KITING GUIDE Top
Usually a kiter is playing as Ringo, but can be done with any ranged characters. SAW is not recommended for kiting unless SAW is using explosive rounds.
WHAT IS KITING:
Kiting is taking very small steps and attacking the enemy at the same time. This allows you to keep your distance while attacking melee characters. You cannot kite ranged characters for obvious reasons. Kiting is also a useful strategy against a melee only team. Boots are required, Travel boots or better is recommended.
HOW TO KITE:
Kiting is not as easy as it seems, which is why there aren't many kiters. Again, kiting requires taking a small step and attacking. This can be practiced without actually kiting. If you want to kite immediantly, first find an enemy chasing you. This is usually a hero. Run away from the enemy and use Twirling Silver. Next, shoot the enemy, but then after you pressed on the enemy hero, press to where you want to go. If you are a very fast tapper like me, tap on the enemy and tap towards the direction you want to go. Kiting is very satisfying for you but not for the enemy. If this is done correctly, Ringo will shoot the enemy, but his gun will be silent.
HOW TO PRACTICE KITING:
If you know how to harass an enemy, which is usually shooting an enemy and then running away, then you have the main technique for kiting. Try harassing, then when it comes down to the actual moment, pretend that you're harassing the enemy, but do it quick. *NOTE, KITING CAN BE DONE WITHOUT TWIRLING SILVER.

Setup & Support Top
So, you want to kite/play as a kiter? Then read ahead. Kiters can't kite ASAP; this guide will get you started on kiting.
Start with a weapon blade, it will turn into a Tension Bow. Hopefully you did start with twirling silver, as it will be your escape. Get gold, yada yada, but remember to harass the enemy. If you can sucessfully do this, you are one step closer to kiting.
To harass, shoot at an enemy, then quickly run back. This is the main technique used in kiting, only done really fast. Support your allies by quickly shooting your enemies with an Achillies shot. This will slow down the enemy, and do damage at the same time. Slow down your enemy at critical moments, and your team will score a kill.
Midgame & Jungle Top
4 minutes into the game, mining will begin. However, 2 minutes later will usually have a near full gold mine and captured minion mines. By this time, you should have a Tension Bow. It can be exchanged with Six Sins, Piercing Spear, and 600 gold. Tension bow gives +180 damage to your next basic attack every six seconds, so if you deal 50 damage regularly, you will deal 230 damage every 6 seconds. Besides the obvious support, experienced players can start kiting now because of Frostburn, and inexperienced players can kite later if they want to. This requires boots, a Tension bow, and a Blazing Salvo. You will be able to score many kills if you kite correctly. The Jungle is a great place to kite, as there are many straight paths. Beware of the bushes however. Also, please note Kiting does not work on any miner, nor does it work on the Kraken. Less fortunate monsters, however, can be kited. Your kiting has to be very well because if you aren't, you could either get hit, or let the monster catch up to you. If the monster catches up to you, buy boots or run further away as in a battle against a hero, you will be damaged/killed if an enemy hero catches up to you. It is okay to take 1 or 2 hits from a monster in the jungle as they are leashed.
12:00 - Endgame Top
There's not much to explain, other than Tyrant's Monucle somehow gains power near the end of a game. Besides that, a Sorrowblade can be switched with any other item if needed
Besides that, HAPPY KITING!
Oh, and read the in-depth weapon analyize for explanation.
ITEMS AND WHY YOU NEED THEM: Top
Tension Bow: Required. It makes you deal a fair amount of damage every 6 seconds. Should be the first thing you go for.
Boots: Required. Should be the third thing you go for, as things will start to heat up by that time. Boots allow you to keep your distance.
Tornado Trigger/Frostburn: Either two should be the second thing you go for, as a Tornado Trigger assures you land more hits while kiting, but Frostburn assures you distance from you and your enemy. Both are required from 12:00 to Endgame.
Sorrowblade/Preferred item: Sorrowblade makes sure you do good damage when you kite, or even kill an enemy. If needed, sell out the Sorrowblade for whatever you want. Breaking Point is a good replacement, but not effective since you won't be kiting ALL the time.
Tyrant's Monocule: Who wouldn't love 30% more critical damage and chance? This should be last, because by the end of the game, you'll deal 400-800 damage with a Double Down and Tension bow. You can get one when needed however.
