My First Dance with Ringo Top
My initial thought of Ringo was that he was not that great of a character.I'd normally play Glaive with a raw damage build and taking out Ringos with it was pretty easy. I never really noticed him as a real threat. But when Rona came along Glaive started to get watered down, being the jungler was not really working out for me and people were claiming Glaive before I got the chance (I also desperately needed a ranged character). I tried out Saw but his slowness effect always got me killed. There was Skaarf Petal and Celeste but I did not get the same feeling that I did when Glaive was at his prime. Skye was not out yet so... yeah. Then there was Ringo. I started a match without a set plan. Naturally I converted my Glaive build to fit Ringo. My energy was not depleting too fast so batteries are out. Certain characters could deal a ton of damage to me so lets throw another defensive item. We were on our last turret with half health while the opposing team had nearly maxed theirs. They already claimed the Kraken and we killed it at about our second turret so it had to take time to respawn. By then I top teired all of my items and started to lane. I encountered the enemy Glaive, slowed him and managed to finish him off with TS without a scratch. A team fight broke out near the Kraken spawn so I ran and helped out. Amazingly we were able to take out the opposing Krul and Koshka with ease. We then continued to push the lane while they respawned, onece they did we killed them off again. Rinse and repeat this a few time and we pulled the greatest comeback I have ever acheived. I finished the match with 21 kills, 3 deaths, 5 assists, 114 finishing blows on minions and accumulated 10,381 gold.
The Build Top
The abilities max out on Twirling Silver and Hellfire Brew and leave Achilles Shot partially unfinished. It's a well rounded build that focuses on basic attack damage (also affects Twirling Silver) and has a very high defensive count. It's not heavy on side effects like other builds are with items like Tension Bow or Reflex Block item but it's simple yet extremely effective. You start off with your first reccomended item and two Halcyon Potions, you then transition to the second teir of attack speed and basic damage items along with first teir sheild and armor and a cooldown item with the option on third teir boots if speed is required. Your final form consists of your items in their final teir. Reflex Block comes with Aegis Sheild so that is an added bonus.
Tips On How To Use Ringo In General Top
When attacking an enemy it is wise to TS whenever possible. If they try to run slow them with Achilles Shot and catch up to them with Boots or the added speed given by TS. If they are out of firing range activate Hellfire Brew and spew a giant mass of burning liquor at them, it the initial splash does not kill them it's burn effect can finish them off. When taking out a group of Minions or forcefully disassembling an enemy turret always use TS it can help out a lot. If the enemy team is attempting to claim the Kraken, wait within the nearby brush and activate Hellfire brew a few seconds before it dies. If you spat too early run in with Twirling Silver, the speed from it and the continuous burn can help to get the final blow on it. A quick warning, steer clear of Lifesteal items they are very affective against you. Also this last one applies to any character and any build, don't claim the Gold Mine immediately after the enemy does. Wait until it's atleast 3 quarters full and then go to claim it. It saves us the time of defending it while we do other important tasks.
If you don't want to read the other 3 chapters, read this for a quick overveiw. It's not as interesting and not even close to as helpful as the rest though. Top
This is the perfect build for the new player trying to get the hang of Vain Glory, the slightly competitive gamer who is trying to get an edge against opponents or even the dead serious MOBA lover looking for a well rounded build. This build excels in the basic combat necessities. Speed, Damage and Defense. Don't expect to be able to take on Skye, Phinn and Rona at the same time (Please message me if you have managed to do that)but you have a pretty good chance to kill them off one by one. This build works best while in the lane but can prove useful in any situation. For beefy strengh type opponents I suggest slowing them then hitting them with Twirling Silver. For light weight speed type opponents I TS them and slow them while they try to dash away, if they manage to slip beyond my shooting range Hellfire Brew can finish them off. When taking on a group of minions or breaking down a turret Twirling Silver works amazingly. Teamwork is best with fast character such as Koska, while you slow them down and lay pot shots at them Koska can run after them and finish them off. Since the creation of this build my wins have increased greatly. I have pulled major comebacks with this build and I have even scored 21 kills to 3 deaths whith it. I guarantee you will enjoy using this guide.
