Basic Wp Glaive play style Top
Be aggressive, like really aggressive, but don't get caught up on anything. Try to be in the middle of team fights, as you deal a lot of AoE damage. When engaging, try to pick out the most fragile member of the enemy team with your afterburn, unless there is a specific threat to you, a Skye for example.

Be even more aggressive than with the basic build and don't be afraid of taking on tanky, damage dealing heroes, such as Reim, Rona, Krul or Ozo, as you depend on tanky enemies to build up your stacks. Try to build up breaking point stacks before the beginning of a fight, for example, when the enemy roamer checks your brush or wants to put a mine there, try to put as many hits on him as possible, without bringing yourself into danger, so that when the team fight starts, you already have a few stacks.

Your primary damage will be your A, so use it wisely. Try to jump through as many enemies as you can and stun away the most dangerous/hardest to kill of the enemy team. Every enemy you jump across will receive between 400 and 650 crystal damage. Try fighting above and below the tri-brushes, as the enemy team will be very concentrated together there and will usually be standing in a line, perfect for your afterburn. Try to have as many stacks as possible on your Ultimate, as the full number of stacks (20) will deal IMMENSE damage in the thousands! Try to use your ultimate to hit more than one person at a time, as it deals full damage to everyone in a 5.4 meter radius.
How to use your A (Afterburn) Top
This is your primary engage, so DON'T F*** IT UP!!! Make sure that your team is there to back you up, as almost always the afterburn will put you in an unfortunate position. Try to stun your target into a wall or in the direction of your team/tower and if necessary use your boots to do so, as a failed afterburn often results in a failed team fight. DO NOT use this ability for leveling EVER, because you will need it in the next team fight and it costs quite a bit of energy.
(A nifty little trick): Try timing your B and the next basic attack after your afterburn simultaneously for DOUBLE DAMAGE!
How to use your B (Twisted Stroke) Top
This one is fairly simple. This is basically a critical strike. Use it primarily in the double minion camps, to surprise enemies with a burst of damage or to get that tiny bit of extra range to finish off a fleeing enemy, as Glaive's critical strikes cleave in a 3,4-meter cone in front of him.
How to use your Ultimate (Bloodsong) Top
This 5,4-meter AoE damage is useful for catching fleeing enemies if your afterburn is still on cooldown. Note that it also gives you life steal per stack, up to a max of 20 stacks, which roughly translates into 19% weapon life steal at max stacks. This makes it reasonable not to use this at the beginning of a fight as that life steal can come in pretty handy. The damage dealt by this ability also increases the more stacks you have, so it makes sense to use it with as many stacks as possible. Stacks are added by basic attacking.

You will usually be using the last one of these, simply because it only occurs very rarely, that people don't build defense against you.
