As an Ardan player i have always wen't with the tyrant monocle because i feel the critical compliments his abilities better [cooldown reduction] but after seeing other guides use the Tension Bow im confused over witch single and only damage item is more effective. If im correct the tension bow doesn't lower with his CDR on his punch dash move?

WP does not affect cooldown.

Guides aside, I've seen lots of tensions in game... the burst damage definitely helps him get last hits on kills. Haven't seen too many Monocles tho be curious to know how well it works.

Same with Ringo... tension works extremely well early game but late game it doesn't do jack when enemy builds up armor...monocles seem better late game however fairly expensive for early game, it's a trade off I guess.

Tyrants monocle?? What? LOL it wouldn't help Ardan very much; monocle goes best with sorrowblade or tornado trigger

Tension bow is your best option... although I would recommend aftershock or breaking point as a better offensive item for Ardan than T Bow. Aftershock provides great damage all game; breaking point matches your tank build well

Weapon power Ardan is worse than tacky Ardan, unless your team is lacks damage, so neither tension bow nor tyrants monocle are necessary

Ardan is best as a tank/support and if your team is relying on him for damage output, something might be wrong. If you do find yourself in the position of needing to inflict more pain on your opponents, Breaking Point along with Bonesaw are my go to items. I usually build toward these in late game when the match is almost exclusively hero battles. I'd suggest Bonesaw first, since it increases your attack speed which brings up Blood for Blood faster. This also applies weakened armor on the hero your attacking, which your whole team will benefit from. Next build toward Breaking Point. Breaking Point will only work for you, IMHO, if you have a tank build that will be able to survive in long team fights.

Tyrants Monocle does work well with Tornado Trigger, but not consistently. Since Ardan's Blood for Blood counts as a basic attack that applies both WP and CR damage (especially when you overdrive this ability for 25% bonus damage), it can make for a powerful punch. But it is very expensive to go this route, and if you are in a tight game, your money would be better spent elsewhere.
