WP or CP Kinetic? Top

Kinetic has both WP and CP scalings for her abilities, but their playstyles are still fairly similar.

- CP : If you want the range advantage in fights by spamming Plasma Driver and Inertial Dash then building CP will do the job. With CP, she can poke heavily with Plasma Driver all while keeping Inertial Dash on a low cooldown with Clockwork to constantly slow/stun for your team to take advantage of. By building CP you'll be in the backline constantly poking and staying safe.

- WP : Kinetic is especially good with building WP because of her passive Tracer Shots, amplifying her damage even more if she buys Breaking Point because she'll be adding in 4 more ticks of damage in addition to her basic attacks. With WP items, you'll be a powerful duelist.

Using Kinetic's Abilities Top

Passive : Tracer Shots - Landing Plasma Driver grants Kinetic a stack of Tracer Shots up to 4 stacks.
Tracer Shots: Kinetic fires a tracer at her target in addition to her basic attack.
- How this works is, when a target is hit by Tracer Shots, (minions or heroes) Kinetic gains a stack that will make her basic attacks shoot an additional Tracer shot.
- To keep the stacks, continue to hit enemies with Plasma Driver as that is the only way to reset the expiration cooldown of it.
- If you have Breaking Point this will do even more damage in long fights because of how easily she can build up stacks.
- With Lifesteal items, each tracer will grant lifesteal individually.

A : Plasma Driver - Kinetic unleashes a burst of energy, damaging the first enemy struck.
- Overdriving this ability is negligible, as it doesn't have much of a difference.
- With how often Kinetic can spam this ability, buying into Spellfire and Clockwork will allow her to poke even more and reset her cooldowns for her other abilities.
- This ability only hits single targets, so look for openings when your opponent moves to last hit or they're in an open area.

B : Inertial Dash - Kinetic dashes and temporarily becomes Charged for 5 seconds.
Charged: Kinetic’s next Plasma Driver deals more damage, has increased range, and slows her target.

Overdrive: Kinetic’s next Plasma Driver briefly stuns her target.
Refreshes Plasma Driver's cooldown at all ranks.

- In both her WP and CP paths, you will always overdrive this ability. Not only will it add a Slow/Stun to her kit, she can hit even harder with Plasma Driver.
- Basic Combo : Plasma Driver + Inertial Dash + Plasma Driver
- This is especially useful for kiting, as not only will you dash away from the enemy you can also slow/stun them along the way. You can also use it to catch up to enemies and secure kills onto them.

Ult : Charged Pulse - Kinetic charges up a powerful blast and fires it at her target.

Consumes all stacks of Tracer Shots to deal 25% bonus damage per stack.
Can be blocked by enemy heroes, structures, and jungle bosses.
- You will be using this to secure kills on low health enemies trying to run away, but be wary that it can be blocked by many things.
- Try to make sure that the target you're shooting does not have any immediate cover they can use to block your shot.
- In some situations it may be better to use Charged Pulse before teamfights to try to deal heavy poke.
