build poison shiv to counter him.If you do so you can replace tornado trigger with it.

Rona:
lance can easily counter her but beware of her 1st ability as she can use her 1st ability to get infiltrate your front line and get to your carry or Jungler. However if she successfully enters your ranks,she will most likely use her 3rd ability so try to shove her into a wall to cancel it or shove her away which will buy you and your teammates some team to recover and get into position again.

TAKA:
Basically just shove him away using Gythian wall if you are lucky you can root him and burst him down.Though there is one item that can save you from dying when he tries to rush you.The Famous Slumbering Husk.1600gold only can save your life a countless times.

Synergy

Lance can be paired with a few characters for example Skye,Krul,Skarff,Black feather and Ringo
This allows Skye to unleash her full barrage on the enemy when rooted.
Krul can easily burst down his opponents when they are rooted as they are immobile.But try to root the carry or jungler.
Skarff's first ability can go through multiple enemies at once and his 2nd ability can be place onto the enemy when rooted this give Skarff and his allies some time to reposition or deal some serious damage while the enemy is trying so hard to get out of the goop.Especially effective when going CP
Black feather is really strong with Lance.Black feather can always on point the enemies slowing them down to allow Lance a higher chance on rooting them while they are slowed.When rooted,black feather can use his ultimate and slice through them either once or twice while the carry finishes them off.Very effective when WP.
Now Ringo is going to be very effective with Lance.When Lance impales them rendering them immobile.This gives Ringo just enough time to use his ultimate on them.As the enemies are in a clump,Ringo's ultimate will deal massive damage to all of them!!!ESPECIALLY WHEN GOING CP.
p.s. echo for (CP)Ringo's ultimate?Might work with Lance.hehe

Lance captain of the arenas (Carry WP) Top

Ok guys i have already introduced myself so lets get rolling on the fold.

Lance the Carry.

Ladies and Gentlemen Weapon Lance is such a beast.Firstly let me explain the main idea of him going to the lane.
Lance has a huge potential of success as he has many advantages.His first advantage is the heroic perk which is Partisan's Technique.

Partisan's Technique:Lance's basic attacks damage every target along their path. However, his attacks are slow to land and attack speed is less effective on him.

Instead of energy, Lance uses stamina to activate his abilities. Purchasing items with energy and energy regeneration increases his stamina and stamina regeneration.

Max Stamina: 100 + 20% Max Energy
Stamina Regen: 15+50% Energy Regen

Lance's Heroic perk enables him to attack about two enemy at once if they are standing close to each other!Now this allows him to farm efficiently and he can attack two lane minions at once however if you attack the last lane minion,you will be able to hit all four of the minions.If you do not want to attack two or more minions then you have to switch to a position such that you are directly opposite that minion and are not facing the minions in a ROW!
However do take note that Lance attacks very slowly due to his heroic perk so you have to time perfectly when to skewer those minions in order to last hit.I recommend you to practise last hitting in a practise match before trying it out in PVP game modes.

Lance can use his abilities to defend himself as a carry as he no longer needs to protect his teammates.
However lance has to be VERY CAUTIOUS when using his first ability as it take a certain timing before he stands up and is able to walk again. Remember do not be caught out of position and never use it to start a fight when playing as a Lance CARRY!!! Hey guys check out my WP lance build at the top left hand corner which says build 1 of 3 beside it is a blue arrow click on it to select the other builds.

Lance Captain of the arenas(Jungle WP) Top

Ok guys now Jungle lance is a little hard to master or even understand you have been warned.

As we all know the new update has changed the who gameplay of Vainglory as players are become more aggresive invading each other jungle,getting into team fight even before 1min!!! I have played some rank matches and found out the different sneaky tatics the enemy uses.
For example:The captain goes the the huge jungle trent and starts attacking it while the jungler rushes of to the opponents back jungle minions through the lane and steals them while the enemy are busy with the Captain.

2.)Opponents all hide in the Carry's bush closest to the enemy's turret and gank the Carry from there resulting in a huge amount of free gold to one of the teammate that got the kill.

3.)Enemy's usually start of at the huge jungle trent and attack it thus initiating a team fight.The losing team will then lose one or two members sometimes even all resulting in an ACE,about 200 gold for killing them and 100 gold for clearing their front jungle camps.This can result in a terrible disadvantage for the victim's team as the opponent will dare to invade their jungle even more with the items they bought with the 'free gold'!!!
So i have thought about all these problems and solutions.
Firstly your 2nd ability is perfect for this role since the new update as you have jungle invaders more frequently visiting your jungle.You can use your second ability to shove them away.Now i know it sounds useless so i have thought of another trick.

You use your 1st ability to steal the minions that they are stealing from you and if they chase after you you can shove them away before running however if you have you 3rd ability then you can roll through a wall to escape.If however you are invading the enemy jungle instead,you can always use the same tatic I suggested however you MUST have the CAPTAIN OR CARRY with you as you will most likely lose a fight if you encounter the enemy!
So please guys be careful and do not be to aggressive cause you ain't VONC OR FLASHX.
