I'm like that one dip who's trying to rank up without ever actually knowing what the meta is lol. Can anyone tell me what the meta is if they know? It would really help me out. Thanks!

Well, since you main Roam, I can give a little bit on insight on who is the meta right now.
Catherine is still one of the best captain heroes in the game despite the nerf. The only time it is a bad choice to pick cath is when there is a healer in the other team with another sustain hero(aka Lyra + Krul) and it is kind of impossible to out sustain them.

Right now, Lyra and Grace are really good, and with the changes to sustain, healers are now even more important than before. A team without a healer or a sustain jungler is going to be in a bad spot this update.

Glaive, Krul, skaarf and Petal are all really good jungler this update, and all of them has some form of sustain.

The lane position remains mostly unchanged, it just become more dangerous to farm safely without halcyon potions now so book of eulogies is almost a must on any hero.

Precisely why Vox is so good and Taka is directly and indirectly buffed. His mortal wound becomes more important since he has the easiest Ability based mortal wound(without shiv). Vox can easily build to sustain, unlike Gwen/Baron who must burst.

Good kruls are meta, caths and all healers are as well(this is like the captain meta lol), cp taka is sorta bad, and vox and ringo and skaarf are popular.
