Quick question to forum: is this an acceptable Taka build?

Serpents mask
Tornado trigger
Tyrants monocle
Broken myth
Aftershock
Defensive item or boots

Yes, it's acceptable, but I wouldn't recommend it very much. This build requires a lot of lengthy fights, whereas taka is more of a hit & run kind of hero.

Not only that, but is this in a 40 minute match? That's a lot of gold to get that many tier 3 items. By the time you have half of those, probably most of your matches are already over.

I'd suggest not focusing on a complete build like that unless the team you are playing against has no concept of counter-building and you are racking up kills left and right. Get a couple base builds you are comfortable with that are both WP and CR focused that you can use if your opponents (or team mates for that matter) are leaning one way or the other.

I would swap tornado trigger for eve harvest for extra life steal or shatter glass to give your ultimate heavy even more damage in conjunction with broken myth

There was this one guide somewhere around here which recommended five piercing shards... Super unconventional, and I was skeptical at first, but when I tried it I was pleasantly surprised. Total domination with X-Retsu because of all the shield pierce, even if the enemy builds Aegis.
