Guide's Use Top

This guide is mostly for those who have a handle on Glaive's use in the jungle. Players should know the heroic perk as well as the abilities. Those mid to experienced player should find this effective as well as I have. Of course, most matches are based on how well your roam known's their hero and how well your lane is doing. Keep in mind, Glaive is a hunter and with this build he should do well if used right. Stay classy fellow players.

Early Game Top

Early Game:
If you are a daily Glaive user or have played with one, you will find that Glaive can clear jungles very fast especially with his Heroic Perk: Hunt the Weak. The Hunt the Weak perk swoops with his cleave, dealing critical damage to surrounding targets. This does well with both camps that have double minions. Building 2 weapon blades will increase the damage of this, and the swift shooter will help as well by increasing the speed of the attacks (Duh). Keeping a couple health spells will keep you alive if your roam isn't doing his/her job and absorbing the attack; leaving you unhealthy. It will also help keep you in the early game fights. Again, if your roam is doing their job and doesn't give you vision, you can always add some mines and/or flares to your reservoir. However it is always great to save the extra 25 or 50 in-game money for other items. Remember that you have Afterburn as well and if you have to jungle heroes you can always help the lane by visiting. (I know I do)

Mid Game Top

Mid Game:
During this time you will be facing more fights with the the enemy jungle and roam. Upgrading to Heavy Steel, Piercing Spear, and Blazing Salvo will help you deal with both pesky enemies. Piercing Salvo especially if they roam is building a few shield items. I also recommend upgrading your boots so that you can chase/run/get somewhere much faster. The reason I use Reflex Block is due to the fact that it will keep you in the fight or safe from disastrous abilities much faster. However if you feel that you need a different ability for your end game plan, go ahead. I am assuming you all are somewhat experienced players who are just looking for a new Glaive build, so if the fight needs something different then by all means. I would change the reflex block to a light armor to be prepared for a WP Krul or SAW, just like any sensible player. However, it sometimes isn't needed since you Aftershock can knock them away if needed or for escape. Even the use of boots, like I mentioned before, will work. Lastly, to make sure you can deal more damage with your abilities you'll need cooldown speed. The Chronograph works excellently with giving Glaive this need of abilities.

End Game Top

End Game:
At the end of the game, and with the following tier 3 items, Glaive can a mass destroy of weaklings. I would first go for the Tension Bow so you can deal higher damage but also pierce the armor of your enemies, causing more damage. I would then build towards your Tornado Trigger so that you can quickly dispatch of camps and enemies equally. I would then focus on your ability cooldown so when your upgraded abilities are added they can do more damage, which can only happen more often if your abilities have a shorter cooldown. I would then work on your speed and defense. Aegis will help shield you from Ults such as Kestrel's One Shot One Kill and Koshka's Ult. This is also reduces dramatically the damage of crystal users and their abilities. The final weapon item to build is your Sarrowblade, which increases your damage dramatically. My Glaive will be doing 200-300 WPD at this point, making short work of squishy heroes and junglers alike, leaving the roam (If they survive) to run away.

Interchangeables Top

As I discussed in the the Mid Game chapter: some of these items can be interchange able from the main build. All defenses can be changed to suit the needs of the current match. Aftershock instead of Clockwork can give you some crystal damage as well as cooldown speed. War treads can help your team stay with you as you chase or run away or run to. Most builds are a suggestion to what the creator believes is an efficient way of using one character. I personally use this combo and do well.
