petals hero perk the same as yay, pets!?

Am I the only one who feels like petal got cheated out of a heroic perk? What is the difference between her heroic perk and her second ability yay, pets?

Lol guess that even the devs could tell she was going to be OP.
To be fair, yay pets is unique from perk because it heals her pets and deals damage to enemies standing on seeds that are uprooted by the ability.
