Idris is a burst assassin capable of taking down carries in a flash, and escape loads of damage. This build will cover what to build and how to play him efficiently.
I main Idris and have won a lot of games with him so I wanted to share my play style and how I find success with Idris.
My Idris Montage (for inspiration and to show off)
Laning with Idris is pretty simple. Stay in your side of lane and be aware of your health.
Book of Eulogies
Book of eulogies is necessary for laning because in early game, before you can start terrorizing the other laner, you'll be taking a lot of damage so it's necessary to keep your health up with book of eulogies.
Chakram
Your B ability provides poke damage to keep the enemy laner at risk and to secure minion kills from far away, out of range of the other laner's basic attacks.
Shroudstep
Your A ability, early game would be used for mini dives. Dive into the enemy laner and poke them with the amplified damage hit.
Divergent Paths
To unlock your full potential, you need to reach either 125 WP or 125 CP. Getting to 125 Weapon Power turns your puny roll into an instant blink!
The easiest way to get this is to buy 2x Heavy Steel and a Weapon Blade.
Sorrowblade
This should be your first item, but don't rush only this one item! Look above for the faster way to unlock your Divergent Paths passive.
Breaking Point
Your A and B deal massive Weapon damage allowing you to accumulate breaking point stacks. This easily melts roamers and will delete carries instantly.
Tension Bow
Tension bow makes your A ability deal tons of damage.
Journey Boots
Journey boots to catch up to fleeing enemies and apply the final blow.
Alternate Items
Bonesaw
Useful for enemies who are stacking armor.
Serpent Mask
In my opinion, it is not a core item for Idris but it definitely gives you the lifesteal you need.
Poisoned Shiv
Destroys Krul, Ozo, and any team with a Lyra or Adagio. Poisoned shiv applies mortal wounds which decrease healing on that hero to 33%!
Idris in an assassin, so focusing the enemy carry or that annoying petal is the way to go.
Chakram
Before you dive into the carry with your A ability, stay far away from the fight and poke enemies with your B ability. You can throw this chakram into bushes to check if enemies are hiding. If you successfully hit an enemy, your stamina will regen and spike up.
Remember: use this ability often because of how quickly it regen and how much damage it does. Don't be afraid to miss and hit roamers if you want to regain stamina or build up Breaking Point stacks.
Shroudstep
Initiate fights with your A to get your barrier health and to do massive damage with your Tension Bow. Follow up with basic attacks or use your ult on fleeing enemies.
Shimmer Strike
Use your ult to follow fleeing enemies, or to flee yourself. You can ult on top of a teammate and have your roamer fountain you, then rejoin the battle or jump away to safety.
Shimmerstrike can be used to avoid most ults and avoid massive amounts of damage, then in return dealing massive damage to the enemies.
