Abilities Top

Gythian Promise - After a short cooldown, Anka's next basic attack on an enemy hero becomes Execute Strike, dealing bonus crystal damage equal to a percentage of the target’s missing health. Additionally, Anka fully refreshes Execute Strike and Shimmer Blade upon getting a hero kill or assist.

- With Shimmer Blade's cooldown refreshed after getting an assist/kill, be sure to think ahead and plan what else you're going to blink to.
- The missing percentage health bonus damage makes her great at taking out squishy targets quickly.

Shimmer Blade - Anka throws a dagger in the target direction, dealing damage to the first enemy hit. When the dagger hits an enemy, Anka can reactivate the ability within 2.2 seconds to blink next to the marked target.

After blinking Anka gains a burst of decaying movement speed.

- This is your main gap closer / escape ability. With each point into this ability, it gains increased range.
- You can also use this onto minions / jungle monsters to move around quickly.

Dance of Blades - Anka throws five knives in a cone, dealing damage to all enemies the knives pass through. Each additional knife after the first deals damage equal to 50% of the initial damage.

- This is her primary source of damage, along with waveclear and poke if you're playing her in lane.
- After blinking to your target, immediately use this to quickly burst them down, then basic attack to get the most damage out of Gythian Promise.

Mirage - Anka dashes in the target direction as she splits off three clones, becoming invulnerable and untargetable during the dash and dealing damage to enemies she and the clones dash through. Her clones dash back to her momentarily afterwards, dealing damage to all enemies in their way.

Additional pass throughs deal damage equal to 50% of the initial damage.

- Time this ability to dodge CC + damage bursts. If you're certain that the enemy target has neither, you can basically use this to reposition.
- Because this can basically act as a Reflex Block, Anka tends to buy Slumbering Husk instead of Aegis for defense.

Testing Combos ( Be sure to constantly basic-attack )
1) A(x2) + B + Ult + Basic Attack + B
2) B + A(x2) + Ult + B
3) A(x2) + Ult + B
4) Ult + B + A(x2) + B

Itemization Top

Double Shatterglass? - Anka needs raw CP to deal as much burst damage as possible. Being an assassin, Dragon's Eye and Eve of Harvest are both already bad choices for her. She wants instant damage, rather than sustain. And Broken Myth of course is always needed for shield pierce.

Situational Items? - Her mobility from Shimmer Blade and Mirage make buying Frostburn a situational item, as well as having already-low cooldowns making Clockwork negligible. If you want to be able to constantly use your abilities and harass the enemy, then Clockwork will work very well. Spellfire is also a weird buy on Anka, as she bursts instead of pokes. I would only buy it for the Mortal Wounds against sustain-heavy heroes.

Defense and Boots? - These both entirely depend on your matchups. Aegis is usually the best option due to Reflex Block being great, Metal Jacket for hard WP carries, and Slumbering Husk to deal with burst heroes such as Koshka.

Now as for boots, I would recommend Halcyon Chargers over Journey Boots. Anka is already extremely mobile, and having more energy + CDR is always great. However, if you have trouble catching enemies or want to be able to quickly position yourself then Journey Boots is always a good buy as well.
