By the first moment of the game you should get a Crystal Bit and head off lane if your a pro player who loves to gank and get the first blood i sudgest hiding in the grass and wait for the other team laner to come out first and gank them. Buy a energy battery if you are facing high damage dealers such as SAW or Ringo and your first priority in lane is to farm as much gold as possible.If you are supporting your allies in jungle buy a Iron Guard Contract and help them farm but make sure to not steal the jungle camps minion with your Fire Ball.

By mid game you are starting to get powerful and deathly, still you must be sneaky since your still fragile, keep on going out lane and pushing the lane also spread some mines all over lane if you can so you could ganks and be aware of enemy heroes trying to gank you. If your team is going for the gold mine join them cause your burst damage is high which help your team to catpture the gold mine much faster. Avoid your teamate of getting into a battle specialy if your enemy has a taka cause he will definately going to kill you first, but if there will be a team fight at that time do not head out first because your still fragile, hide in some brushes and try to hit your enemy Æ°ith Fire Ball in a far distance it will help your team of wining the battle with your burst damage.

This is really helpful if you are getting caught by Taka:
If a taka caught you hiding in some brushes try to hit him first with your Fire Ball and kill him as quickly as possible use flares or drop a mine if he uses Kaku.In cause you are not good at handling a Taka, atleast get a supporting Hero near you when heading down jungle or lane, Taka is deathly but he's as fragile as you are so a catherine whill help you alot when battling him, first Taka will use either Kaku or X-Retsu depends on his level if he's reaching level 5 he will use Kaku when ganking you if he is at level 6 he will use X-Retsu( Really deathly for X-Restu but keep on attacking him even if you are low on HP) when he attacked you signal your supporting ally heroes that is waiting for that gank in the brushes.If Catherine she will use her stun at taka then you will spit your Fire Ball at him and try to low his HP as much as possible and it's a great job for you if you could kill taka by the time he ganked you.
If Ardan he will use his barrier at you which gives you additional HP for quite some time just enough for you to kill him or lowing his HP.
And if you don't have a Supporting ally or if he/she is busy in jungle use ur Sprint shoes and flee away.

For Hybrid buil, watch what the enemy heroes are building if they builds lots of Damage items buy Armors items, if Crystal buy Shields items. For support items i recomend Crucible or Fountain of Renewable since they gives your teamates both cover effects and potion healing effects.

By this time your crystal power is really powerful even if your enemy is building up alot of shields.You are starting to become a Flamethrower ready to kill any one that is in your vision, for this late game tip i don't know what to give you guys but this is how i fight using skaarf:
1.Spit your Fire Ball in brushes that you think there will be enemy heroes in it, by this you should either scare them away or deals some damage into them
2.Once your team has started team fighting tries to stay away at some deathly assasin such as Taka cause you are still fragile( exxept if you going for some defences items such as Metal Jacket or Crucible you could join the fight whenever you wana to) spit Fire Ball at the enemy team and drop Goop to decrease their HP, if taka attacks you from behind with his X-Retsu don't panic tell your suporter to help you (Ardan gives you shield, Catherine use her stuns) run away for a small distance and spit your Goop to slow taka down then finish him with your Fire Ball or Ultimate.
3.Once Taka is down help your teamate with the other two remaining enemy heroes you could either use your Ultimate at them which gives you a Double Kill or decrease their HP with your Fire Ball.
