2
Vox Really just not a big threat to Ardan imo.
2
Catherine Catherine's threat level is just low for the most part when playing Ardan unless you don't keep your health one of your top priorities
3
Adagio When you're teamed up with somebody playing Adagio, your team is practically unstoppable. So if you aren't playing Ardan and somebody else is, play Adagio. DO IT.
3
Petal Petal just isn't really a threat to him at all unless she's with other characters.
4
SAW To other characters, SAW is a big threat, but for some reason Ardan doesn't have a lot of trouble avoiding him.
4
Fortress Fortress isn't a huge threat, but I'd still remain careful because it depends on who is playing them.
5
Skaarf Skaarf is easy to avoid, but more of a nuisance when trying to attack
5
Koshka The 'Stun' move ALWAYS gets me. You can try to beat her by yourself, but imo you should be with another team member when trying to defeat her.
5
Ringo The only reason Ringo is a nuisance is because of his ranged abilities. He can attack you, but if you try to attack him, he can retreat behind the turrets and then attack you again.
6
Ardan If you're playing Ardan, you know what the opposing Ardan is capable of.
7
Taka I've had so much bad luck playing against Taka. The sneakiness really packs a punch. If the opposing team has Taka, stay near your turrets and defend them.
8
Joule Depending on the player, Joule's threat can range from nothing to WOWEE OP JOULE.
8
Glaive Glaive is just one of those characters you'll need to team up against to defeat, so don't try to battle Glaive by yourself unless you've spent all your gold on health and weapon strength and nothing else.
9
Celeste Celeste just has that ONE ability that destroys Ardan
10
Krul Krul has the ability to regenerate health, so attacking him doesn't do much as Ardan unless he's under one bar of health

Threat Hero Notes
1
Petal Petal just isn't really a threat.
1
Vox Vox is still not a threat to Ardan.
2
Celeste Goodness who uses a jungle Celeste.
3
Adagio I don't usually see hardly anybody using Adagio in the jungle unless they're not alone.
3
Ringo Again, Ringo's ranged abilities are just annoying for a melee character such as Ardan.
4
Catherine I've seen a lot of jungle Catherines. Still not a very big threat, but be careful.
4
SAW Not a lot of jungle SAWs, but if your trying to kill a miner and you're on low health, he can slow you down with one of his abilities and make your health go down faster.
5
Skaarf Skaarf has the ability to spew a flammable liquid that you can get stuck in when trying to kill a miner.
6
Ardan Again, an opposing Ardan is predictable for the most part. There aren't a lot of people using him in the jungle.
6
Koshka Koshka can stun you and then kill you when you aren't looking, so use caution.
7
Fortress Fortress is a nuisance in the jungle. Definitely avoid them.
8
Joule Joule is used in the jungle a lot and can kill you easily, but her attacks are easy to avoid if you're ready.
9
Taka Taka is sneaky and sneaks up on you when you're trying to kill a minion miner; taking the final blow and stealing the mine.
10
Glaive Again, Glaive is the one character you really need to avoid at all costs.
10
Krul Krul is just annoying in the fact that he can regenerate. Guard YOUR mine only if they're using him as a jungle character.

Intro Top

These tips are pretty basic. Maybe even obvious, but I'm not an mlg pro at this game lol. These are just things I've found to be pretty useful while using Ardan.

Protector Role Top

As Ardan, you'll definitely want to edge more towards the protector role even though the devs mention that he CAN be played as a warrior. I've tried warrior role with him so many times but haven't had any luck. Playing Ardan as his intended role will give your team a better chance at winning. Try to stay back and away from enemies and use Vanguard to strengthen allies. However, if it comes down to it, you can use Blood for Blood to approach dying enemies faster and finish them off. That's why I use crystal abilities such as Crystal Bit and Eclipse Prism and Armor Piercing abilities such as Piercing Spear. Ardan already packs a punch, and if you're playing him as a protector, your special abilities will come in handy much more often.

Ways to use Ardan's Abilities Top

Vanguard: This is going to be your top priority ability. Use it any time you can. It can be used to kill surrounding minions that are on low health, can damage turrets, guard allies, give you a boost of speed, and guard you as well. Use it in desperate situations. For example, if an ally is close to death, use Vanguard on them to allow them to safely retreat behind an allied turret.

Also, this can allow a perfect escape route for you. If you're being chased, use Vanguard on an ally and you can give yourself a decent gap between you and the enemy following you. And, it protects the ally.

Blood for Blood: This can be used to gain on an enemy and finish them off quicker so you can do so before they get to their turrets. If you upgrade your crystal items, this can be used to destroy a turret quicker or land the finishing blow on the enemy team's Halcyon Well.

Gauntlet: Use this to surround an enemy turret while you attack it and keep enemies out. Or, use it to trap dying enemies inside the circle and finish them off with Blood for Blood.

Enemy Threats Top

Definitely stay away from Glaive, Krul, and Joule. They are almost unstoppable when you're by yourself. The most annoying part is when they're hiding. I was in a match where Joule and Glaive hid in the underbrush the entire time and killed you every time you tried to pass their side of the circle. Taka would go and destroy the turret after the three of us died.

Anyways, here's the reasons you need to stay away from them:

Glaive: Glaive is powerful and can charge at you quickly and kill you easily. Your best bet is to use Travel Boots to gain distance away from him then use Gauntlet to stun him and continue to retreat back to your turrets.

Joule: Joule has a jump attack, so Gauntlet isn't very effective. She can just jump over it. Again, stay away from her unless you have other team members with you.

Krul: Krul regenerates health. It's a bit of a harsh move especially for Ardan. Only attempt to kill Krul if you have two Blazing Salvos and Crucible. Be prepared for him to get his health back when he's about to die.

Best Team Combinations Top

The absolute BEST team combination is Ardan, Koshka, and Adagio. OR Ardan, Taka, and Adagio.

Try to get the Taka player to stay in the jungle and guard the Minion Mine. They are your best bet in keeping your mine. And, if it's a desperate situation, Taka can leave the jungle and sneak up to the Lane to attack the enemies with you.

Koshka can defend you and Adagio and can stun enemies to give you and Adagio the chance to kill them.

Lane (Recommended) Top

Alright, so Ardan IS a protector, so that's what you're going to do. Don't try to edge towards the enemy side of the map unless you know you're clear to do so. I've made the mistake of getting too eager or cocky and getting in the middle of a bad situation where Joule or Taka were hiding out in the bushes and end up destroying me on the way over to their side of the map. Stay by YOUR turrets and defend them. That's why you are going to need Blazing Salvo and your extra HP. Blazing Salvo lets you attack enemies quick and kill them quick. Another good ability to buy are the Travel Boots. They add health and they allow you to travel faster so it is a must-have when playing Ardan.

I mentioned this in Adagio's threat level, so imma go ahead and explain it here. Ardan and Adagio are GREAT to have on the same team. Adagio can heal Ardan and Ardan can guard Adagio with Vanguard. In this situation, you can proceed towards the enemy turrets as long as Adagio is following you and gets your plan. Every time I play with somebody using Adagio, either the enemy team surrenders or we finish a match in 20 minutes max.

Jungle (Optional) Top

I've only used Ardan in the jungle once. In this case, you'll want to try and buy health points first then either go for Blazing Salvo or add weapon power. The faster you attack, the faster you deal damage. Thus, you won't need powerful weapons. But that's completely up to you. Then, I would only focus on YOUR side of the jungle. Hide in the underbrush and wait for the enemy to approach. Only attack them when they're about halfway through attacking the Miner. That way, when you attack them, they're already low on health. However, if it's a powerful opponent, wait until they've killed the Miner and gone back to either the lane or their side of the jungle. Then, take back the miner. As for the gold mine, wait until two or all three of the enemies are killed then proceed to take your team to the gold mine and take your goodies. c:

If all three enemies are dead and waiting to respawn, go ahead and take their mine. You have to understand that they WILL try to take their mine back. But don't worry. Let them have it, but take it back any time you have the opportunity.

Turrets Top

First of all, make sure there aren't any enemies nearby. Maybe TRY to convince another player to lure them into the forest. But if there are, use Gauntlet to create a circle around a turret and then you can proceed to destroy the turret or at least lower its health so then you can come back with your team members and destroy it. If an enemy tries to cross the circle, wait until they're stunned and then attack them until they either retreat or...well....die lmao.
