Threat Hero Notes
1
  No Threat
2
Rona She isn't much of a threat, considering how slow is she , you just better be careful not to be so compact when she uses her ULT , you could just out kite her easily
3
Ardan You can shut him down easily , just drop your snare of him then his useless
4
Adagio Not much of a threat unless it's a CP one , just be careful of his ULT
4
Krul Someone who steals lives , not quite a problem to you , but at please tell your allies to try bursting him down just be careful of his ULT
4
Lyra Why would you be afraid of yourself? The fight could last forever as long as you have your mana
4
Taka The infamous TAKA , please get out of the box already , Lyra just wants to see you against. This heros really annoying, but thanks to your snare he wouldn't be much of a threat , I suggest snaring as soon as you see he uses X-retsu, cause most of the Taka players kaiten after X-retsu
5
Kestrel She used to be deadly with WP , but thanks to the nerf he isn't that powerful as before . But PLEASE be careful of her one shot one kill
5
Reim An old mage chasing after you . Isn't really much of a threat unless he roots and stuns you . Isn't much of a chaser , I suggest bursting him down first
5
Vox Brother of Celeste , WP and CP builds are quite annoying to be honest , he relies too much about his resonance. But still be careful cause better positioning wouldn't help against him
6
Blackfeather His quite a pain . He's so sticky and hard to take down , be careful of him if he's CP where he can burst you easily , try doing a perfect snare to prevent him from doing more damage
6
Catherine She's quite a stunner , her ability wouldn't be affected by the snare , and her silence will be a problem towards you
6
Idris Quite annoying, he could keep dodging all the skill shots and his chakaram is painful , just be careful not to get too close against him.
6
Ozo Crazy monkey :) , he keeps jumping and doing a lot of damage against your allies , try snaring before he goes in / out of your wall
6
Skaarf Adorable little dragon :) Shooting his little fireballs against you is really annoying and painful , just try dodging the spitfires and the goop he drops
7
Baron Pain is the word, he can spam his A ability easily on you , try to keep away from his A ability
7
Fortress Immortal wound could hurt you allies and you real bad, you couldn't heal properly once he pulled out his wolves , I suggest talking his wolves out first
7
Koshka Running assassin , she could pounce stun and twirl at you . Really deadly with an aftershock , try blocking her ULT and pounce with your snare
7
Phinn One of the greatest CC characters in the game , could stun, pull and put your team into a great danger of you can't block his ULT. ALWAYS try to block his ULT , expect the unexpected
7
Samuel Your really dangerous disciple. His quite dangerous. His Drifting Dark is quite a pain , be careful of his ULT, and trust me you do not want to sleep between teamfights. I suggest running the opposite direst where Samuel is going to prevent too much damage
7
SAW Almost the same as ringo but not mobile , still a threat since Lyra is very quishy. Another reason why should you buy Atlas Pauldron
8
Flicker Demon is the word , he could pop up anywhere , stealthing his allies are even more scarier . Number 1 reason for having contraption
8
Glaive Killer of all squishiness , he could take you down really fast a reason why you should buy Atlast Pauldron
8
Joule Skill shooter , both deadly in her CP or WP build , careful of her ULT when she's CP and careful of her Rocket Leap when she's WP , the last thing you want to do if your fighting a joule is to not get stunned. And try attacking her form her weak spot >_O
8
Petal Another Demon , her minions could munch you and your allies real fast without getting much damage since her minions does all the nasty work , try getting her first but make sure your allies are safe too
8
Ringo Gunner with both attack speed and mobility . Both CP and WP builds of him is quite a pain. Hard too keep up the healing against him . I suggest keeping a early pressure against him in early game like harassing him
8
Skye mobile and painful killer, not to mention how good she can kite , both CP and WP are threats , there's quite a few things you could do against her , unless you could perfectly time your snare to block her suri strike. Try teleporting near her so your allies could kill her much easier rather than chasing her
9
Alpha Quite a threat , both CP and WP alpha is really painful to Lyra ,Lyra can't even escape easily from her
9
Celeste Same as Barron , spams her A ability really fast , does far more damage than Barron , her A could increase range if she hits level 8 , try healing your allies more often cause they'll need it against her
10
Gwen HUGE threat , could bust you down in seconds , kite you and your allies better and sometimes run into your snare without a problem , I suggest buying more health items to survive and support
10
Lance MAJOR threat , could stun and root you , and that one thing you wouldn't like , cause you could help your allies properly , try dodging his root to prevent anymore CC on you

Introduction About Lyra Top

Lyra
Attack type:Range
Position :Captain
Role :Healer/Protector

Drawing upon her training as a Gythian battlemage, Lyra uses healing and protective magic to turn enemy positions into powerful zones for her allies. Her portals also allow her team to bypass these positions entirely, avoiding defenses and terrain. Utility and defense items improve her role as a healer, while crystal items provide a devastating but fragile mage path.

As said above Lyra is a really good supporter. She could snare ,slow ,heal ,grant vision ,and her specialty , teleportation. It's like she's the perfect Roamer already .there's just one flaw , she's too squishy. But today we will just be talking about Tank Lyra AKA: support Lyra.

Top

Principle Arcanum
Slot:Heroic Perk

Lyra’s attacks are arcane missiles, dealing crystal damage. If she holds her ground after releasing an attack, she automatically channels and releases a much stronger arcane missile that deals additional crystal damage and briefly slows its target. Each channeled missile consumes energy, but Lyra can continue using these even if she runs out of energy.

This Heroic Perk is really useful and fun , damaging enemies while slowing them. With this Heroic Perk you could harass the enemies easily especially the laner. But keep in mind that you'll be using your mana real quick, be sure to save some of your mana for your other abilities :)

Top

Imperial Sigil
Slot:A

Lyra forms a sigil at the target location, revealing surrounding enemies. While this sigil remains active, it heals nearby allied heroes and damages nearby enemy heroes. Lyra can reactivate this ability at any time to detonate the sigil, dealing heavy damage to surrounding enemies while providing a moderate move speed boost to nearby allies.

Sadly on Update 2.0 they nerf this ability, it used to have a burst heal , but now it's gone :( , even if the burst heal is gone , this ability is still good :3 , the heal and the speed boost is still strong

Top

Bright Bulwark
Slot:B

After a brief delay, Lyra releases a pulse of magical energy, damaging and applying a decaying slow to surrounding enemies. The affected area then becomes a walled zone of protection that deals the same damage and slow to enemies attempting to cross its borders. Enemies inside the zone are snared, allowing them to move normally but preventing them from using movement abilities.

This is truly one of a kind ability ,and it's one of the best crowd control abilities in the game , not to mention how much moves could be stoped with just one snare. The only down side with this ability is it's cooldown it's quite long.

Top

Arcane Passage
Slot: C

Lyra blinks to the target location, leaving portals at both the beginning and the end of the blink. Portals last for a few seconds, allowing allied and enemy heroes to move freely between them in both directions. Heroes must wait several seconds before they can re-enter a portal. This cooldown is also applied to enemies when Lyra hits them with the initial pulse of Bright Bulwark.

Another one of a kind abilities in the game . This ability is good for initiating, escaping and chasing. But a friendly reminder PLEASE if you're chasing an enemy and you're at the back of your team ,NEVER teleport in front or else you would let your enemy escape cause your allies might teleport to the back. And be sure to use this ability properly , cause it's either it could screw up the whole teamfight or make your initiate really well.

Power spike Top

Well there are just 2 or 3 power spikes for Lyra , you'll receive your first power spike when you reached level 6 when you got your Arcane Passage , if you could use this skill effectively it would be considered as a power spike , so it depends on you if you consider it as a power spike or not. Another power spike is when you reached level 8 when you were able to max out your imperial sigil Its where the healing is high and the cool down is low . And the last power spike is when you reached level 11 where you're able to max out your Bright Bulwark , this may not be as obvious power spike as the others but it's still considered as a power spike considering a low cool down

First purchase Top

I prefer Ironguard Contract , Light Shield , Halcyon Potion and scout trap instead of Oakheart , light shield , Halcyon Potion and Scout Trap . Well theses 2 starting items could drastically change the outcome of the game . Through my experience , I recommend using the first build just for a simple reason , irongurad contract is more sustainable than Oakheart . Well there's also an advantage when you use Oakheart , not mentioning that Oakheart could let yourself live longer and have a stronger healing , but sometimes that healing is not enough to heal your allies properly . Unlike iron guard contract , it doesn't give you health and your healing is weaker , but if you let your allies last hit jungle minions and the big minion on the lane , you and your ally (who last hit the minion ) will heal 75 heath , which is actually much better than additional health and healing that oakheart . But it's still up to you if you want to purchase Oakheart first or Ironguard Contract

Items :) Top

Ok , this is the best part when you play Lyra .One thing you have to keep in mind when your playing support Lyra is that you must ALWAYS build health items . For example items such as, Fountain of Renewal, Crucible,War trends andother more. The reason is simple , it's because Lyra relies heavily on how much bonus health she receives from her items , for the extra powerful heal from her Imperial Sigil and more reliable slow from her Principle Arcanum , and now let's break down to the items .

- Fountain of Renewal-
this item is needed in every Roam/Protector hero . For me this is one of the most important items in this hero's build . With decent passive/bonuses it gives you and a very nice active it have. This item could be the lifesaver of your team , healing so much health within few seconds, and could be the game changer of the whole teamfight. I suggest buying this item ASAP or within 5-7 mins in the game , the sooner the better. During teamfights I suggest activating Fountain of Renewal when you allies are 1/2, 1/4 health or when your Imperial Sigil is on cool down.

- Crucible-
, an excellent items for all Roam heroes . Gives such a huge amount of health and have an active to give reflex block to all your allies in a short amount of time . And if this item is timed properly , it could block anything or save them from deadly situations such as , adagio's ULT , Kosha's ULT and Ardan's ULT.

- Contraption-
, this is personally one of my favorite items in the whole game . This is a counter against Flicker , Taka and the infamous Kestrel . This item when used properly could put you in great advantage with map advantage .

-War Trends-
this is the boots for all Roamers . Like I always say , be more supportive , don't be too greedy :) . war trend , unlike halcyon charger and sprint boots this item have the lowest speed passive , but one the other hand this also gives the most health bonus . This item could be use as engaging enemies , disengage enemies and chasing enemies .

- Stormcrown- / - Nullwave Gauntlet-
These 2 items are interchangeable. Nullwave gauntlet is for silencing enemies item , which is really good , while stormcrown is really good for farming and pressuring enemies .

- Clockwork-
this item is really good for Lyra since she relies a lot of power with her mana , but I still recommend getting -stromcrown- Nullwave Gauntlet-and- Contraption- since these 3 items that I mention could help with cooldown and restoring mana fast.

-agiest- and - Metal Jacket-
These 2 items are for situational , for example , your enemies runs double crystal or double weapon , and sometimes Lyra couldn't protect herself from such attacks , then these items will come in handy.

Consumables Top

- Halcyon Potion-
This item is really important in early game since you don't have much defense yet and your mana/energy could run out really fast , keep in mind that you'll only need this potion in early game , and here's a tip , if you've just recalled and your waiting for yourself to recover , buy a -halycon potion so you could heal faster :)

- Minion Candy-
This item is really important IF you're pushing the lane , this item could also be useful if your enemy could push your lane real fast , with this item activated, it could help you buy some time :)

- Flare-and- Scout Trap-
Both flares and scout traps are VERY important in the game , cause VISION is really important in the winning strategy, besides , face checking is really dangerous.

Tips and Tricks Top

Well here are some tips and trick of playing Lyra :) , well Lyra is quite a fragile hero , better keep in mind that you must keep distance from enemies heroes . And for me there are 2 ways to play Lyra , the offensive or the supporting way. Well in early game offensive is much better , which is using your Principle Arcanum Perk as much as possible . You could do this offensive strategy all throughout the game , but keep in mind that your mana could be spent easily. And there are 2 kind of Supporting, most people now a days uses Lyra's Imperial Sigil as a speed boost , not as a healing spot . Another way is using imperial sigil is using it as a healing spot , which is sometimes dangerous. So keep in mind not to stay in Imperial Sigil that long. And of course , best way is to use both , heal and speed boost if you can , which requires a lot of practice .

Ok , using Arcane Passage is quite difficult to master. Here some few thing you've gotta keep in mind when using Arcane Passage . First , like I previously said never use Arcane Passage when you're chasing an enemy especially when you're at the back of your allies ( usually after team fights ) . Second , when using Arcane Passage drop you Bright Bulwark ASAP to prevent enemies from doing quick movements to escape or attack you and your allies. 3rd , please don't try teleport your enemies to the most fragile allies of yours, When teleporting please keep in mind that your carry / most fragile member wouldn't get caught up when your enemies got near him. Here are some tips when to use Arcane Passage , like is said previously, you're allowed to use it as an engagement, as an surprise attack :) . Or you could use it as an escape , which mostly could/ couldn't be successful. If your opponents have flares , you're screwed, mostly you'll be trying to dodge/ juke them or possibly out run them .

( for all Roamers )
Keep in mind , just because the hero you're using have allot of weakness means it's weak , remember All heroes have their owns specially, you've just gotta watch/ learn and some read some articles to help improve your play style , sometimes there's really nothing to learn ,you've just gotta keep practicing:) . And if you've fail to help/support your allies , you might as well try to help the map awareness of your team . Or try your best to stall the opponent when your allies are respawning (try your best to not give an ace ) . And finally , do anything just to protect you carry / allies from dying ( don't be too dumb too charge in yourself without any plans to save your allies)

Matchups and synergy Top

Now a days Lyra isn't being pick anymore ( just because of the nerf ) , but still a very nice hero for me to use :). In draft mode , if you plan to pick Lyra , keep in mind that you MUST have at least one melee hero in the team , or a hero with a high durability . And one carry hero that could significantly burst you opponent's front line. Lyra could be a great pick 1. If your enemies have allot of movement abilities 2. If you allies need allot of movement speed at the same time needs a little bit of healing .

Game concepts such as team fighting, jungling, pushing, map objectives, ect. Top

Well this part is quite hard to explain . During team fights Lyra could significantly change the whole team fight , with proper position and good kiting skills , you could win the team easily. About jungling , you could help you jungler by healing and a little bit of speed boost just to clear the jungle much faster , you could help the jungler for about 2-4 rotation then you could pressure the enemy laner . Pushing the lane is sometimes not that necessary , you could push the lane if the team fights are mostly in the jungle . You could push the lane easier with Stormcrown / stormbanner . Personally Map Control is one of my favorite, you could pressure your enemies with Map Control/ vision in the map . Knowing where your enemies are could give you a huge advantage in the game , but please you look down on this simple game concept. Map objectives , this is simply turret, gold miner and vain crystal , these objectives are the one reason why winning is much easier, destroy or killing these will guarantee a higher chance of winning but destroying the vain crystal means winning obviously. This is where vision and decision making is important, you could decide when to take it or not .

Hero synergy with Lyra :) Top

There are some heroes that works really well with Lyra :)

- Kestrel-
This hero is really great with Lyra ,since both of them could kite really well , not to mention that Kestrel is really scary with WP and CP . You've just gotta put Kestrel in a better potion , like they say , positioning is a key to winning :)

- Lance-
Since Lance is quite slow in movement speed , Lyra could just help him out really easily . Not to mention how durable and how much offense could he bring in the game , he could be immortal in the game with proper playes

- Reim-
Even an old mage could be useful, just need a little help you know :) . This mage could pack a powerful sorcery, not to mention he have fortified health to back him up

- Rona-
This warrior is really powerful , it's just that she lacks movement speed when she ULTs , enemies could just out kite her easily . Again Lyra could give a little help on her ULT

- Baron-
Even if he is really slow , he also could pack powerful attacks towards the enemies , just gotta give him a better positioning that's all :)

That's all :) Top

Thanks for reading :D
