1
Grace Kite her if she is chasing you and use your dash to get away from her knock up ability. Really not that big of a threat.
2
Celeste Your dashing ability basically screws her over. You can just dodge all her abilities, just make sure that you dodge her stunning ability.
2
Joule Pretty easy to kill, just kite her to death. You should be able to dodge all her abilities with a dash. BUT, if she lands on you and you get stunned, get away as fast as possible.
2
Ozo
3
Flicker Kite him and use your dash to get away from his slowing ability. Do not get rooted by his A ability when his team is around, or you're pretty much dead because they will all jump on you
3
Grumpjaw Not much of a problem, but if he eats you, just make sure to use everything you got to get away after he spits you out.
3
Krul Make sure to keep your distance from him and kite him because the more he attacks you, the less damage you do to him and the more life steal he gets. But, generally, the best way to kill him is to kite him to death.
3
Lorelai All of her abilities create slow zones, try to stay away from those zones as her teammates can catch up to you and it renders your kiting useless if you get caught in those zones.
3
Lyra She can heal her teammates a lot but your Poison Shiv can . Also, her B ability prevents you from dashing through the barrier that she makes around herself , so try not to go back and forth between the barrier.
3
Reim He is pretty easy to kite. But try not to let him hit you with his ice spikes as this will give him fortified health which makes him harder to kill. He also has an ability to root his surrounding enemies so make sure your keep you distance.
3
Skaarf
3
Varya
4
Catherine
4
Fortress Not even that big of a threat but the reason I put him higher on the scale is because his A ability allows him and his teammates to have insanely fast movespeed towards you. This can let the entire enemy team dog pile on you easily. Just hope your teammates can peel for you.
4
Lance
4
Phinn All his abilities have cc, he can stun you when he smashes you with his A ability, he can nudge you towards him when he jumps with his B ability, and he can pull you to him with his ULT ability. Get away when he tries to pull you in with his anchor, your best chance is to dash. If you get pulled in and his team is with him, your as good as dead.

Koshka Koshka is not as bad as Taka but she is still a big threat to a Vox. She will pounce in and do a good amount of damage before getting away and letting her abilities cool down. Never get away from your team as you have a better chance of killing her if you stay with your team. Tricks i have against a Koshka is to use your B ability slow her down when she tries to get away, she is very, very vulnerable when she doesn't have her abilities.
10
SAW He is one of the scariest heroes to play against, his auto attacks out range yours, and he can do massive amounts of damage. A trick to use against SAW, in early game lane, is to poke him with your Resonance. You can mark minions with Resonance and attack the minion to get the Resonance to bounce onto SAW. Hopefully, this scares him and prevents him from farming. But if he builds health and armor, there is almost nothing you can do but hope your teammates can kill him.

Baron Although he can possibly deal a lot of damage, he is slow, squishy, has no serious cc abilities. and all his damage abilities are skill shots. Vox will destroy this kid. Even in team fights, Baron can barely do anything to Vox. Just kill him if he gets near you. Don't even be scared because he is so weak against you.

1
Petal Naturally, you out damage her, so there's not much to be afraid of. Kill her is she gets close to you.

Skye All her abilities are easy to dodge, and even if she lands her abilities, they don't even do that much damage. Naturally, she doesn't out damage you, so just kill her if she even tries to get near you. Don't be scared of her. NOTE: Her ULT ability will stun you if you get caught in the initiation of the ability (it doesn't stun after the initiation of the barrage).
2
Adagio Not really much of a problem. He has a very strong heal, but your Poison Shiv should shut that heal down. The only thing you should worry about is getting stunned by his ULT ability (you would only get stunned if you get caught in his ULT ability and you are set on fire by his Arcane Fire).
2
Ardan Try to not get caught in force field he creates because it will limit your ability to kite. Otherwise, you should be fine.

Alpha Her damage output early game is very high so avoid fighting her in the early game as the damage she can do could potentially win a 1v2. She doesn’t have any serious cc abilities except a small slow so you really don’t have to worry about any stuns. Basically, just don't fight her early game or it will cause her to snowball into late game.

Churnwalker A very dangerous tank because all his abilities have cc. His A ability slows, his B ability pulls, and his ULT ability stuns. All his abilities are based around his hooks, if he hooks you, don't ignore it because he can pull you in towards him, stun you, and his hooks deal small amounts damage in ticks. The ticks of damage may come in small amounts but if you add it all up, its a pretty good amount damage. I would've put Churnwalker higher on the scale, but you don't usually run into many GOOD Churnwalker players. If you DO run into a good Churnwalker player, make sure to not get hooked by him, but if you do get hooked either break the hook by running far enough away from him or get ready for his cc abilities.

Blackfeather Very mobile; I mean VERY mobile. He can dash to you with his A ability, and his B ability can slow you and it's nearly spammable, not to mention his ULT ability gives him 2 extra dashes. Very hard to fight against, the way I try to fight him is obviously to kite, and most importantly try to juke his B abilities by going side to side

Taka Taka has very high burst potential. If he builds crystal power he can probably take out half your health bar in a matter of moments. That't not all though, once he takes out half your health bar, he can disappear and you won't even get a chance to fight him. The only chance you have of fighting back is to tell your captain to buy vision items and hope that they can reveal Taka when he disappears. This will give you a fighting chance. Use your B ability to figure out where Taka is when he disappears.

Introduction Top

Hello, my name is DragonbornVG, I have played Vainglory since Season 0, and this is my guide to Vox. Vox is one of my goto heroes because of how he can carry his entire team all by himself. He will almost always be in the meta, the way he is so mobile gives him the ability to make plays no other hero can make. Both WP and CP Vox can be a powerful and very scary hero if you can play him correctly and skillfully, but WP and CP Vox each have their own playstyles. CP Vox is a sideline Crystal Power Carry, WP Vox is a mobile, outplaying, kiting god. A lot of work has been put into this guide and it will teach you the basics of playing as Vox, and give you some good tips, all from years of personal experience. Most importantly, when I say "from experience", I seriously mean 2 years of experience on Vox.

NOTE: This guide is incomplete; I am still working on this, and when it’s complete, it will be the godliest Vox guide with everything you need to know (seriously, not joking). ;)
INCOMPLETE SECTIONS
-Threats
-Item Build Explanations
-Hero Synergies
-How To Correctly Use Abilities
-Important Notes About Vox (how to kite, how to draft, special tips, etc)

Vox's Abilities Top

Heroic Perk: Julia's Song

Vox's abilities mark enemies with Resonance. When basic attacking enemies with Resonance, bolts will bounce outwards to two nearby enemies dealing crystal damage and refreshing and spreading Resonance. (Resonance bounces deal decreased damage to minions.)

-Only Vox's B and Ultimate abilities can mark enemies with Resonance
-Really only useful for CP Vox builds

A Ability: Sonic Zoom

Vox dashes in the targeted direction, throwing two basic attacks that deal a percentage of weapon power to the nearest enemy marked by Resonance (prioritizing heroes).

-Great for getting in a good position during a team fight or for kiting
-You don't have to dash back or forth, you can dash to the side if you want to just get some basic
attacks out
-You can go over some walls with this ability

B Ability: Pulse

Vox emits a sonic pulse that echoes off nearby enemies and applies Resonance. The pulse applies a slow that is significantly stronger near its center and lasts for a certain amount of time (amount of time is subject to change). Each upgrade to Pulse increases the damage of Vox's bouncing attacks to enemy heroes.

-Great for slowing enemies, the slow might not seem like a lot, but a slow is a slow
-If you are chasing an enemy, use your A ability to get closer before using this ability to slow them
-You can use this ability to check if an enemy is inside a bush

Ultimate Ability: Wait for it

Vox fires an ultrasonic wave that deals crystal damage and applies Resonance to enemies in its path and refreshes all Resonance. Shortly after, a wide shockwave explodes along the same path, dealing crystal damage and silencing enemies. Striking enemy heroes with the shockwave will also cause Resonance to bounce.

-Can be a great way of countering an ambush because the damage will reveal hidden enemies and the
silence will stop them from using abilities to burst you
-Try to hit as many enemies (including minions and creeps) because it will deal a lot more damage due to
the bolts that bounce

Ability Upgrade Order Top

You should always upgrade your B ability first as it gives you many advantages
-Lets you slow enemies
-Lets you mark lane minions with Resonance and that allows you to poke the enemy laner with the bolts
that bounce out
-It increases your overall damage output

Taking your A ability second is an obvious choice because it will let you dash around

Max your B ability as quickly as possible
-The overdrive increases the damage from the bolts that bounce out by a massive amount of crystal power (around 40 to 60) (the amount is subject to change) (this increases your overall damage output by a lot)
-The overdrive also decreases the cooldown from the constant cooldown without the overdrive (Ex. 2 sec. cooldown at level 1->4 to 1 sec. cooldown at level 5 overdrive) and increases the
slow a lot

Upgrade your ultimate ability to the second level after maxing out your B ability
-It will bring your ultimate ability cooldown to less than a minute, which will be very good, as team
fights start to occur more often
-Can be a great way of countering an ambush because the damage will reveal hidden enemies and the
silence will stop them from using abilities to burst you

Put next 2 points into A ability

NOTE: This is the point where the upgrade sequence differs depending on the playstyle; choose the one you are using.

Weapon Power Vox path

Use your final point to max your A ability
-The overdrive increases the 2 bolts that Vox throws from the constant percentage of weapon power to a higher percentage of weapon power (Ex. 1% at level 1->4 to 2% at level 5 overdrive)

From experience, this ability upgrade sequence is most effective on WP Vox.

Crystal Power Vox Path

Use your final point to max your ultimate ability
-Gives you an extra 100 crystal power damage which is great in general.

From experience, this ability upgrade sequence is most effective on CP Vox.

Build Order to Core/Main Items Top

Starting Items
Swift Shooter
Swift Shooter will give you slightly more attack speed so that you can last hit minions a lot better.

Book of Eulogies
Book of Eulogies will give you a small amount of life steal and it heals you everytime you kill a minion or monster. This will help you stay in a lane a lot longer.

Core/Must Have [IMPORTANT MUST READ]
Breaking Point
Breaking Point is one of the best items you can give to Vox. It synergizes very well with Vox since he can kite so well, he can survive a long time in battle, which in turn allows Breaking Point to stack up. A Breaking Point at 15 stacks gives 155 weapon power which is already more weapon power than the 150 weapon power that a Sorrow Blade can give, and you can still stack up 10 more times to have a total of 305 weapon power. That's more damage than 2 Sorrow Blades. Yes, stacking up is not easy, even on Vox. You lose 3 stacks every

Poison Shiv
Poison Shiv is an overall good item on Vox. It gives Vox lifesteal and attack speed, two of the best stats Vox could have. Both those stats help Vox with kiting. Lifesteal will heal Vox while he is kiting (it's really good for some clutch kiting plays), and attack speed allows vox to pull off attacks faster so that he can deal more damage while kiting.

Halcyon Chargers
Halcyon Chargers gives Vox the
