For the fortification build, that would be attack speed, attack crit, attack lifesteal, attack damage, armor, speed, and abilities. This build explores and takes advantage of every aspect of SAW's incredible damage output while also increasing his survivability with Serpent Mask, Journey Boots, and a defensive item. (The defensive item should be picked according to your opponents' play style.)
With these perks, SAW's weakness of low mobility won't be a problem at all since little movement is required. As a stationary artillery unit, SAW doesn't need to run, however, if he does find himself overwhelmed, Journey Boots, and his ability Roadie Run enhanced by Alternating Current easily takes him to safety.
