Catherine Playing an other Catherine is extremely dangerous in the early game, as you are building a late game machine. Avoid fighting her until late game because any other build will fail in comparison with the right teammate in late game.

The Goal Top

As a roam utility Catherine your goal is to make your team win team fights. In the late game, your job is to coordinate team fights. Get your team together and roam that jungle to pick up a kill in a 3v2 or 3v1 in the blink of an eye and then push targets.

Early Game Top

The role of early game Catherine is to set your jungler up as you rush the Contraption. Start farming with the pair of minions by the central shop on your side. Having picked up an Ironguard Contract and a Mine, start the fight with the minions to take damage and then place the mine in the jungle shop brush.

Once you finish the kill, pick up two more mines and place them in the brush above and the brush leading to the lane for vision. Then with your jungler, take out the central regen minion, followed by the other minion pair and then the last regen minion. While picking up your early game build, continue farming the jungle. Once you have the boots and your jungler is set, take breaks to hit the enemy laner with your Merciless Pursuit to build up armor stacks. Once your jungler can handle things independently, sell off the Ironguard Contract and start rushing that Contraption.

Mid Game Top

Now with the Contraption, always be placing mines in every brush. Prioritize getting vision on the Gold Miner, Minion Miner and then swarm the central brushes with mines to avoid ganks and punish jungle invades. Do however place mines at intervals to stop enemies from triggering all of them at once and outrunning them.

Now that your jungler is set, play the lane, landing Merciless Pursuit on enemies and protecting your laner. Don't try to push the turret, but try to rack up ganks and armor stacks. Protect your laner when they rotate down to the jungle shop and protect your turret. Keep an eye on the lane brushes. Build your core up depending on what the game calls for.

If the enemy is focusing on attack speed, build the Atlas Pauldron first. If the enemy team has a Scaarf or a Joule with heavy CP ultimates, build the Crucible first. If the other team isn't posing a massive threat, focus the Fountain of Renewal.

End Game Top

Once your core build is done, your focus is to win. Get vision in the enemy jungle and get your team together to fight as a 3. Push the lane until you get at least the first enemy turret. Once this is done, leave your laner (with plenty of mine vision) and take your jungler to the enemy minion mine. Steal it and then rush lane again. All the while, protect the kraken from the other team.

Once the enemy is down to three turrets and you have both minion mines, its time to take your entire team to the jungle. Use your vision and secure two ganks, then unleash the kraken. If you manage to get an ace, then let the laner push turrets while you and the jungler take the kraken.
