Threat Hero Notes
1
  No Threat
2
SAW Catch him before his guns are full speed, dodge his firing path and he's an easy kill.
3
Petal Hitting a moving target can be tricky at first, but Petal doesn't stand a chance against your sharp claws. Get in close and shred this fern.
4
Ringo Early to Mid game Ringo is an easy target for ganking in the lane. But an unexpected 1v1 or getting hit with his ultimate late game will not end well for Koshka.
5
Koshka Respect the kitty, but crush her if you can. PF -> TD -> YCF
6
Celeste Her range makes her dangerous, but if you catch her in the right spot - she'll go down.
7
Joule She can pounce too, not in a good way and her ultimate can drain all your health quickly. Use your speed to your advantage.
7
Flicker It's unlikely you'll ever catch Flicker 1v1, but this hero will annoy the crap out of you. If the hair on your neck is standing up, run... Flicker and team are coming for you.
8
Rona Her ultimate can be devastating and with lifesteal items you'll be toast.
9
Catherine Avoid this other Cat unless you know you can kill her. Her shield and health are too much.
9
Skaarf Don't underestimate Skaarf! This fat floating blob looks so irresistible but it's a trick, Skaarf is deadly and can quickly rain fire down on you or flee in a blink of an eye. Particularly deadly to you in team fights.
10
Krul Not a good 1v1 choice, in a teamfight lead with YCF to stun him and hope your team pitches in. Be 100% sure you can kill him or he'll turn on you.
10
Glaive Too much burst to mess with, a good Glaive will shut you down every time.

Summary Top

This build is designed for fast farming, in your face power, and the ultimate pounce and kill hero. This is not meant to be a team fight Koshka, but rather enhance her natural abilities as a stealthy assassin. There are three options to start with depending on how you like to play or whom you're playing with. I prefer the Speed start for the extra speed and damage which lets me clear the jungle quickly, but sometimes I go Health if I anticipate providing more support to the lane. If you like to use your abilities often, then Energy start. Feel free to mix and match these items to suit your gameplay.

NOTE: This is my first guide. I detest long-winded, statistic-heavy, never-ending bloviating guides claiming to be the best. This is not that, I've been playing a few weeks and Koshka was my first hero that I got really comfortable with. Enjoy the tips.

General Gameplay Top

This section applies to any hero you play but should be paid attention to by beginners. There is nothing more annoying than losing matches because someone doesn't know the basics.
  • Jungle farms gold, ganks lane, protects the Carry
  • Carry farms the lane, knows how to use team, calls for support when needed. Help draw weak heroes to gank positions.
  • Roam supports Jungle/Carry, usually Jungle in the beginning. Should be careful not to steal kills from Carry who needs them to build (like ) and focus on keeping Carry alive. Same for supporting jungle, don't steal health from Jungle hero (like ) by killing big minions.
  • Let your team play their role.
  • Losing the gold mine is NO BIG DEAL. It's 300 gold when maxed, oh well. Don't rush down there to get ambushed by the enemy team.
  • Know when to go for the gold mine or Krakken. Rushing to the Krakken prematurely will often end with the enemy team sniping the kill and Acing your team. If the Krakken is up, wait until you Ace the opponent to take it out.
  • Use the scoreboard. You can see how the enemy is building and counter. Also, you can see the cooldown when you kill them. This is really useful when you go for the Krakken.

Tips Top

  • Pounce, Twirl, Basic, Dodge, Repeat
  • Head to the farthest minion camp on your side first. This will prevent early steals of your coin.
  • After the first camp is down, peak across to the same camp on the other side and determine if you can make a quick steal.
  • Every time your farm rotation is completed, head to the lane to support your Carry hero. Even early in the game you'll get easy ganks.
  • Large solo minions provide health, use them wisely.
  • Farm whenever you can, gank whenever you can, avoid 1v1 until your power is up.
  • Avoid 1v1 unless you can kill, or hit and run.
  • Be patient! Hiding in the grass is only worth it when you get the kill. Go too early, the enemy gets away.
  • But sometimes a well placed followed by a can buy enough time to let your teammate escape.
  • If your team isn't dropping mines/flares, don't be afraid to grab them in the shop. Nothing worse than getting ganked unexpectedly.
  • Use markers from the HUD to show your team where you want them to go so you can position setup a kill. Don't assume that because your team sees you hiding that they know your range.
  • Improvise! If you're getting worked over, pick up some defense items.
  • is very cool, but resist the urge unless the enemy is fleeing or you are 100% sure you can kill them.
  • Hit or right before you use . Your finisher is cool, but it also leaves you vulnerable.
  • Later in the game, stop farming and stick with your team --- they need you and you'll be getting enough ambient gold to fund your build. Teams are more effective at controlling the lane, the jungle, and the entire map.
  • Target the low-defense heroes when you gank or team fight. You aren't going to do well if you go after the tank.
  • Be aware of what is around you when you hit . Triggering a minion when battling an enemy is only going to help your enemy kill you faster.
  • Watch the mini-map.

Strategy Top

There are a couple of ways things can go for you, if all goes well you'll get the win. Your first goal is to level Koshka as fast as you can. She is deadly to many heroes early in the game and you need a few levels advantage. Once they catch up, things get harder. I like to rush and then to give her some massive burst damage and built-in healing. = awesomeness

If your team leaves you solo in the jungle, clear the jungle quickly, repeat, repeat. It's key that your team controls the lane. If they do, you'll be at lv6 and not have returned to the shop yet! Load up on goodies and go deal some real damage.

If things don't go smoothly, adjust priorities on the fly, help your team when needed - and wait for your moments. If you aren't dying go for but if you are getting killed then go after and .
