To start off I personally think that Idris is better as the jungle role, but this build can be used for both lane and jungle, keep in mind this build is to pressure the enemy carry. This guide will purely focus on the jungler position.
Idris is a very versatile hero, but can very easily be countered by other heroes, because of his in capability of getting away from securing kills. He's easily trapped in the moshpit of team fights in which he'll die first if you're not careful. To combat this, the crystal power in his perk (divergent paths) will help him stay at the edge of team fights, secure kills, and he'll be able to poke at enemies, but the problem with this is that he'll need atleast 125 crystal power in order to obtain he's crystal path, this will result in him having to prioritize crystal depending on his situation. I'd recommend overdriving his chakram ability to milk more damage out of him.
Tip: if you didn't know already The armor items (metal jacket, and atlas Pauldron) will be more effective in defense against weapon power users, and The shield items (Aegis, and Fountain of Renewal) are more effective on taking on crystal power users
Idris's divergent paths perk, also has a weapon power perk which allows his first ability (shroudstep) to give him the ability to teleport through team fights and escaping enemies. This ability allows a defense buff on Idris, if he has not been damaged in the last few seconds. Allowing him to fight longer fights. This ability also grants a damage boost for the next basic attack after he uses shroudstep. This ability will be good for bursting down enemies who have little to no defense, getting away from danagerous ultimates, and gives a long-lasting defense boost of more than a few seconds. I'd recommend overdriving (maxing out) this ability to use it to its full extent.
With this new current update you'd want to help Idris gain as much gold and experience as possible, for that you must take the early jungle monster in the mid-jungle every second it comes up, and finish up all farm. When possible.
His shroudstep is very important in securing deadly attacks, To combo with idris I recommend first throwing the chakram ability in your desired direction, shroudstep in the same direction the second before the chakram returns, then at the second time before the chakram returns use shimmer strike moving in the opposite direction of the chakram. This will result in the chakram hitting the target 2-3 times if you're lucky 4, this combo will take some time to practice and perfect
