I guess you are saying Overdrive?

Overdrive is the last upgrade to a hero's abilities (except the ult), which will either further buff the effect of the skill much more than other level ups can give (For example, Petal's Overdrive on her munions grants two more lvld instead of one), and some gives interesting abilities (For example, Taka's Overdrive on Kaiten negates the skill's Energy requirement). However, keep in mind that overdrives can cause further increased energy cost as well (For example, Koshka's PF will cost way more energy when overdriven, compared to the cost of lv4 PF.)

Armor will mitigate (Or reduce, so to speak) damages caused by Weapon Power (Basic attacks, skill's WP Ratio-which is rarely the case), and Shield will mitigate damages caused by skills and a variety of Crystal Power induced Damage (Default skill DMG, skill CP Ratio, Boosts from other Crystal-based sources such as Adagio's Agent of Wrath, Ringo's Twirling Silver, and Alternating Current's buff.)

I play as Catherine. This may be a super noob question, but what is the difference between armor and shield? I can't seem to find an explanation anywhere! Am I blind? Dumb? Or just is meant to be assumed knowledge? (I'm new to MOBAs)
