Guided Access Mode - Block Calls, Notifications, Accidental Home/Sleep button presses. by DoubleTake

Guided Access Mode is a lesser known feature of iOS. It allows you to lock your device to a single App, enabling several restrictions.

Specifically for Vainglory, Guided Access Mode has these benefits:

• Block incoming calls
• Block incoming messages, notifications, etc.
• Disable Home & Sleep buttons.
• Disable "Hey Siri"
• Disable Notification Center & Control Center
• Ignore all alarms

Best of all, Guided Access Mode is easily enabled and disabled with a triple click of the home button.

Turn On Guided Access Mode

• Tap Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access
• Turn Guided Access on
• Ignore Time Limits and Accessibility Shortcut

Setting Passcode

• Tap Passcode Settings
• Tap Set Guided Access Passcode
• Enter 4-digit passcode. Choose something memorable, as it's a pain if you forget. Or make it easy and choose 1111. If you forget, comeback to this guide for a reminder.
• Enable Touch ID if your device is Touch ID enabled.

Activate Guided Access Mode - First Time

• Launch Vainglory
• Triple-click home button
• If this is your first time using Guided Access Mode, you will see this screen:

• If you wish adjust the options, see Guided Access Options section below.
• Tap Start

Activate Guided Access Mode

• Launch Vainglory
• Triple-click home button
• Guided Access Started:

Deactivate Guided Access Mode - Passcode

• Triple-click home button
• Enter your chosen passcode
• Setup screen will be displayed:

• Tap End
• Guided Access Ended:

Deactivate Guided Access Mode - Touch ID
NOTE: This method of deactivation is a occasionally buggy.

• Single-click Home Button
• Allow you finger to rest on the Home Button (Same technique as unlocking device)
• Guided Access Ended:

Setup

• When in Guided Access Mode, triple-click home button
• Enter chosen passcode
• Setup screen displayed:

• Tap Options
• Enable or disable features to suit your needs:

• Tap Done
• Tap Resume/Start or End/Cancel

Disable Sections of the Screen

• Enter Guided Access Options (see above)
• Draw areas on screen to disable:

• Click Resume/Start
