Adagio Adagio's Gift of Fire is annoying for the same reason as Petals minions. Other than that, use your stun to cancel his Ult and it should be fine.
4
Celeste Celeste's basic attacks and Supernovas bounce right of Catherine's shield. Make sure you have you shield activated as long as Celeste is around.
4
SAW Saw is no danger as long as he is not spun up. Try to cancel his suppressing fire with your stun.
5
Joule Joule's Ult is useless against you. Stun or shield will make any Joule player cry. Beware of fully stocked up Thunderstrike though.
5
Ringo Rings: he is incredibly bursts. With your shield up, he will do more damage to himself than to you. Ult? No problem as long as your shield is on.
6
Petal Petals Munions are extremely annoying on any Catherine player. Use your shield to try and burn the minions down. Petals Ult will probably not do much if you make sure you have Stormgaurd activated.
6
Vox Vox is a sneaky character. A well timed Sonic Zoom can evade your stun and Ult. try to engage with teammates that can kill him.

3
Ardan Adrian is rather useless without his teammates. Take out his teammates during a team fight and he'll be useless.
4
Catherine You should not be focusing on an enemy Catherine. Take it her squishy teammates first.
4
Koshka Cancel Koska's Ult with your stun. Her burst damage is nothing against your shield.
5
Fortress Be careful of Fotress' Ult. It takes three hits to kill each of the wolves. Do not take him lightly. Try to attack with teammates to take advantage of his fragility.
5
Vox Box is fast and annoying, he can dodge your stun. Get a Lagrange hero as backup for your attack.
6
Glaive Take care when there is an enemy Glaive.his AOE damage an devastate your team... Try to repeatedly spam stuns on him and take him ou quickly.
6
Krul Krul is nightmare against all melee heroes. Only engage with back up. If he gets full stacks on you, activate your shield and watch him cry in pain.
6
Taka Taka is extremely bursts and will essentially do more damage to himself that you if you have your shield activated.
7
Joule Joule's Ult can destroy your whole team at once... Use your shield if your targets by yourself. Your stun is the bane of all channelling Ults. Stun Joule as soon as she activates her Ult.

Ardan Why is your enemy even playing Ardan. His tankiness will work to his own detriment against your aftershock.
3
Celeste Not to worry about Celeste, her Ult and powerful abilities harm herself when you sheild is on. Get boots and her heloigeneses will be easy to dodge.
3
Joule Joules Ulties fears Catherine the most. On your shield or cancel her Ult... And Joule is as good as gone,
3
Koshka Your shield will negate all of Koshkas abilities. And if you have aftershock you can outlast her. Aegis is useful against a heavy crystal Koshka.
4
Adagio Adagio is easy meat. His stun either bounces of your shield or is cancelled by your stun. Stun will negate the slowing effects. Buy Aftershock expecially if he goes tanky and clockwork for super cold down speeds.
5
Catherine Depending on your enemie's skill. This could be easy or hard. Use your stun wisely. Here's a tip.... When she uses her stun to attack, wait a while and stun her instead!
5
Fortress Fortresses wolves are very effective in 1v1s. Take them out as quickly as possible. Fotress usually goes tanky so aftershock will do aloof damage.
5
Petal Petals minions are extremly annoying and won't
6
Glaive Glaive is very dangerous quick attack speed and high damage effectively negate your shield.... Kite him down with your merciless pursuits aftershock.
6
Krul A smartly built Krul's autoattacks won't reflect of your shield. Build Aegis and if he gets full stacks activate your shield and send him screaming in pain.

Catherine's Items Top

The items that are listed in the items list are all chosen for their special synergy with Catherine. Remember that you can't have a set build that is the same for every single match. For example, if the enemies are using mostly crystal then you might want to build aegis .

Firstly, I chose aftershock because the cool down reduction is nice but also because of the massive boost in damage. Aftershock even provides some life steal once, I attacked a Glaive and got 150 lifesteal just from aftershock.

Item number two; Eve of harvest give a very nice crystsl lifesteal. Catherine's abilities use a lot of energy, so it is essential that you have the energy that EOH provides.

If you feel that you're not doing much damage to the enemies, you might opt for a boost from Shatterglass .

Tension bow provides some extra burst damage and works well with aftershock to delive a hard punch.

Like I said earlier, use specific defensive items against specific enemy builds. Crucible , fountain of renewal , aegis and metal jacket are all good against enemies with different builds. If you're facing enemies with very high attack speed like Saw or Krul then you might go for atlas Pauldron .

At the beginning of the game, you might want to get warhorn for the incredibly fast farm speed and the team support more speed. Likewise, contraption is good for quick clearing and you can lay down mines and use flares for free! Speed boots are essential and you should get speed boots as quick as possible. Clockwork is exellent for speeding up abilities and the energy recharge is very useful.

Of course, we can't forget the extra small items like halcyon potions that can save your life with health regen and energy restoration. Always make sure you've stocked up on halcyon potions. Scout traps grant vision and also can change the course of team fights. Flares maintain vision and as a laner, it's always good to check out your surroundings. Lastly, crystal infusions work great with all you abilities and items and are immensely useful for trying to push back the enemies.

Skill Breakdown Top

Catherine has a very wide skill set. In fact, she is the most XP and gold independent hero in the game!

Her heroic perk, Captain of the Gaurd, isn't the best perk in the game as 1 armor isn't really a massive amount. However, every little bit counts and it's important to farm your perk as much as possible by spamming Merciless Pursuit.

Possibly the most useful ability in the game, it's help in fleeing, chasing, it can stun... And it grants bonus armor after use! Spam this ability for the bonus armor and the narrating effect.

Stormguard is one of the most confusing abilities in the game. Basically, anything above 10% of your base health (your health without any items) deflects to nearby enemies. Use this
ability as much as possible to give out as much damage as possible. This ability silences enemies, meaning that they can't use items or abilities!

With a fair amount of damage, this skill can finish off fleeing enemies efficiently... Use this at the start of team fights to give an exellent head start for your team. This ability silences enemies, meaning that they can't use abilities or items for a period of time.

Starting Top

Starting off, you should try to rush Lifespring, it is essential that you have enough health to last in the lane. Constantly restock Halcyon Potions for energy and health. Try to get an energy battery early on as Catherine's abilities require a lot of energy. A perk of lane Catherine is her ability to farm her heroic perk. Spam Merciless Pursuits to harrass the enemy lakers and to slowly build up your armor, every little bit counts. During the early game, make sure you get away as fast as possible to sustain as little damage as possible.

In the jungle, at the start of the game, get halcyon potions (essential) and crystal bit, hourglass or enegy battery. Go to the enemies small farm and draw the minions into the brush to avoid being seen. Tip: activate your shield immediately after attacking the minions and it will bring them down to minimal health. By attacking the enemies minions first, you can get more money for your time.

Engaging enemies Top

When starting a team fight, use your Blast Tremor first to disable the enemy team immediately. Then charge in with you stun and activate your shield to absorb and reflect.

Middle-Late Game Top

After getting your first crystal item, clockwork or aftershock and a defensive item, start to use crystal infusions if there is a need to push or turn around team fights. Use Crucible at points in tea fights when your team has very little health, timing is essential! Likewise with Fountain of Renewal, it is important to use it when your team have very little health as you will receive a bonus.
