Threat Hero Notes
1
Ardan Ardan alone does pose any threat. Target him last in team fight.
2
  No Threat
3
Catherine You can just ignore her for the most part. don't attack her while she has her shield up and you'll be fine.
4
Fortress Fortress only poses a threat when with his team. his ultimate can be kited extremely easily and he should be easy to kill. His early game bleed and mortal wound can hurt you however so be careful.
4
SAW Dash out of cp Saw's suppressing fire with your A. Stay away from a wp saw with full spin up. Wait for a stun and then kill him.
4
Skaarf Skaarf is easy to kill. make sure to use your A and boots to stay clear of his ult.
5
Adagio You deal much more damage and shouldn't have a hard time going toe to toe with Adagio. He can be problematic early game and late game however if he build crystal power.
5
Petal Her munions can be easily kited and you can dash out of her ult if needed.
5
Glaive Attack Glaive from a distance and you will be fine.
5
Joule Joule has an AOE stun. This can be blocked or dashed out of easily though. Since the 1.6 update, you can escape Joules ult without taking much damage very easily.
6
Krul Keep your distance and you will be fine. Krul ganks early game can be a bit annoying though so keep traps by lane. Krul also becomes an annoyance late game if he farms well. You can counter late game Krul howev
7
Celeste Celeste has a stun and devastating ult. if u get hit by both you're gone.
7
Koshka Koshka can be a problem if you get ulted, but she typically doesn't hurt as much as Taka.
8
Vox Vox can be a very high threat if he out farms you, and knows what he is doing. always try to maintain a gold advantage over enemy Vox.
8
Ringo Ringo can deal massive damage and can often times pick you off due to his longer range. If you land an ult on him however, half his health will be gone and you can finish him up easily.
9
Taka Taka can deal massive amounts of damage and can also use his B to come out of nowhere, disappear and re-emerge seconds later, or make a fast escape. The more you can avoid Taka the better. Tip: You can use a flare to see where an enemy taka is while he is in his box.

Variation Top

Like all builds, this build is a general guideline and although I would recommend sticking as close to it as possible, there are a few variations that you can use. I will go over these now.
    Early Game:
If you are going against a laner that can harass you easily early game such as Adagio you can build Book of Eulogies first but you must understand that it will make last hitting more difficult. If you want to harass the enemy laner very hard you can also build a Tension Bow early game but I usually don't need it.

    Mid game:
Against certain team comps with heroes that are hard to kite against (i.e. Ringo, Saw, Petal, Adagio) you can opt to keep a Barbed Needle or Book of Eulogies and rush Sorrowblade instead of Serpents Mask. However If you can kite your enemies easily I would suggest sticking with the normal build order.

There are 2 situations in which you should build Breaking Point instead of Bonesaw. The first is if the enemy team has a Breaking Point Krul. Building a breaking point counters Krul better than Bonesaw would because it allows you to build stacks while kiting and start dealing massive crits to Krul. It is basically fighting fire with fire. The other situation would be if you are going against another Weapon Power Vox in lane. The Breaking Point will allow you to outplay the enemy Vox in 1v1 fights and teamfights. If you opt to go Breaking Point instead of Bonesaw you might also want to build a second Serpents Mask instead of your Sorrowblade as it will allow you to heal a huge amount while kiting and won't affect your dps very much as the majority of it will be coming from your breaking point in a sustained fight.

    Late game:
Although I doubt you would need them, if you find that you are having an extremely difficult time catching up to or escaping from enemies you can opt to buy journey boots before you have completed everything else.

Abilities explanation Top

Unlike crystal Vox, whose pulse (B) ability is the most important, it is actually the least important to weapon Vox, which focuses on high single target damage but is certainly not slacking in multiple target damage as well.

Because your B ability is not priority and your A ability gives you bonus weapon ratio you should build your A ability first at level 1.

I would also highly suggest that you hold off on upgrading your B at level 5 and instead wait until you reach level 6 and upgrade both your A and C abilities instead.

Items explanation Top

    - I generally start out with a swift shooter. Vox's basic attack speed at early levels is too low for you to effectively last hit in the lane. Swift Shooter helps compensate for that. I would highly avoid starting with Book of Eulogies as it only provides +5 weapon power and halcyon potions are by far enough health sustain for early game lane players. If you are playing against an enemy Vox and you start with a Swift Shooter and they choose to start with a Book of Eulogies, an Energy Battery, or a Crystal Bit, you can most likely kill them very early if they choose to try and fight you instead of retreating. (Only try to kill them at the start of the game if you know that their teammates are in the jungle and not waiting in the top bushes to kill you)

    - Try to buy Sprint Boots at around 6 minutes because they not only provide you the much needed movement speed, but also the active allows for easy escapes and kill chases. Upgrade to Travel boots later in the game for extra speed and health.

    - Why you should rush Serpents Mask: Just like Eve of Harvest is the most important Crystal Vox item, Serpents Mask is the most important Weapon Vox item. Serpents Mask provides the much needed weapon power and lifesteal for Vox to deal lots of damage as well as sustain himself in a fight. Some Vox's would choose to only build a barbed needle and focus on building just weapon power, and others would just just build a Book of Eulogies and weapon power. Neither of these options would be as beneficial as building Serpents Mask. If an enemy Vox decides to only build a Book of Eulogies and weapon power they will simply not be able to stay in a fight very long and will have to drop out or risk being killed far before you will. If you instead decided to build Barbed needle and rush a Sorrowblade as some Vox's do, you would be doing yourself a disservice. You can Build a Serpents Mask and a Heavy Steel (145 WP, 20% LS) for 3,950 gold. You can build a Sorrowblade and a Barbed Needle (162 WP, 10% LS) for 3,900 gold. That means for almost the same amount of gold (+50) you are trading an extra 17 weapon power (which is largely insignificant at that point in the game) for an extra 10% lifesteal. The +10% lifesteal will be FAR more beneficial in combat than +17 weapon power would be. that extra lifesteal will let you last that extra 10 seconds longer in fight before you get killed or have to drop out. 7 out of 10 times a Serpents mask and Heavy Steel Vox will beat a Sorrowblade and Barbed Needle Vox in a fight.

    - Bonesaw: This is one of the best items you can buy for Vox. It increases your attack speed by a very noticeable 50% which allows you to stutter step very effectively and deal damage very quickly. But that's not even the best part. This item literally shreds your enemies' armor for both you and your teammates. With a mere 5 hits your opponent loses 50% of their armor for 6 seconds. Yes that's right; 50%. Once your enemy has almost no armor taking them down is child's play for you or your teammates.

    - How to choose your defensive item:
    * If the enemies have reliable stun abilities and are dealing mostly crystal damage build Reflex Block and finish with Aegis.
    * If the enemies don't have reliable stun abilities and are dealing mostly crystal damage build Kinetic Sheild and finish with Aegis.
    * If the enemies don't have reliable stun abilities and are dealing mostly weapon damage with low attack speed build Coat of Plates and finish with Metal Jacket.
    * If the enemies don't have reliable stun abilities and are dealing mostly weapon damage with high attack speed build Coat of Plates and finish with Atlas Pauldron.
    * If the enemies have reliable stun abilities and are dealing mostly weapon damage build Reflex Block and finish with Crucible.
    * If the enemies have reliable stun abilities and are dealing both weapon and crystal damage build Reflex Block and finish with Crucible.
    * If the enemies don't have reliable stun abilities and are dealing both weapon and crystal damage build Dragonheart and finish with Crucible.

    - Infusions: These are probably THE MOST IMPORTANT parts of the guide. Anytime past approximately 16 mins try your best to have both Weapon and Crystal infusions running for teamfights. If you only have 500 gold and need an infusion then get a weapon infusion, however, believe it or not, Crystal Infusions are almost as important to WP Vox as Weapon Infusions are. Crystal infusions make your auto attacks deal more crystal damage, make your abilities stronger and able to be used more often, and make you tankier. If you are double infused you have +72 WP, +72 CP, +60 armor, +60 shield, +25% attack speed, and +35% cooldown acceleration. That is ridiculous, and trust me you will notice an enormous difference while fighting. During the 2.5 minutes that you are infused try to rack up over 1000 gold (it's not that hard) so that you can re-infuse and continue upgrading your items.

    - 6th item: It is very unlikely that you will be able to finish this item as you are using so much gold for infusions and the game will be very close to ending. If you are not tanky enough during fights and are always the first to fall you should start building a Crucible. If your team is having trouble staying alive during fights you should start building a Fountain of Renewal. If your hits are not packing as much of a punch as you would like you should start building a second Sorrowblade. If you would like to be able to deal far more hits to enemies you should start building a Tornado Trigger. If for some bizarre reason you are able to finish your 6th item and still have enough gold to keep double infusions running you should upgrade from Travel Boots to Journey Boots. (I have never made it that far and I play Vox all the time)

General tips Top

    - Always Always Always Always Always ALWAYS last hit minions!!!!! Try your best not to miss a single last hit early game. This build is very expensive and you will need as much gold as you can possibly get.

    - Avoid ganks. This is generally very easy. Try to always keep scout traps in the bushes near lane and do not over extend too far without vision. Learn how to freeze the lane slightly over to your side so it is safer for you to farm and more dangerous for your opponent to farm. If the enemy team does try to gank you you can escape very easily by using your B to slow them and using your A to dash back to your turret. You can even block stuns with reflex block if need be.

    - As the carry you will generally want to stay behind your team and let them take the brunt of the damage. The enemy team will most likely target you first and you need to be careful.

    - Try not to use your abilities too often on minions and jungle monsters and instead use your auto attacks. Unlike crystal Vox, weapon Vox has no source of energy sustain and you want to be able to save your energy for attacking enemy heroes or objectives (minion mines, gold mine, kraken, turrets). If you can manage to use your abilities conservatively you should not have any problems with energy sustain.

    - Always practice good map awareness and rotate to jungle when your teammates need you and you aren't in the middle of pushing a turret with your minions. Also, to be safe you will want to rotate to jungle shop when your teammates are also going there instead of going alone.

Combos Top

    Early game lane poke:
(Auto Attack, backwards A) This combo is used to deal short bursts of damage to enemy laners in the early game. make sure that you are dashing backward with your A because it is much safer than dashing forwards into enemy territory.

    Initiation:
(C, B, A or C, A, B) This combo is best for surprising enemies from a bush. Your C will deal a lot of damage upfront and silence them rendering their abilities and escapes unusable, your B will then slow them, you then use your A to land a few hits and then finish them off by following them and stutter stepping.
