I don't play this hero on any off chance. Especially in three man deathmatch. The two supporting players must be timely or posses single target burst damage. The chances of meeting this requirement are null randomly.
Use his ultimate offensively; it has 1.5 multiplier. Hook last and stun first; your opponent cannot calculate this.
Spellfire changes the damage type; Broken Myth will augment magic damage for 250+ combo, just on B. His B spell has 0.75 mitigation.
When playing slightly out of position. Weapon power will surprise your opponents. The opposing team will underestimate your physical damage; this will net kills (from DF perk on consequetive hits).
Use B spell as a counter attack; it becomes highly effective. If you interrupt any combo, such as Krul's bladespin combo, then you win the teamfight, and this nets kills.
Yates is a very powerful hero. His attack speed only stops him from dominating. Do not buy boots. Kill the creepwave until minute 2:39. Do not perform anything early game.
You should outmanoeuvre the opposition, until midgame. With those items, combo your spells and kill the weakest hero. This will deprocess your opponents lategame. Generally, you have less items to farm, so suspend the enemy farmer.
Play logically and with expenditure, do not play empirically. Yates is primarily a defensive hero, which decreases team engagement, so posteriorly you must go offensively.
All wp heroes play better with crystal items. Yates then inverts this again and greatly performs with weapon power.
Every player possesses an archetype argument; this is very difficult to defeat, but can be done over time and hierarchy. Remembering that every player has an estimate of the statistics. A mathematical argument could empirically reach 2k, but that is near impossible. Cleaving this is only physical; then you lose empirically.
Lastly; I recommend off-meta heroes. Do not play jungle, and you will climb. I go on winstreaks but lose from leaving and flaming. No rank points are lost, but you lose morale. I have defeated Krul and Phin; a bunch of times. So some synergy is required.
