 Adagio His Arcane Fire and Ultimate are a small pain to Ardan, especially because he has a lot more health than other heroes.

 Petal Her frailty and lack of burst power (save for Spontaneous Combustion) make her slim pickings.

 Ringo Ringo can kite and has a naturally high damage output. His Achilles Shot and ultimate are moderate problems. Try to isolate him and shut him down quickly when engaging.

Beginning of Game Top

Ardan's protector status is voided in this guide, but it is thankfully a subtle change for your opponents at first glance. Buy a Weapon Blade and some potions to start. I recommend going jungle, but as Ardan is a roaming hero, you can go lane if you are in that situation. Try to rush Tension Bow and pick it up as early as you can, because the sooner, the better. Tension Bow directly synergizes with Blood for Blood well, especially when its Overdrive is taken.

Mid- to Late Game Top

Once Tension Bow has been acquired, opened up is the opportunity to gank and earn some kills. Build to at least Travel Boots before progressing to Tornado Trigger, as the movement speed bonus will benefit the otherwise slow-ish Ardan. Tornado Trigger will help to recharge your Vengeance meter and therefore Blood for Blood faster. It will also synergize with other items on the build such as Serpent Mask, regenerating lifesteal faster.

As Ardan in this guide is primarily a jungler, you should be instinctively capturing Gold and Minion Mines. Although Ardan is bulky and is very survivable, do not try to capture Kraken alone, because if the enemy team gets the jump on you chances are you will not survive, unlike Krul. Once Blood for Blood has been overdrived (is that the past tense? lol) you can make a serious effort to push lane with allies.

Tips and Tricks Top

-When capturing Kraken with allies (or alone, I can't be your conscience), I use Gauntlet to close off the general area and buy more time.

-Chasing enemy heroes can be made quicker and easier by applying Vanguard on yourself or allies close at hand, as it applies a slow to the escaping enemy. Technically, Gauntlet could also be used as a better method for the same purpose.

-Waiting until Tension Bow is charged to gank with Blood for Blood is a good idea, as it will add weapon damage onto your ability.

-With this build, Ardan will be dealing ~50% of the target's health with Blood for Blood, taking Tension Bow and other power boosters into effect. Do not underestimate its power.
