Early game (starting Items) Top
At this time game just started. Buying your double weapon blades makes you strong early game. The only threat at this level is lack of vision. so stealth Heroes such as Taka has an advantage though stealthy you can still kill them. Do not early rush by yourself having your roam or all of your members will guarantee an early game kill.
4 Minute Mark and your next item Top
Around the 4 minute mark you should have gathered enough gold to buy Sarrow Blade. Again this makes you deal more damage than the enemy can take so early game aggression is key. Snag a lane kill if you can. As Alpha in this build gold lead is a must and if you do not have enough gold to get Sarrow blade by minute 4, when the shop opens up, then stick to the jungle until you do. You should focus on tornado as your next item so minions foot and swift shooter are your next buys.
Once you know your enemies builds Top
As you should already know counter building is KEY to any matches made in VainGlory. Once you know what your enemy is building towards, be it WP or CP, focus on the threat of there team. Your defense item should only be bought according to who you are dying by the most. If you haven't died yet then focus on who has the most kills as they will have been most fed with gold. Now only buy the armor your up against do not buy both. That means Aegis for crystal and avoiding stuns. Only buy Atlas if they have Attack speed items otherwise Metal jacket. Once you have enough gold after buying your defense item. Focus towards the tension bow as your 4th item. The Tension Bow has amazing burst damage. Which is outstanding when comboed with Alphas B ability. after you buy the Tension Bows T2 item, Piercing Spear, upgrade your defense item to T2. then finish the tension bow.
14 Minute mark Top
The Kraken has awaken, and you have bagged a few kills and allot of gold. Now is when you start putting the hurt on the enemy. Sell your Healing flask and start building the Tyrant's Monocle as your 5th item. The extra Critical from this item comboed with tornado critical and burst damage from the tension bow is so massive your enemy will start to flee as soon as they engage. *TIP* Try to get at least two kills before starting the Kraken. if you cant get the early kraken Do not worry. Just focus on completing your armor after the Monocle has been completed. You should be able to solo Kraken at full health when the Monocle is finished. Always keep your gold up so you can buy the Weapon infusion if you need to.
Only 5 Items!?!?!? Top
Yes only 5 items by now you have completed the core build the 6th item is situational. cant get that last hit in because they flee to fast? buy boots. Still weak to a certain hero or need to also be defensive against the other type of power? buy another defense item. Or maybe you are so far ahead and you want to just want to do more damage. I recommend A Breaking Point as it adds attack speed and bonus WP damage per hit. this extra Item spot is for you to explore as well so make this build your own and GLHF!
